Lie Fan wanted to rebuke politely the proposal that Huan Jie had just given when suddenly everyone in the hall heard the sound of Wannian giving a startled shout hearing Huan Jie proposal, everyone turned their head toward the pillar, Wannian knew she messed up but didn’t know that Sima Yi behind her put his head down, not knowing what he was thinking.

Lie Fan knows that sound is this, he stands up and calls Wannian to show herself. Wannian who realizes she was found out by Lie Fan panicked for a moment, she turned toward Sima Yi and shook him telling him to do something, she was afraid to be punished by Lie Fan.

Sima Yi who was shaken by Wannian, raises his head and the cloudy eyes begin to turn clear returning to normal. Seeing the panicked Wannian he just let out a low laugh, realizing that a panicked Wannian is pretty cute.

Wannian who sees this slaps him on the shoulder, whispering and telling him what should they do. Sima Yi tells Wannian to just show herself, as Lie Fan must have detected their presence and is familiar with her voice.

Wannian was reluctant to do so, but then she heard Lie Fan’s voice once again calling her to come out, so she hid behind Sima Yi and walked out with her begin him, hiding her face from Lie Fan.

Lie Fan seeing Wannian alongside Sima Yi coming out can only shake his head, the little princess is still a rascal and has tendencies that her temper will be like Lu Lingqi or Sun Shang Xiang, both the ultimate tomboys of this era.

Lie Fan: ”Wannian what are you doing here? Even bringing Sima Yi along with you, you are older than him and should have given Sima Yi a good example.”

Wannian: ”Big Brother I just want to see, who dares to challenge Little Sima and defeat him, he is still a little boy how can an adult do that to him!”

Lie Fan: ”Preposterous! You are the princess of our clan, how could you act like a rascal not befitting of your status, that was not a challenge but a friendly competition, one that Sima Yi agreed to himself.”

Sima Yi: ”My Lord it’s my fault that I couldn’t hold back the Young Miss, please punish me for my incompetence.”

Wannian: ”What?! No Big Brotherhou should punish little Sima, he is just following my lead the one you should punish is me!”

Lie Fan: ”Okay you two little rascals now go back home! The two of you will be punished later after I finish my meeting with our guest, before you leave apologize to them first.”

Both Wannian and Sima Yi followed Lie Fan’s orders, apologizing to the Sun Clan Emissaries. After they apologize, Lie Fan also apologizes to them for the interruption the two caused and orders 2 of his bodyguards to escort Wannian and Sima Yi. back to the Lie Clan Residence.

Huan Jie, Sun Ce, and Zhou Yu were surprised at first, the little princess of the Lie Clan, Lie Fan’s only little sister was this mischievous, dating to eavesdrop and interrupt an important meeting.

They began to feel that she resembled the little princess of the Sun Clan, Sun Shang Xiang who was also mischievous and playful always interrupting Sun Jian during his council.

They feel that the Sun Clan and Lie Clan have one thing in common, their little lady is very mischievous which could also become a bridge for them to build their alliance if the marriage between the two can’t be rejected by Lie Fan.

Seeing the back of Wannian and Sima Yi leaving, the three of them especially Sun Ce can’t deny that Wanniang is beautiful, in the future, she will become a heaven-defying beauty where Sun Quan will be truly lucky.

Lie Fan and the Sun Clan emissaries continue discussing the possible alliance between the two clans, Wannian and Sima Yi on the other hand escorted by Bo Cai and Liu Pi to the Lie Clan residence.

Wannian: ”Little Sima, you think My Brother will accept the marriage between me and that Sun Quan? I don’t want to marry someone I don’t know! And I don’t want to leave my family and you! *cries*”

Sima Yi: ”It’s okay Sister Wannian, I believe that My Lord will never accept it! Even though he is very strict with you, he spoiled you rotten and holds you in the palm of his hands, like the most expensive gem!”

Wannian: ”*Sniff* Okay I see that you are very smart in talking now, you spend too much time mingling with Master Jia Xu and the others, I think it’s time for me to take you out to play again!”

Sima Yi: ”What?! No Sister don do that, My Lord and My teachers will punish me If I dare to skip my class.”

Wannian: ”You always said that, but Big Brother and the masters never punished you harshly, on the other hand, I was always scolded harshly by my Big Brother for bringing you out Humph!”

Sima Yi just smiled, seeing how Wannian pouted remembering how she was scolded by Lie Fan when he heard that Wannian could be married to Sun Quan, the younger brother of Sun Ce and Sun Jian’s 2nd Son.

He felt his heart was full of irritation and panic at the time, Wannian for him his only friend who treated him normally, unlike other kids who marginalized him due to how smart he was.

So he began to feel some sort of dependence on Wannian, he treated her like his sun in his cloudy days of learning, now knowing that this sun could have the chance to be taken away and given to others made him realize something.

Even though he is only 13 years old, he is more mature and sensitive than even an 18-year-old, he realizes that he likes Wannian and doesn’t want others to have her, so he swears to learn harder and prove himself to Lie Fan so he could have the chance to marry Wannian.

Wannian who is still angry at the thought of how Lie Fan is scoring her doesn’t realize the fervent eyes of Sima Yi directed at her, even though she knows about the eyes she will not understand the meaning behind it.

Back to the Main hall, after Wannian and Sima Yi left Lie Fan continued his discussion with Huan Jie and Sun Ce sometimes Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Zhou Yu chimes in on conversation.

Sun Ce and Cheng Pu whose IQ and EQ are lower than theirs, can only nod their head at everything they hear, acting like they understand the meaning behind the words being traded between this group of high IQ people.

Huan Jie and Zhou Yu still push the motion of a marriage alliance between the Sun Clan and Lie Clan, with Sun Quan and Lie Wannian to bring the two Clan closer and reduce the possibility of backstabbing.

Lie Fan is irritated by this, so he is somewhat abruptly cut off by Huan Jie who is still listing the advantages of the marriage alliance between the two clans, saying that he is interested in the alliance between him and Sun Jian but doesn’t want to marry his sister off.

Jia Xu, Xun You, and Chen Qun expected this, so they smoothly recovered from the somewhat awkward situation thanks to Lie Fan abruptly cutting Huan Jie off.

Huan Jie can also see that he touches Lie Fan’s nerves, so he also apologizes to Lie Fan after Jia Xu and the others recover from the awkward situation. Lie Fan accepted it and also apologized for his attitude, which was unfit for his station.

Huan Jie and Zhou Yu exchange eye contact, both can see that Lie Fan either truly loves and spoils his sister or he doesn’t want to be connected to the Sun Clan by marriage.

The possibility of the former is much bigger than the latter, as Lie Fan welcomed them grandly and treated them very well, like how a family member welcomed their relative who came from far away.

Huan Jie: ”Then what should the Sun Clan do to make Governor Lie Fan who is interested in this alliance, agree and ally with Our Lord?”

Lie Fan: ”The Sun Clan doesn’t have to do many things, I recall that the benefit you offer to me is northern Yang Province, which means Jianye and Wu will be included I agree to that, and another thing is to Brother Wentai to support me verbally when I called against Cao Cao.”

Zhou Yu: ”Governor Lie Fan’s alliance with Lord Cao Cao has ended then? I thought I would continue seeing as Governor Lie Fan helped Lord Cao Cao battle against Lu Bu.”

Lie Fan: ”You could say that it has ended after that support, the basis of our alliance is to subjugate Yuan Shu which has been completed, as for our next move I’m sorry I can’t inform you all but I can guarantee that it would not bring any harm to Brother Wentai interest.”

Sun Ce: ”Haha alright then since Brother Lie Fan has said so, I think this means the alliance between My Clan and Brother Lie Fan Clan is officially established?”

Lie Fan turns his head toward Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye to see their opinions, all of them nod their head agreeing with Lie Fan’s move, as not only have they gained an ally in the south, but they also promised the juiciest part of Yang Province.

Only a fool will not agree to this alliance, Lie Fan seeing them agreeing gives his affirmation to the Sun Clan Emissaries, the happy news makes Huan Jie, Sun Ce, Zhou Yu, and Cheng Pu ecstatic.

The alliance between Lie Fan and Sun Jian will support Sun Jian’s legitimacy and garner more support from the nobles in Yang Province, increasing their chances of inviting Zhang Zhao and Zhang Hong who will be known in the future as the Two Zhang of Sun Clan.

After Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye discussed the basis of the alliance with Huan Jie and Zhou Yu, Lie Fan announced the alliance between him and Sun Jian to the land.

Everyone was surprised by the newly established alliance, Cao Cao and his advisors took this as a motion that Lie Fan would focus on the south next, which also meant the end of their alliance.

The other Warlords especially Liu Biao and Liu Yai take this as a threat, Sun Jian and Sun Caln have become a thorn in their side, and with Lie Fan now supporting them this threat now raises several levels since this shows Lie Fan’s ambitions to head south.

Liu Biao is worried, but under the persuasion of his advisors such as Kuai Yue and Kuai Liang, as well as his admirals Cai Mao and Huang Zu, he eventually fest his restless heart and rejected the motion of alliance that Liu Yao requested, which would haunt him in the future and makes him regret for not agreeing.
