The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 221: Chapter 221: Inviting Everyone to Have a Meal Together_1

Additionally, she thought about it and decided to send a message to the last person in her phone book.

[QN: Want to come for a meal?]

They had all been helpful recently, and since there was going to be a meal, she thought she might as well invite everyone to join and have a meal together.

Nathalie Quinlan sent the message without expecting a reply.

Glancing up, she saw that Jhovany Sullivan and her group were still discussing what day next week to go have spicy hot pot when she suddenly leaned back and asked, ”Are you guys free this weekend?”

As soon she spoke,

Jhovany Sullivan and the others immediately stopped their discussion and all turned to look at her.

”This weekend? Saturday or Sunday? I have to go to tutoring on Sunday.”

Freddy Cagwin: ”I also need to go to the bookstore to buy study materials on Saturday.”

”I’m free on the weekend.” Justin Wafford looked at her curiously and asked, ”Nathalie, do you have plans for the weekend? What plans?”

Nathalie Quinlan put down her phone and spun the pen in her hand carelessly, with a bit of a rogue and wild look: ”Nothing much, just wanted to invite you guys for a meal.”

”?”

Why would Nathalie suddenly want to treat them to a meal?

Perhaps noticing the astonishment in more than a dozen pairs of eyes, Nathalie Quinlan leaned back in her chair, set down her pen, and with a touch of reluctance and an indescribable warmth said, ”My family wants to make up for my birthday. They’ve set a seat at Waterfront Pavilion this weekend, want to go?”

”...”

Nathalie’s birthday?!

Jhovany Sullivan and the others exchanged glances, and without hesitation, as if they had agreed upon it, all raised their hands collectively: ”We’ll go!”

Jhovany Sullivan, afraid that Nathalie would change her mind, immediately mumbled about reserving the seat: ”I’ll take a leave of absence from the tutoring teacher; I won’t go this weekend.”

Freddy Cagwin said, ”Then, I’ll also go to the bookstore today.”

Clerent Miller and others were even beating their chests promising that no matter wind or rain, they would definitely be there on time.

Nathalie Quinlan watched their excited expressions, and her lips unconsciously curled up at the corners; a glint seemed to spark in the depths of her dark eyes.

...

Class B.

After Jane Bailey was taken away by the police, another girl named Olivia Barness became Ghania Quinlan’s ’best friend’.

She always took the initiative to run to Class A to gather information for Ghania Quinlan.

”Ghania, I heard from someone in Class A that Nathalie Quinlan is also having a birthday in a few days.”

These days, Class B was inflated with pride because of the awards Ghania Quinlan had won and her upcoming birthday.

They had a particular dislike for Nathalie Quinlan.

As soon as Nathalie’s name came up, someone immediately spoke up disdainfully for Ghania Quinlan: ”Olivia Barness, aren’t you bored? What does Nathalie Quinlan’s birthday have to do with Ghania? Ghania’s family has booked a banquet at Waterfront Pavilion for her. Can Nathalie even afford to go?”

So what if she is the daughter of a Tsinghua University professor? It’s not real money.

After all, she surely isn’t as wealthy as Ghania’s family.

Hearing this, Ghania Quinlan immediately lowered her lashes, her delicate features pale, and said softly, ”Sylvia, don’t say that. Maybe she will also celebrate her birthday at Waterfront Pavilion.”

Sylvia Cadwell scoffed: ”Haha, if she’s also at Waterfront Pavilion, it just shows she’s an imitator. Seeing you celebrate there, she’s envious and follows your example.”

”Imitating someone celebrating at Waterfront Pavilion is nothing. If she had talent, she’d win a big award like you did and bring glory to the school!”

”Exactly.”

”That’s what I’m saying.”

As everyone said this, Ghania Quinlan’s heart was unsettled, and she forced a smile: ”Nathalie... she can’t play the piano.”

But the piece that won the award was indeed modified by Nathalie for her, and she knew it best; her own part in it was at most ten percent, the rest was Nathalie helping her to revise... even to rewrite parts of it.

Thinking of this made Ghania Quinlan internally frustrated; she hadn’t had high hopes for the piece at the time and had submitted it casually.
