The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Nathalie Quinlan, is the person you’re waiting for still not here?_1

It’s all because of that Nathalie Quinlan!

The Zachmann Family showed her such disrespect over Jane Bailey’s matter this time; how could she swallow her pride?

Aren’t they all vying for Nathalie’s favor?

She just wanted to disgust them in return.

She glanced at Ghania Quinlan, actually not looking directly, but said nicely, ”Ghania, happy birthday, you’re getting prettier and prettier.”

Ghania Quinlan bashfully lowered her eyes, basking in everyone’s envy at the moment.

Adelia Tucker, ”By the way, I brought a friend with me. He saw the piece you won an award for and really likes it.”

Ghania Quinlan had just heard Cindy Lawrence mention it and looked over curiously.

She saw another person get out of Adelia Tucker’s car, blonde hair and blue eyes, standing nearly one point nine meters tall, exceptionally conspicuous.

It was a foreigner.

As Olivia Barness made out his face, she let out a startled cry, ”Oh my God, it’s Steven! Steven is here for Ghania’s birthday party!”

That was Steven!

The pinnacle of the piano world, Thomas, a veritable mountain in the hearts of piano students.

Even Mrs. Fisher’s face color improved when she saw Adelia Tucker bring Steven, and her look at Ghania softened a lot.

Compared with the hustle and bustle at the entrance to Waterfront Pavilion,

Nathalie Quinlan’s place was much quieter.

Jhovany Sullivan and the others kept hearing exclamations not far off, watching Ghania flutter about like a butterfly, reveling in the spotlight.

They felt rather sour at heart.

They always felt a chill on their side, as if the wind was bleak.

Justin Wafford’s family was well-off, a typical second-generation rich, usually mixing in different circles. He recognized most of the people the others didn’t.

So he knew the guests Ghania had invited this time were pretty high-caliber.

”Nathalie, hasn’t the guest we’ve been waiting for arrived yet?” he asked uneasily and anxiously, looking toward Nathalie, who was leaning calmly to one side as if oblivious to the bustling scene opposite them.

Just now, that old hag was so despicable, waiting to see them become laughingstocks.

Why isn’t Nathalie worried at all?

Nathalie Quinlan was just replying to Edric Yancey’s message, checked the time on her phone, lifted her eyelids, both beautiful and cool, and drawled, ”Soon.”

Justin Wafford: ...

How soon is ’soon’?

A few minutes, a few seconds?

He was just pondering one question—who exactly did Nathalie invite?

It’s true that Nathalie’s brother, Audrick Zachmann, is a top star, and her father is a senior intellectual, but compared to the guests Ghania invited, they seemed slightly less impressive.

She has a star and a leading actress if needed.

She has high society support with Mrs. Fisher and Adelia Tucker in attendance.

Now even Steven has arrived.

Honestly, he was feeling a bit disheartened, thinking they might really lose today.

”Nathalie, who exactly did you invite? If it comes to it, we should wait inside,” he suggested.

With Ghania outside, and them outside as well, comparisons were inevitable...

Without comparisons, it would be fine, but once compared, wouldn’t Nathalie lose?

”The people Ghania invited are impressive? Is the situation that bad?”

Justin Wafford: ”Yeah, it’s not great.”

”...”

Hearing him say this, Jhovany Sullivan and the others also felt a bit dejected, standing there anxiously, wishing they knew a few influential people who could help Nathalie with a call.

They all looked to Nathalie, waiting for her to decide.

Just then, at Ghania’s side, Olivia Barness suddenly spotted them. Using the corner of her eye, she blurted out, ”Nathalie, didn’t you say you were waiting for someone? You’ve been waiting for so long, but no one seems to have shown up. Are they even coming?”
