Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The dark underground chamber is hard to observe visually.

Yet the impact of destruction is as glaring as a bright spotlight.

Chen Ming must first find a way to break through the destruction zone created by the Destruction Core before he can deal with the lab confined within the underground chamber’s area.

To pass through this destruction zone, he can either, like the Mechanical Race, use high-strength psychic special materials to resist the effects of the destructive fluctuations and forcefully break through.

Or he can directly see through the essence of the Mechanical Race’s method, using pure spiritual energy fluctuations to offset the destructive fluctuations.

The second method seems like a plan that fits the style of a Psychic.

However, as Chen Ming sees it now, the Mechanical Race is definitely using some technical means to activate the effect of the Destruction Core, creating this circle of the area.

Using his own power to contend with the Antimatter Reactor’s Antimatter Engine is definitely not a sane approach.

And the first method.

Despite the special-level materials themselves being quite rare.

Since Chen Ming began involving the Insect Race in the resource development on the exploration route, the development of special resources has become much easier than before.

The Insect Race he left on resource-rich planets can efficiently breed, and of course, they can mine the resources there.

As a result, Chen Ming’s resource inventory has increased recently.

Furthermore, the materials for the Biological Power Armor he developed and manufactured recently have also been updated according to the changes in material stock and the evolution of the Insect Race.

The Biological Power Armor has always used top-notch special materials with psychic properties.

In other words, the method Chen Ming should choose now is actually the first one, to charge in directly.

Of course, Chen Ming was not that reckless.

He continues to use his powerful perception ability to confirm the internal structure of the laboratory.

Soon, Chen Ming completes the reconnaissance phase and mentally plans his steps after entering the laboratory.

He wraps spiritual energy fluctuations around the inner side of his armor to compensate for any possible vulnerabilities of the armor itself, and the Insect Queen’s spiritual energy also acts upon him.

His body erupts with tremendous power and speed, breaking through the earth from the strata, charging into the destruction-covered area, heading towards the Mechanical Race’s lab.

The destructive spiritual energy acts upon Chen Ming’s armor, reacting with the psychic properties of the armor materials, and constantly destroying the armor’s structure.

The destructive spiritual energy renders Chen Ming’s maintenance spiritual energy ineffective, but Chen Ming can still manually control the materials to fill any damaged parts of the armor, offsetting the impact of destruction.

The distance from the edge of the underground chamber to the outer layer of the internal lab, which is the width of the destruction area, is not long.

With adequate protection, in just a moment, Chen Ming forcefully breaks through the destruction area, relying on his powerful Biological Power Armor.

He punches through the lab’s wall, entering the lab’s interior.

Although this process left his biological armor with pitted marks, and some parts of the armor structure unaffected by destruction experienced various depletions in psychic properties.

But all damages were instantly restored as Chen Ming exited the destruction area.

Inside the lab, the alarm sounded.

Yet on both sides of the pure white corridor where Chen Ming stood, no Mechanical Race units appeared.

After all, the destruction area is far stronger than the units of the Mechanical Race; if someone can break through the destruction area, then using ordinary Mechanical Race units to block is meaningless.

Nevertheless, several simple defense systems inside the lab were automatically activated but were promptly shutdown once Chen Ming reached into the lab.

However, he soon discovered that the lab belonged to the lab itself, while the room housing the Destruction Core was an independent structure.

He couldn’t directly control it through the lab.

But this was not a big issue, as since his main body came here, he planned to take the risk proactively.

Chen Ming paused in place, wanting to see if the Mechanical Race had any further actions.

But he encountered no incidents, as if the Mechanical Race genuinely had no intention of stopping him, allowing Chen Ming to enter the lab and approach the device.

This situation made Chen Ming feel peculiar, increasing his vigilance, focusing more on his danger perception ability.

Yet now there’s a small issue, his consciousness is almost entirely overlaid by the perilous sense brought by the Destruction Core.

This is inevitable, given the Destruction Core’s power is the most terrifying.

He can only pay more attention to other dangers obscured by the threat of destruction.

Through Chen Ming’s combined perception and spiritual energy, he opened a quick pathway between the lab’s interior and his target, the device containing the Destruction Core.

Allowing him to reach the lab’s core area at the fastest speed.

On the way, Chen Ming faced no obstacles from the Mechanical Race.

Or rather, it wouldn’t be that easy even if they intended to.

Not only had Chen Ming controlled the lab, but also, outside the lab, there is the destruction area. Chen Ming needed some effort to enter, and the Mechanical Race itself, unless they stopped the Destruction Core’s operation, faces the same issue as Chen Ming.

The Mechanical Race seemingly has no such plans, so they can’t proceed with further interference.
