Everyone there including Lu Bu feels like what they will do will be the same as what they have done to Cao Cao. Thinking that Liu Bei was weaker than Cao Cao, and having a smaller amount of men compared to Cao Cao, Lu Bu agreed to this plan so after resting for a day they continued east, heading toward Beihai.

Lu Bu’s defeat soon spread across the Central Plains, and then the entire land. Each Warlord immediately raised the level of their vigilance, afraid that Lu Bu would do the same thing to their territory as he did to Cao Cao.

Lie Fan was the first one to receive this news, he gave out Taishi Ci and the Zhuque army to raise their vigilance in case Lu Bu suddenly decided to head and take refuge in him.

Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye predict that Lu Bu will not do as, because Chen Ging would definitely suggest he head toward Liu Bei as he was weaker than Lie Fan, and would not refuse Lu Bu due to his reputation he had to uphold.

Lie Fan understands that, but it’s better to be cautious just in case as nothing is absolute, Lie Fan has learned this the hard way as to how Liu Bei got Qing Province just like that, truly a template protagonist having such luck.

Lie Fan also ordered the Oriole to support Lu Bu in taking over Qung Province from Liu Bei and to search for generals and advisors from Kong Ring’s regime who were dissatisfied with Liu Bei’s ascension to power there.

After giving the order, Jia Xu reported to Lie Fan about how Ji Ling had begun to show signs of submitting to serve him since his family had begun to persuade him, especially his wife and children.

Lie Fan nodded his head and told Jia Xu to keep him updated about Ji Ling’s situation, then he turned his head toward Xun You and asked him how the progress of his navy was under Gan Ning and Jiang Qin.

Xun You reported to Lie Fan that after long progress, Lie Fan can be said to have the strongest navy even surpassing Liu Biao, the secret Dockyard at Huai’An has produced 5 Treasure Ship, 15 Horse Ships, 15 Supply Ships, 20 Troops Transport Ships, 30 Fuchuan Warships, 45 Patrol Boats, and 10 Water Tankers Ship.

All of it was equipped with Hwacha that has different sizes to accommodate the interior and exterior of the ship since the Hwacha have been made by the team who make it research deeper so they can make it all sizes.

The dockyard kept producing more, and the ships were hidden in a strait near Guangling, where Jiang Qin and Gan Ning agreed that it was a good place to hide their navy, due to its dangerous terrain, and not many people dared to sail through it.

Lie Fan feels that with the Navy he has now, taking on Cao Cao’s navy in Chibi is an easy task, he is smaller but his firepower is much stronger, and using the Hwacha on board each ship can deal a deadly blow to Cao Cao’s navy in the original history.

Lie Fan alongside his advisors handles day-to-day matters of Lie Fan’s forces, especially Yu Province lands and Lujiang Commandery which is a new addition to Lie Fan’s territory.

Taishi Ci, Bu Zhi, and the Zhuque Army stationed themselves North of Langye, which caused a misunderstanding that Lie Fan would invade Qing Province, making Liu Bei stationed his army near the border.

Because of this Lie Fan had to send an envoy to Liu Bei, saying that it was a misunderstanding and that this was just a cautious move in case Lu Bu wants to enter Xu Province through Qing Province.

Receiving the envoy, Liu Bei heaved a sigh of relief and pulled back his army, he was afraid of losing his land to Lie Fan just like Lu Bu to Cao Cao, he knew that in terms of military power and supplies Lie Fan vastly superior to him.

Ju Shou: ”My Lord we also have to be cautious against Lu Bu, we have received reports that he led his army east, maybe he will seek refuge to us.”

Liu Bei: ”Then let’s welcome him with open arms, it’s our duty to give a helping hand to others in need.”

Wang Xiu: ”My Lord I think we better refused Lu Bu, what if he did the same to us as he did to Cao Cao?”

Han Yi: ”We can take precautions, by not allowing his army to enter the towns and have to make their camp several kilometers away from the city, what do you think My Lord?”

Liu Bei: ”Hmm Han Yi suggestion can be used, Master Ju Shou do you have any suggestions?”

Ju Shou: ”I advocate for us to deny Lu Bu refuge in Qing Province, but since My Lord wanted to receive Lu Bu then we can use Han Yi’s suggestion and also make sure that our officials are all loyal to Ny Lord, so they would not switch sides and support Lu Bu.”

Liu Bei nods his head, he feels relieved to have competent advisors around him to help him think and solve his problems, even though Ju Shou is the only top advisor he has, having Wang Xiu and Han Yi is already a blessing to him.

2 weeks passed by, and Lu Bu and his army finally arrived in Beihai where they were welcomed by 120,000 Liu Bei army led by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, Liu Bei rode a horse at the front of his army alongside Ju Shu and Wang Xiu.

Lu Bu ordered his army to stop, and together with Chen Gong, Zhang Liao, Cao Xing, and Gao Shun rode toward Liu Bei. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei who saw this also convened around their big brother.

Lu Bu greeted Liu Bei and Ju Shou while ignoring the others, he was informed by Chen Gong that except for Ju Shou, the others didn’t have much influence in the government, due to Liu Bei putting all of his trust in Ju Shou.

Wang Xiu, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei were offended by how arrogant Lu Bu is, by not greeting them no he doesn’t even look at them, Chen Gong who saw this smoothed the situation by greeting every one of them.

Lu Bu: ”Haha Brother Liu Bei it’s our first time meeting face-to-face, let me introduce myself I’m Lu Bu Lu Fengxian The Flying General of Han!”

Liu Bei: ”Liu Bei Liu Xuande, Governor of Qing Province and Imperial Scion of Han Empire. May I know what’s the reason Brother Lu Bu came to Beihai bringing a large amount of men?”

Lu Bu: ”Haha Brother Xuande it’s like this, I would like to take refuge in Qing Province under you, can I borrow a town to become my fief for a while?”

Ju Shou: ”Lord Lu Bu I’m sorry but such a request is not a matter of whether we agree or not, My Lord needs to consider the impact this has on the social and political influence here in Qing Province.”

Chen Gong: ”Please Master Ju Shou don’t refuse first, in exchange for lending us a town to become our fief, My Lord is ready to support Lord Liu Bei in defending Qing Province or expanding his territory.”

Liu Bei: ”I don’t have much ambition to expand my territory, it’s like this I have Pingyuan my hometown in the north which was not part of Qing Province, would Brother Lu Bu be willing to settle there?”

Ju Shou and Wang Xiu’s eyes lit up, Liu Bei doesn’t want to relinquish his hometown to Yuan Shao, even though at first he agreed he changed his mind, causing Ju Shou and Wang Xiu to have a headache.

Now Yuan Shao is still focusing on Gongsun Zan, which is why there’s no attack from him to truly unite the north under Yuan Shao, but now that Liu Bei offered Pingyuan to Lu Bu, they can use him to defend Pingyuan.

Chen Gong who heard this instantly rejected Liu Bei’s offer, Lu Bu may have accepted it immediately but he is different, Chen Gong is not a fool and knows that Pingyuan was a disaster waiting to happen for whoever the holder faced against Yuan Shao.

Yuan Shao now holds lands in 2 provinces Ji and You Provinces, which have fertile lands and can support large amounts of soldiers, Lu Bu’s insignificant 100,000 men will be crushed against Yuan Shao who will have more men than Lu Bu.

Seeing that Chen Gong rejected the offer of Pingyuan, Lu Bu also rejected the offer and asked if there was another town in which they could lend some time, Liu Bei, Ju Shou, and Wang Xiu were disappointed that their plan was seen through by Chen Gong.

After thinking for some time, Ju Shou finally said a town named Huangxia which was a Port Town and Capital of Donglai Commandery, one of the three commanderies in Qing Province, and Chen Gong knew about this town.

It can be said to be a large town, having a port that was used as a transit for merchants and landowners to send their commodities between the North and Central Plains.

The problem is that Donglai Commandery borders directly with Langye Comanndery, which was in Xu Province and under Lie Fan’s control, so they were literally used as protection against Lie Fan.

Compared to Pingyuan, Chen Gong preferred Huangxian which is bigger and safer compared to Pingyuan, as Lie Fan has shown his ambition to expand south by allying with Sun Jian and Sun Clan.

Lu Bu seeing Chen Ging nodding his head, accepted Ju Shou’s offer and so before the end of 192 AD, a news travelled the land which was Liu Bei sheltering Lu Bu and lensing him Huangxia as his fief.

Cao Cao sneered at this news, waiting for Liu Bei to receive his bad luck of having Qing Province taken away from him, while Lie Fan was happy and began to concentrate on Oriole’s influence in Donglai Commandery.

The reaction of other Warlords was mild compared to Lie Fan and Cao Cao who was a direct neighbor of Liu Bei, Yuan Shao can be said to show only disdain and kept focusing on his northern campaign.

Lu Bu and Chen Gong led Lu Bu’s army to Huangxia escorted by Guan Yu and Zhang Fei alongside their army, when they arrive there The governor of Huangxia was informed of what happened by Guan Yu, and told him silently to keep an eye on Lu Bu.

The Governor nodded his head, he then welcomed Lu Bu and his retainers with a feast, also giving Lu Bu’s family the fanciest and largest Mansion that was under the Huangxia Government, making Lu Bu very satisfied with this treatment while Chen Gong began to silently probe who he can convert to Lu Bu’s side
