He feels that if he accepted the invitation, it could boost his career and influence but he is afraid to destroy Zhuge Liang’s bright future, not that serving Lie Fan is bad for him but he is afraid that Zhuge Liang can’t have the place to shine, since Lie Fan has many top advisors under him that were talented in any ways.

Zhuge Xuan was in a dilemma, Zhuge Liang stayed silent standing beside Zhuge Xuan even though he felt that it was the best choice to agree to Lie Fan’s invitation, he always adhered to Zhuge Xuan’s decision.

Lie Fan turned his head toward Zhuge Jin, who was sitting beside him, and used his eyes to tell Zhuge Jin to persuade Zhuge Xuan, that Lie Fan’s priority now was him and Zhuge Liang was secondary because if Zhuge Xuan didn’t accept then he can’t have Zhuge Liang as well.

Zhuge Jin receiving Lie Fan’s code, feels his uncle subtly that accepting Lie Fan’s invitation not only can boost his status, but also provide Zhuge Liang with a better learning environment.

Zhuge Xuan who was pondering his choice was intrigued by what Zhuge Jin said, asking him what he meant by Zhuge Liang having a better learning experience since Zhuge Xuan believed only Pang Degong and Sima Hui could teach his nephew.

Zhuge Jin then feels Zhuge Xuan that Lie Fan is thinking of building an academy where Zhuge Xuan was invited to become its teacher to be open for the novels, merchants, and scholars classes in his domain.

There are many famous people have accepted Lie Fan’s invitation to become a teacher at this academy, there’s Lu Zhi, Cai Yong, Jia Xu, Xun You, Chen Qun, and Liu Ye with a special counselor about medicine which is Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjin.

This lineup of famous people makes Zhuge Xuan flabbergasted, he knows almost everyone on the list except for Liu Ye. Lu Zhi and Cai Yong were the same generation as him, but not worse than Pang Degong and Sima Hui in terms of teaching.

Zhuge Xuan becomes interested in accepting the invitation for him to become a teacher at Lie Fan’s academy, he can’t deny that Xiapi is much safer than Pang Degong and Sima Hui’s home place.

After some more thinking, Zhuge Xuan finally decides to accept Lie Fan’s invitation, making Lie Fan ecstatic and telling him that he has made the right choice, as Zhuge Liang will have a classmate who is on par with him in terms of talent.

This revelation surprised Zhuge Xuan, as Zhuge Liang’s talent can be said to have been born in several hundred years, and only one in each era or time it was born, now there are two which shows that chaos is truly near.

Zhuge Liang who heard this was happy that there was someone who was on oar against him in terms of talent, making him want to have a discussion and exchange with this person.

Since Zhuge Xuan decided to stay, Zhuge Liang of course followed suit as he wanted to learn the knowledge from all of the teachers that we introduced by his brother, but he promised himself that when he was older he wanted to learn under Pang Degong and Sima Hui who Zhuge Xuan have talked about to him.

Lie Fan doesn’t know that in several years Zhuge Liang will leave for Sima Hui and Pang Degong, where Zhuge Liang’s fate to serve once again hangs in balance without Lie Fan knowing.

Zhuge Xuan’s acceptance means that Lie Fan’s objective was accomplished, after talking with Zhuge Xuan for some time Lie Fan take his leave alongside his advisors and his bodyguards.

Lie Fan returned to his residence, where he was surprised that Cai Yong, Lu Zhi, Huangfu Song, and Zhu Jun were waiting for him in the main hall, they came here to talk with him.

Lie Fan: ”Father In Law and Uncles what a surprise, you should have informed me that you wanted to visit, I can have the kitchen to prepare some dishes and wines to consume while we talk.”

Cai Yong: ”No need My Lord, I came here today to accompany these three old men beside me to meet with you, they have something important to discuss with you.”

Zhu Jun: ”Humph Old Cai can’t you speak nicely, we are also people of the same generation so you also insult yourself.”

Lu Zhi: ”Okay you two stop bickering, Lord Lie Fan we came here today because we heard of you meeting with Zhuge Xuan whom you summoned, it looks like he has agreed to whatever invitation you have for him?”

Lie Fan: ”Haha yes Uncle Lu, Master Zhuge Xuan has agreed to my invitation to become a teacher at an academy that I will build in Xiapi, since Uncle Lu and Father In Law were here I would like to extend the same invitation to the two of you.”

Cai Yong: ”Hoh? An academy? My Lord truly has such grand ambition, will this be a preparation to replace the Imperial College and Exam?”

Lie Fan: ”Father In Law is truly perceptive! Yes, that’s my ambition, all of us here are smart people and knew that the Han Dynasty was decaying and would be demolished sooner or later.”

Lu Zhi: ”The truth is Lord Lie Fan, your invitation was almost the same as what I, Old Huangfu, and Old Zhu intended to talk to you with.”

Huangfu Song: ”That’s True! Little Lie I mean Lord Lie Fan, we have lived here in Xiapi for several years and have come to terms with the Han Dynasty reigns coming to an end, we would like to offer you our loyalty.”

Lie Fan was stunned to hear that, he actually had thought of recruiting Lu Zhi, Huangfu Song, and Zhu Jun to become his retainers, as their experience and knowledge were very valuable for future generations.

They are the three heroes who managed to subjugate the Yellow Turbans, having them as his retailers will raise his prestige, and talents that still hold loyalty to the Han Dynasty will turn their heads to him since the three heroes all choose him.

Lie Fan while thinking of that, turned his stunned expression to a happy and ecstatic one, saying that he accepted their allegiance and that they always take care of him and close friends of his father, so even if they didn’t swear their allegiance he would treat them well.

Lu Zhi, Huangfu Song, and Zhu Jun breathe a sigh of relief, seeing so many young and talented people joining under Lie Fan’s banner sway the hearts of loyalty they have to the Han Dynasty.

They are loyal but they aren’t fools, they still cherish the position they have worked so hard to reach for, if they don’t jump into the bigger boat then they will drown alongside the smaller boat.

They brought Cai Yong alongside them because they were afraid that Lie Fan would reject them since they were old now and Lie Fan had so many capable and talented people serving him, not thinking of the kind of influence they have.

After Lie Fan accepted their allegiance, Lu Zhi began to ask questions about the academy that Lie Fan wanted to build, Cai Yong also joined asking several questions about the academy.

Lie Fan answered their question about the academy and explained to them how he wanted to have this academy teach the noble, merchant, and scholar classes all under the same roof since talent isn’t only from the noble class who usually dominates the field.

Lu Zhi and Cai Yong turned their head to each other, they could see that Lie Fan had a deeper meaning in integrating these three classes, but they couldn’t figure it out, but seeing such an ambitious project they agreed to join in as teachers in the academy.

Huangfu Song and Zhu Jun weren’t interested in talking about the Scholars Academy, they were more interested in what task would be assigned to them by Lie Fan, as they were in their fifties and heavy physical tasks were not suitable for them anymore.

Lie Fan stays silent for a while and then decides to assign them as the Army Trainers and Police, their task is to train the army, especially the new recruits, keep the discipline of the army at the highest level, and capture military personnel who break military law.

Huangfu Song and Zhu Jun feel that this project suits them, so they were grateful for Lie Fan’s assignment. Lie Fan told them that they could recruit their personnel, with a maximum number of 5,000 men.

Zhu Jun who’s positioned as the commander who guards the horse farm, was replaced by his son Zhu Hao for now until Lie Fan had a better position that suited him.

They continued to have conversations for some time, Cai Yong was the first one to leave followed by Lu Zhi lastly Huangfu Song and Zhu Jun who left together, Lie Fan then spent some time with his family, especially Diao Chan and Cai Wenji who was pregnant.

Lie Fan’s plan for Xiapi’s Scholar Academy has been on his mind since he thought of improving the quality of education since he couldn’t change to the social order where the commoner class was blocked from receiving higher education he decided to change the influential classes first.

The building of the Academy, Lie Fan ordered the construction of the building a year ago. It was positioned in the Northern Parts of Xiapi, and it could accommodate up to 300 students.

Since the staff of the Academy has been divided, Lie Fan assigned Cai Yong to become the Principal of the academy, Lu Zhi as the Vice Principal, and Zhuge Xuan as the displicinary staff slash teacher.

Lie Fan was too lazy to think of a name for the Academy, so he named it Xiapi’s Dragon and Tiger Academy. The establishment of such a prestigious academy soon spread among the upper classes in Xiapi and then in every corner of Lie Fan’s domain.

Since it can only accommodate a limited number of students, soon Upper Classes in Lie Fan’s domain fight for a spot for their younger generations, utilizing their contacts and influence to receive the spot.

Of course, Lie Fan has reserved quotas for Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang who have so much potential and will become a heavyweight in the future shadowing all talents who live in the same era as them.

Many people who utilize their contact to be in touch with Lie Fan doesn’t surprise him, what surprised him was that Lu Kang contacted him and asked if he could reserve a spot for his grandnephew Lu Xun, son of Lu Jun and grandson of Lu Yu who was influential officials in Han Dynasty, Lie Fan almost forgot about Lu Xun who was also a heavyweight in his own right.
