Zhang Miao tried to persuade Lu Lingqi to go back, but suddenly an arrow was headed toward him, Zhang Miao couldn’t react in time, but Lu Lingqi who was beside him used her halberd to block the arrow saving his life. Zhang Miao seeing this feels that he can allow Lu Lingqi to join, as long as she stays beside him.

Lu Lingqi was ecstatic when she was allowed by Zhang Miao to stay, as her father told her to listen to Zhang Miao when he was going to battle Cao Cao.

Cao Ren is shown as the general-in-chief of the army, ordering Li Dian, Yu Jin, and Bao Xin to storm Puyang’s defenses, as he has seen that Puyang have a smaller amount of soldier compared to them.

Zhang Miao has managed to collect all able-bodied City Guards in Puyang, and they only have around 15,000 soldiers alongside Lu Lingqi 300 women soldiers that he doubted could fight.

Xu Si and Wang Kai suggested to Lu Lingqi that her unit stay back, insinuating that they will only hold back the other soldiers. Lu Lingqi was angered by their words, she raised her halberd to hit them but was stopped by Zhang Miao.

Xu Si and Wang Kai saw this and immediately take a step back, wiping the sweat on their heads as they can doubt Lu Lingqi’s units, but they doesn’t doubt her strength as they have seen how she trained with Lu Bu.

Zhang Miao after separating Lu Lingqi from Xu Si and Wang Kai, begins to assign his men to key points defensive position on the wall, as they need to hold on until Lu Bu arrives to reinforce them.

Cao Ren, on the other hand, split his army into 5,000 men under him, 5,000 men under Bao Xin, 20,000 men under Li Dian, and 20,000 men under Yu Jin.

Li Dian and Yu Jin led their army to attack Puyang, bringing siege ladders alongside them and preparing the battering ram. Bao Xin led his men to support Li Diand and Yu Jin, helping them assemble siege weapons like catapults.

Cao Ren led the archers and kept shooting arrow after arrow at Puyang, to create an opening for the Infantries to climb up the wall, as they needed to take down Puyang at the fastest speed possible.

The siege of Puyang began, 15,000 men against 50,000 men where the attackers outnumbered the defenders 3 to 1. Zhang Miao gives a speech for his men to stand tall while defending, as Lu Bu silicone to save them.

Even though the City Guards’ training was easier than the soldiers of the army, they at least received the same quality equipment as normal infantry, which helped their combat power.

Lu Lingqi led her 300 women to defend Zhang Miao and the others, she stood at the front and saw a catapult shot, and a boulder fly, hitting east of the wall, and some of the city guards there.

Li Dian and Yu Jin order their men to begin climbing the siege ladders, where melee combat begins to ensue. Lu Lingqi made a formation with her unit, where they allowed Cao Cao’s soldiers to climb the wall.

Lu Lingqi then led her unit to a pincer attack on the soldier who had climbed up the wall, Lu Lingqi at this time showed her strength by killing the soldiers who climbed up the wall easily, with her units following behind.

Her soldiers then threw some of the bodies from the top of the wall, which hit some of the soldiers that climbed the ladders, killing them or injuring them in the process.

Lu Lingqi’s unit’s combat power and ferocity opened the eyes of Zhang Miao, Xi Si, and Wang Kai as they didn’t expect that these women could fight so fiercely, they aren’t that strong but utilized their agility and speed to incorporate perfect coordination with each other.

Li Dian and Yu Jin who led their army saw the commotion upstairs, especially seeing some dead bodies being thrown down and crushing the soldiers who were climbing the ladders.

The both of them climbed the ladders, as they felt that there was a strong presence up there which they needed to deal with. When they reached the top, they saw Lu Lingqi and a unit of women soldiers raising their weapons at them.

Li Dian and Yu Jin were surprised, as this was the first time they had seen women participating in the battle, Lu Lingqi us this moment where they were distracted to strike first, and Li Dian alongside Yu Jin blocked her attack.

Feeling the impact and weight of the attack, they were shocked as they could feel Lu Lingqi’s strength from that attack must be above them, while surprised they returned the attack to Lu Lingqi.

Lu Lingqi was fighting against Li Dian and Yu Jin, who were weaker than her but had more experience in a duel, especially since this was Lu Lingqi’s second duel and it was 2 against 1, so Lu Lingqi was slowly being pushed back.

Lu Lingqi unit seeing this decided to help their Captain, using their perfect coordination to take advantage of the opening being shown by Li Dian and Yu Jin.

Zhang Miao, Xu Si, and Wang Kai focus on directing the soldiers defending the wall, with Zhang Miao and Wang Kai participating in the battle themselves.

Puyang Siege battle was going on fiercely, on the other hand at the crossroads between Chenliu and Puyang several tens of kilometers away from Puyang, the battle was fierce but it slowly turned into a stalemate.

Chen Gong: ”My Lord, I was looking at Cao Cao’s army number again after the battle yesterday, and by the count of their supplies wagon, and tent being set up I think Cao Cao didn’t bring 200,000 men.”

Lu Bu: ”Hoh? What do you mean by that Gongtai? Cao Cao doesn’t bring 200,000 men?”

Chen Gong: ”Yes My Lord, and I always trust my instinct, I think Cao Cao and Guo Jia have something up their sleeves, we have to be prepared.”

Zhang Liao: ”Master Chen Gong, if I may what if Cao Cao sent some soldiers to attack Puyang through Xiaopei?”

Chen Gong: ”That could become a possibility, but Cao Cao and Lie Fan’s alliance can’t continue after they managed to defeat Yuan Shu.”

Lu Bu was a bit tense at first when he heard what Zhang Liao said, as that could become a possibility but after hearing what Chen Going said, his restless heart was calmed down.

Lu Bu then kept watching the battle happening, where his soldiers were defending their position against the numerous onslaught of Cao Cao’s soldiers.

At this time, Gao Shun suddenly goes toward their position bringing a messenger alongside him, and with a hint of panic in his voice, Gao Shun reported to him alongside Chen Ging about what transpired in Puyang.

Lu Bu and Chen Gong were shocked by this, Lu Bu who was angry and afraid at the same time, asked the messenger with a loud voice, if it was true what Gao Shun had just said.

The Messenger knelt on the ground and said that it’s true everything Gao Shun said, he was sent here by Zhang Miao to request his reinforcement.

Lu Bu then began to truly panic, he asked Chen Gong what should he do, as Chen Gon was confident that Cao Cao and Lie Fan’s alliance had broken down, so how could now 50,000 of Cao Cao’s men siege Puyabg from the east.

Chen Gong knew that he was a step behind Guo Jia and Cao Cao, as this was the ace in their sleeves. Chen Gong between proving his worth or defending Puyang, chooses to defend Puyang.

He advised Lu Bu to order a retreat after this battle, so Puyang could defend the siege battle for as long as a week with the number of City Guards they have.

Lu Bu wanted to order the retreat immediately ignoring Chen Ging’s advice, but Chen Ging told him that if they showed panic to Cao Cao, they would be chased by Cao Cao which could endanger Puyang.

Lu Bu was persuaded by this word, so some hours passed, and in the evening the battle slowly stopped as it was the norm since ancient times that at night it was time for rest, of course you can still have a battle but your vision is not as good on the day.

So under the cover of the night, Lu Bu and his army retreat silently leaving torches and mannequins made of cloth and grass with wooden sticks, to deceive Cao Cao and his men into thinking that they were still there.

What they don’t know is, that Guo Jia and Xi Zhicai have predicted that this would happen, but they let it happen as they would like to take Puyang without many casualties, where they will follow them in the morning.

Lu Bu led his army to speed up, where they would spend around 5 days before reading Puyang, they shortened it to 3 days not knowing that Cao Cao’s army stalked them from behind.

When Lu Bu and his army arrived, they saw how Puyang still stood tall which made Lu Bu finally rest easy. They entered Puyang through the Western gate, and Lu Bu brought Chen Gong and all of his generals to the Eastern gate.

There Lu Bu finally meets with Zhang Miao and the others who are ecstatic that Lu Bu finally comes, but what surprises him the most is the presence of Lu Lingqi alongside many women whom he knew was a unit that he allowed Lu Lingqi to have.

Lu Bu wanted to scold her and punish Zhang Miao, but seeing the time was not right he held himself from doing so, Chen Gong then took over the defense from Zhang Miao and began to close some openings in their defense that Zhang Miao didn’t notice.

All of Lu Bu’s men who were now around 90,000 men defended the wall by joining the defense, and Cao Ren who was below could see the additional men standing atop the wall so he knew Lu Bu was back which meant their plan work.

Cao Ren slowly reduced the intensity of his attack, which caused Chen Gong to be confused at first but then he was suddenly enlightened, realizing that this was also a trap or trick being set by Guo Jia.

Chen Gong told Lu Bu and all of the generals there, that they had entered Guo Jia’s trap, and when Chen Gong finished saying that a soldier ran up to them, reporting that at the West gate, Cao Cao’s army was seen on the horizon, making them need to battle at 2 sides.
