He hoped that with this army, he could at least push back Lie Fan’s army from taking Wanling County, which unbeknownst to him had fallen to Lie Fan’s hand, Yu Mi and Hua Xin were given the command of the army that headed toward Wanling while Liu Yao leads the rest of his army to hold off Sun Jian and Sun Ce’s advance on his domain.

Yu Mi and Hua Xin leave for Wanling County leading the army assigned to them, While Liu Yao leads his army to head toward Geyang County where Sun Jian is located right now leading this army against the rabble of soldiers that was sent by Yu Fan and He Qi before.

When Liu Yao finally reached Geyang, the soldiers that were sent there by Yu Fan and He Qi were already on the brink of defeat, and his arrival rejuvenated their numbers and morale to face off against Sun Jian.

Sun Jian and his army who were preparing for their last attack that would destroy the last rabble of Liu Yao’s army, saw the reinforcement that came which reinforced the number of their opposition to the same size or even more than them.

This caused Sun Jian to hold off the attack, and regroup his generals and advisors to discuss countermeasures against the reinforcement that Liu Yao’s army received not knowing that Liu Yao himself led this reinforcement.

With his arrival, Liu Yao immediately takes command of the entirety of the defense leading it personally, even though his health conditions aren’t exactly on a good note but at times like this, he chooses to show the superiority of his bloodline by leading his army.

Sun Jian’s army and Liu Yao’s army battle at Geyang began to intensify, Sun Jian fearing that his army was already too tired to face off against the fresh Liu Yao’s reinforcement army, called for Sun Ce’s army to join him at Geyang.

About 3 weeks passed by before the letter finally reached Sun Ce and Zhou Yu, noticing that this could become a breakthrough in their conquest over Liu Yai’s domain, Zhou Yu suggested that Sun Ce immediately head out with half of his men.

The other half will stay with Zhu Zhi and Bing Zhi to guard Guangchang County which they managed to conquer after consolidating Poyang, if they lose Guangchang it will blow their offensive momentum several times.

Sun Ce and Zhou You lead half of his army toward Geyang, passing by Poyang without any problems as it was under their control now, arriving at Geyang in 3 weeks they immediately reinforce Sun Jian’s army.

Sun Ce’s arrival strengthened Sun Jian’s army, allowing Sun Jian to push back Liu Yao’s army out of Geyang, Liu Yao at this time began to realize that his army was truly weak and could only contend with Sheng Xian outside of that his army was squashed easily.

Liu Yao retreats from Geyang, allowing Sun Jian and Sun Ce to finally control Geyang. Liu Yao retreated to Yangdu, fortifying his defenses in Yangdu and collecting supplies as much as he could there.

After controlling Geyang, Sun Ce and Sun Jian together consolidated the Sun Clan’s power in Geyang, after the Sun Clan consolidated Geyang they planned to attack Yangdu, and force out Liu Yao from there.

All of this happens at the end year of 193, so Sun Jian decides to hold off the attack after consolidating his power at Geyang, allowing his army to have a New Year party, and even drinking some wine.

With entering a new year 194, far from the battle at Yang Province, in Xiapi Lie Fan is celebrating the new year with his family having additional family members, and having a new year’s lunch together.

Lie Fan planned that after celebrating the new year with his family, he would go back to the frontline and begin to prepare to attack Liu Yao’s domain again, with the purpose of ending the battle this year.

Lie Fan: ”After celebrating the new year, I will return back to the frontline with the Tian Mao Battalion and My Bodyguards.”

Ying Yue: ”When will you depart Husband? I alongside Sister Chan and Sister Cai will prepare some food for you to bring on the way.”

Diao Chan: ”That’s right Husband, I will prepare your favorite noodle for you to bring.”

Cai Wenji: ”I will prepare you some of your favorite mooncakes flavor, and the tea you love to drink when you’re busy on the Study Husband.”

Lie Fan: ”Thank you my wives for preparing me some of my favorite foods, Three days from now I will depart from Xiapi after the Tian Mao Battalion supplies are ready.”

Wannian: ”Big Brother you will leave again? How long will you leave for this time?”

Lie Fan: ”Wannian Big Brother will leave for a few months, don’t worry Big Brother will return before you know it.”

Wannian nodded her head and then continued to eat the food in front of her, for her it was already a normal thing for Lie Fan to go out to war and the older she had become, the more she thought of her brother as an undefeated warrior.

Listening to the stories told by Ying Yue or Diao Chan or Cai Wenji about how Lie Fan defeated all of his opponents, and the servants describing how Lie Fan single handedly defeated Lu Bu and more exaggerated rumors, the mindset of Lie Fan will always come back safe is in her mind.

Ying Yue, Diao Chn, and Cai Wenji on the other hand look at each other, deciding to make the food for Lie Fan to bring in his journey tomorrow, collecting the ingredients needed first.

Lie Fan on the other hand played with Yaoyao and Chenchen who were also eating with them, feeding them the porridge that was made for them and full of nutrition needed for them.

The New Year lunch ended in a somber manner, Lie Fan then prepared his things and the supplies needed for the Tian Mao Battalion for his departure back to Jianye County.

Three days passed by and Lie Fan left Xiapi with the food prepared by his wives alongside the Tian Mao Battalion and his bodyguards, heading toward Guangling first where he would board his ship.

While Lie Fan is heading toward Guangling, his expedition group far away in Taiwan has managed to expand the land under their control and have contact with the aboriginal people there.

It turns out just like Yang Hong and Yan Jun are afraid of, the tribe that they have encountered beforehand Tono is a large tribe more like large clansmen that is branched into many tribes of different sizes.

Their system is more like the Nanman Tribes in Yi Province, almost the same but the strongest tribe is the leader of the Clan and the leader of that tribe is correlated as the King of the Clan.

Just like them, the smaller tribes also squabbled among themselves and even absorbed other tribes into their tribe, upholding the survival of the fittest amongst the tribes of the Clan, as long as they adhered to the rule of the strongest tribe.

They managed to gather all of this knowledge after learning the language of the aboriginals step by step and establishing contact and good relations with the aboriginals that they captured.

Utilizing the help of the prisoners turned into allies aboriginals, Yang Hong and Yan Jun told Li Feng and Ling Cao to capture the smaller tribes around their area and turn them into their allies.

This is the policy that Lie Fan told them to do before leaving for Taiwan, if there are any aboriginal people that live there, they should absorb them into their rule and incorporate them into the settlement.

This allowed them to have more people who lived there and have farmers that were separate from the soldiers who did farming for the army supplies, allowing them to stockpile some supplies for future settlers.

The Tono Clan tribesmen were also introduced to the culture and way of life of the mainland. Lie Fan advised Yang Hong and Yan Jun to do this because it would help them incorporate the Tono Clan tribesmen to have the same ideology as them reducing the chance of a revolt in the future.

The Tono Tribesmen at first disliked and even outright refused the teaching from Yang Hong and Yan Jun, but after seeing how easy some of the things they do with the help of advanced tools such as farming they slowly accepted the teaching.

The New Year’s celebration hooked the Tono Tribesmen, who ate many foods and drank wines and beers that they tasted for the first time. The children of the Tono Tribesmen also loved the games that were introduced to them.

Yang Hong: ”My Lord’s knowledge is truly insurmountable, I wanted to know what books he read to have such knowledge that he can predict this kind of thing, and the way to handle this matter is truly flawless in my opinion.”

Yan Jun: ”Haha Master Yang Hong it’s normal thing that Our Lord is excellent in new kind of knowledge. This knowledge was utilized by him so well that it managed to improve the overall power of his force and domain, something that I have never seen before in history.”

Yang Hong: ”I agree, the plans and suggestions that he gave to us also thought two or even there steps ahead of the current situation we face, even develop to the same path or direction that Our Lord has thought of.”

Yan Jun: ”If nothing bad happens, I’m 100% sure that Our Lord will establish a new order in this chaotic time, ensuring another hundred or even thousands of years of peace.”

Yang Hong: ”I hope what you said is true Master Yan Jun, not that I don’t believe in Our Lord but not many people can achieve that, as in history only two people were able to do so which are Qin Shi Huang and Emperor Gaowu or Liu Bang the First Emperor of Han.”

Yang Hong and Yan Jun continue to have their conversation while watching The Tono Tribesmen and Lie Fan’s soldiers eating and drinking together, as the best way for people to know each other and cultivate relationships in this era is through a big party, which full of delicacies and even entertainment that brings them closer with each other.
