The man introduced himself as Zhou Tai and declared that he wanted to swear his allegiance to Sun Jian and serve the Sun Clan, he brought 200 of his brother’s arms with him to serve Sun Jian. Sun Ce was surprised at first, but thinking that it was better to have more allies than enemies right now, he accepted the oath of allegiance for his father for now and allowed Zhou Tai to assist him in capturing Poyang.

Zhou Tai’s presence helped Sun Ce tremendously, for anyone who doesn’t know Zhou Tai, he was one of the strongest and best generals in the Wu era under Sun Quan, becoming Sun Quan’s bodyguard.

His help to Sun Ce and his allegiance to serve Sun Jian was different from the original timeline, Around the early 195 in the original timeline, he and Jiang Qin came to serve Sun Ce in his contest in Jiangdong, helping him defeat Liu Yao.

Sun Quan then favored Zhou Tai due to his merit, so he requested for Zhou Tai to be transferred to his unit, at that time due to Sun Quan’s negligence, he was surrounded by bandits who attacked his location.

Sun Quan’s men panic when they encounter this situation. Only Zhou Tai, with his spirits, roused, rushed to protect Sun Quan, emboldening those near him and making them able to fight again.

When the bandits finally dispersed, Zhou Tai had sustained 12 deep wounds all over his body and he took a long time to recover, this caused Sun Quan to favor him even more.

Receiving help from Zhou Tai, Sun Ce finally managed to pacify Poyang after several hours. Sun Ce praises Zhou Tai tremendously, and how his help fastened his pacification of Poyang.

With Poyang under his control right now, Sun Ce decided to stay at Poyang to rest his army. He holds meetings with all of his retainers, introduces Zhou Tai, and praises him for his help because thanks to Zhou Tai the time they need to spend is less than needed.

Zhou Tai was honored by Sun Ce’s praise and promised him that he would do the best of his abilities to help him, Zhou Yu on the side evaluated Zhou Tai and could see that he could become an asset for Sun Ce’s rule in the future when he succeeds Sun Jian.

Sun Jian’s survival in this timeline changed the whole complexion of Sun Ce’s future rule, Sun Jian’s death in the original timeline helped Sun Ce consolidate his influence over Sun Jian’s Veterans promising revenge.

This helped him consolidate his rule and allowed him to break out from Yuan Shu and then begin his conquest of Jiangdong, unfortunately after pacifying Jiangdong he was assassinated unable to uphold his promise, which then was succeeded by Sun Quan.

Now the situation is different, even though Zhou Yu knows that Sun Jian will definitely tell his veterans to follow Sun Ce, his presence will still play a role in Sun Ce’s rule because his prestige is much bigger.

That’s why Sun Ce right now needs young blood that could become his confidante, and Zhou Tai can become one of those people as he has the talent and experience to do so.

Sun Ce’s appointment to lead the second army group was under his persuasion to Sun Jian, that Sun Ce was ready and just needed the platform to prove to all of Sun Jian’s retainer that he was a competent successor.

Sun Jian agreed with Zhou Yu’s suggestion, because with this leg being amputated he had some problems with his mobility, and it also became a hindrance to his daily rule over some important matters.

He also feels that it was not a good image for his force to have a leader who has a disability, lowering their prestige and impacting their recruitment of talented people, especially in the Jiangdong region.

So he decided that after defeating Liu Yao and cementing their alliance with Lie Fan, he would have Sun Ce to succeed him while he enjoyed his time with his family, of course, if Sun Ce ever needed some advice or help he would help Sun Ce.

Sun Ce’s Successful conquest of the entirety of Poyang County was sent to Sun Jian by Zhou Yu through a letter, asking him for their next command while they rested at Poyang.

Sun Jian who was at Geyang County facing off against 20,000 men who were sent by Yu Fan and He Qi to hold him off, received the letter while discussing their next course of action while facing off against 20,000 men, that he felt could be defeated easily.

Sun Jian: ”Haha! Good! Good! Bofu doesn’t disappoint me one bit! He managed to conquer Poyang County so fast that even I the Tiger Of Jiangdong was ashamed of this speed!”

Huan Jie: ”It all thanks to My Lord teaching to the Young Lord, without My Lord teaching Young Lord will not become such a great warrior and leader!”

Cheng Pu: ”What Master Huan Jie said is right My Lord! Young Lord has shown such great progress and merit, My Lord doesn’t need to work for your future successor now!”

Sun Jian: ”Okay you two, My teaching is nothing if Bofu himself doesn’t want to improve himself and decides to not listen to my teaching, My contribution is only 10% while the rest comes from his own will.”

Huan Jie: ”My Lord is too humble, Young Lord follows the example that was set by My Lord to him since young, allowing him to have such a mindset.”

Sun Jian: ”Haha alright, stop praising me, Gonglu in this letter asked me for their next order, what do you think they should do now that the entirety of Poyang is under our rule?”

Huan Jie: ”If I may My Lord, I think that after they take a rest for a few days, Young Lord and General Zhou Yu could lead their army to attack Guangchang next in the north, take advantage of the easy situation we have right now.”

Sun Jian: ”Hmm I agree, then send my order to them, after they finish taking control of Guangchang, we will then attack Liu Yao’s capital together after securing Geyang and Yangdu which was our next target after Geyang.”

Huan Jie cupped his fist toward Sun Jian, receiving his order, and began to draft up the letter filled with Sun Jian’s order and instruction for Sun Ce and Zhou Yu, then sent it to Sun Ce and Zhou Yu.

While the Sun Clan was making great progress, Lie Fan and his army group also made great progress at Jianye, since the reinforcement they had waited for so long didn’t arrive the morale of Jianye’s army was at an all-time low.

Especially now that Lie Fan personally entered the fray, intimidating the soldiers who were guarding the wall after experiencing and seeing the prowess of Lie Fan, and also Lie Fan’s Yellow Ghost whose face helmet mask was intimidating accompanied by their skill and prowess in supporting Lie Fan.

Jianye’s Governor fled the location after knowing that Lie Fan and his Yellow Ghost bodyguard managed to infiltrate the wall, this news was spread among the ranks of his men lowering their morale even further.

This caused some of the soldiers to choose to surrender to Lie Fan, helping Lie Fan take on their former comrades many were influenced by this decision, choosing their own lives just like how Jianye’s Governor left them behind for his safety.

Lie Fan uses this moment to lead the soldiers who surrender to him and join his side, to control the gate and open it allowing his soldiers alongside his generals such as Ji Ling and Chao Bai to enter Jianye, without waiting for the battering ram to force open the gate.

The fall of Jianye’s Southern Gate was followed by the fall of Jianye’s Western Gate soon after the Western Gate heard the news, lowering their morale even more and allowing Lu Jun to take this chance and break through the Western Gate.

The flooding of Lie Fan’s Army Group in Jianye signals the end of the siege of Jianye, as Jianye has been comprised and they have nowhere to run now because their Northern and Eastern Gate is close to the docks, which was bombarded by Lie Fan’s fleet before, not giving them the change to leave.

Lie Fan’s Tian Mao Battalion under the leadership of Xu Ring assisted by Ze Rong guarded both gates from the outside, killing the soldiers under Liu Yao who tried to flee Jianye.

Jianye’s Governor is heading to the Governor’s Castle that was guarded by the last battalion of soldiers under his command, but this can’t stop Lie Fan’s advance to take control of Jianye.

Many of the soldiers choose to switch sides after knowing that many of their comrades switched their allegiance toward Lie Fan, giving them the courage to do the same which allows Lie Fan to take control of the Governor Castle and capture the Governor.

The capture of Jianye’s Governor signals the end of the battle and the fall of Jianye to Lie Fan’s hand. Lie Fan spent some time in Jianye after that alongside the Army Group he led organizing and consolidating his rule over Jianye.

After feeling that everything is good, Lie Fan then continues to lead his army group in subjugating the rest of Jianye’s County, as this is a great chance for him to exploit without having any true challenges along the way.

Jianye County was in chaos, Lie Fan led his army group in a blitzkrieg tactic managing to consolidate his rule over each town and village without wasting much time for his war machine to continue.

The Fall of Poyang and Jianye reached Liu Yao’s capital after some weeks, much later than usual because their front line is in bad condition right now, with Sun Jian and Lie Fan dominating.

The fall of Poyang and Jianye shocked Yu Mi and Hua Xin, they never expected that Lie Fan would join Sun Jian’s attack so quickly and that the two counties would fall that fast under the onslaught of both Sun Jian and Lie Fan.

Liu Yao who received the news then scolded Yu Mi and Hua Xin for being so incompetent, saying that even though Yu Fan and He Wi are traitors right now, their abilities are far more superior than theirs.

This caused both Yu Mi and Hua Xin began to resent Liu Yao, the two of them had been introspecting themselves these past few days and could see that they were blinded by their envy, and all of this is because Liu Yao didn’t give them a chance, now he could only scolded them which makes them aggrieved.
