Lu Bu turned his head toward Chen Gong, asking him if he should agree to the plan that was proposed by Gao Shun and supported by Zhang Liao, Chen Gong thinking that he hadn’t thought of any plan nodded his head in agreement, Lu Bu who saw this immediately give his order for Zhang Liao to pick the best men to do this task, Zhang Liao cupped his hand receiving the order.

Under the cover of the night, Zhang Liao led a small group of men he handpicked personally, and dug holes, and created traps in the middle of the field, unnoticed by the patrols in Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s camp.

Zhang Liao’s tremendous strength helped the process to be faster, Zhang Liao’s men helped him by making the hole deeper and putting in a sharp wood log, hoping that it could stop Cao Cao’s cavalry where showing some sign of strength could fight against the Bingzhou Cavalry.

Bingzhou Wolf Cavalry was the ultimate weapon of Lu Bu’s army, and Cao Cao’s Cavalry showed some signs of a threat to Lu Bu’s Cavalry is a show of its testament, of course, the world still doesn’t know about the Tian Mao Battalion.

Zhang Liao continued for several hours and it went unnoticed by Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s sentry, after finishing the last pit that was dug by him, he led his soldiers back to Lu Bu’s camp under the cover of the night.

In the morning when Guo Jia, Xi Zhicai, and Ju Shou watch the battlefield together to assess the situation for their next stratagem, they notice that the landscape is slightly different from the previous day.

Guo Jia was the first one to notice the difference with his keen eyes, learning from the stratagem and geography books that he had read that the current landscape is weird especially the small amounts of dirt or a bunch of leaves in the land.

Guo Jia raised his suspicion to Xi Zhicai and Ju Shou, and the two also began to notice the strange landscape. Fearing that it was a trap, the three of them decide to evade the suspicious landscape and attack from the side.

Unbeknownst to them, Chen Gong also notices that Zhang Liao does a poor job of hiding the traps he made in the morning, so he realizes that Guo Jia, Xi Zhicai, and Ju Shou will surely realize this.

Chen Gong then made some changes in the stratagem that he had made, predicting that they would attack from the side Chen Gong assigned more of Lu Bu’s mention the side to counter Guo Jia, Xi Zhicai, and Ju Shou’s strategy.

On the eve of the second battle on the second day, when Cao Cao and Liu Bei sent their army to attack Lu Bu’s fortification and encampment according to the strategy given to them, they didn’t expect that Lu Bu’s soldier was bolstered on the side.

Zhang Liao and Gao Shun were placed on each side, so the formation of Lu Bu’s army was steady so Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army couldn’t achieve the result that was expected by Guo Jia, Xi Zhicai, and Ju Shou.

The defender side which was Lu Bu had the advantage due to the geographical advantage and encampment that he had made, so Cao Cao and Liu Bei’s army needed to push harder to take more control of the battle.

Even though there were some setbacks for the combined army, Lu Bu’s army was pushed back by them multiple times due to the amount of talented generals on their side was bigger than Lu Bu’s side.

Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Cao Ren, Yu Jin, Yue Jin, Li Dian, Cao Hong, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei some of the top generals on the combined army side were much more powerful and experienced than Lu Bu’s generals.

On Lu Bu’s side, the only people who are on their level or can contain them at least are Lu Bu himself, Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, Cheng Lian, and Hou Cheng while the rest aren’t on the same level.

Lu Bu was the Lord so he stayed on the command which was located on the main battlefield, since Cao Cao and Liu Bei also sent their army through the main battlefield just to disable the traps made by Zhang Liao or cover them up.

Guo Jia: ”Looks like Chen Gong has seen through our planned step and countered it by bolstering the left and right side of the battlefield, he is truly a talented man since he can keep up with the three of us.”

Xi Zhicai: ”That’s why I lamented his choice to serve Lu Bu, Lu Bu’s survival right now is all thanks to Master Chen Gong.”

Ju Shou: ”I had the chance to meet with Chen Gong previously during the alliance against Dong Zhou, he is an insightful man full of great vision. Such a talented man helping Lu Bu is unprecedented in history, just like Fan Zeng to Xiang Yu in the past.”

Guo Jia: ”Haha I like the analogy made by Master Ju Shou, unfortunately, he will meet the same fate as Fan Zeng where Xiang Yu can’t use him well just like Lu Bu doesn’t heed Chen Gong’s advice because if he truly does so he would never lose Qing Province.”

Ju Shou: ”Hmm let’s just see, because, from the way I see it, Lu Bu is at least much smarter than Xiang Yu who is truly a muscle head and believes whatever is told to him, especially if it’s from a family member.”

Xi Zhicai: ”Let’s continue to discuss some countermeasures for our army, from the way we saw just now we can see that our army managed to gain some foot points but was pushed back by Lu Bu’s army.”

Xi Zhicai sees some tension between Guo Jia and Ju Shou from the exchange between the two, maybe it’s because Guo Jia is a sly and cunning person by nature while Ju Shou is more honorable so their personalities just clashed.

He turned the topic back to discussing their next step plan in controlling the rhythm of the battlefield, managing to distract both Guo Jia and Ju Shou allowing the tension between the two to disappear.

While the Battle of Taishan is still ongoing, at Xiapi Lie Fan is looking at both of his newborn daughters in the hands of their respective Mothers Diao Chan and Cai Wenji who are holding them right now.

Lie Fan after discussing with Diao Chan and Cai Wenji, also getting some insight from Cai Yong, Zhuge Xuan, and Lu Zhi has decided to name Diao Chan’s baby girl Lie Xin Yan and Cai Wenji’s baby girl Lie Yi Nuo.

Xin Yan’s meaning is beauty and vitality in the hope that she will become a beauty just like her mother, while also having the vitality of her father Lie Fan, she is called Yanyan by both Lie Fan and Diao Chan.

As for Yu Ming meaning is Jade Brightness, in the hope that her future and her life will be as bright as jade, not having the same bad experiences that Cai Wenji experienced and having the beauty of her mother, she was called Mingming by Lie Fan and Cai Wenji.

Yanyan and Mingming become the new sensations replacing both Chenchen and Yaoyao, Ying Yue doesn’t take this to heart because she knows that she has experienced it first now it’s Diao Chan and Cai Wenji’s turn to experience that.

Chenchen and Yaoyao are 3 years old now, both were ecstatic seeing the small babies in Diao Chan and Cai Wenji’s arms, they also called both of them Mother after Lie Fan consideration because he wanted them to have a sense of belonging as part of their family.

He doesn’t want things like the in he watched in modern drama and read in books in his previous lives to happen, where the next generation schemes against each other forgetting about family harmony.

Of course, all of that happens because their mothers have poisoned them so that they are the favorite or have to become the favorite of the father who is the head of the household and controls their lives.

Fortunately, Lie Fan feels that his wives are all understanding people, and can give in to each other for the sake of familial harmony in his household, allowing him to have a peaceful backyard.

Ying Yue: ”Chenchen, Yaoyao don’t disturb your sisters they are sleeping right now, Mother Chan and Mother Ji have just put them to bed.”

Chenchen: ”Mother I would like to play with my sisters, Yaoyao also wanted to do that right Yaoyao?”

Yaoyao: ”Yes! They are so cute can we wake them up, Mother Chan and Mother Ji?”

Lie Fan: ”Chenchen Yaoyao you can’t wake up your sisters, Mother Chan, and Mother Ji also need to rest that’s why they put both of your sisters to sleep. Yo I am playing with them when they wake up okay?”

Chenchen + Yaoyao: ”Okay Father!”

Diao Chan: ”Fufu what cute kids they have grown up to form the babies that I held for the first time a few years ago.”

Cai Wenji: ”That’s true time just passed by so fast, now we hold our own beautiful babies. I’m sorry that I can’t give birth to a son for your husband.”

Diao Chan: ”That’s right if you have another son at least he can support his big brother in his rule in the future.”

Lie Fan: ”Okay you two it’s fine, I’m happy that the two of you are safe and our babies are also born safely, and who said that the three of you can’t give birth to another group of sons or daughters or both for me hmm?”

Lie Fan’s words make the faces of Ying Yue, Diao Chan, and Cai Wenji turn red immediately, making Chenchen and Yaoyao who saw their mother’s faces turn red ask them if they feel hot or sick.

Realizing that they still have children among them, they immediately shake their heads and throw out the bad thoughts that are lingering in their heads far away, while giving Lie Fan a bad eye which Lie Fan responds with a smile.

They spend some quality family time together, while on the other side, Wannian is playing with the trio of Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang, and Lu Xun in the courtyard of the Lie Clan residence.

Wannian is the tallest among her group of friends for now, so she declares herself as the boss where Sima Yi immediately seconds her motion trying to make her happy, while Zhuge Liang asks sheepishly why it has to be her who became the boss, and Lu Xun just nod his head in agreement.
