Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Except for Chen Ming, no one knows what An Wuping and Luo Yi discussed after the meeting.

However, Chen Ming was quite satisfied with what An Wuping and Luo Yi talked about.

At least his goals were indeed achieved.

Not only has everyone treated An Wuping and him as two completely separate individuals, but he also successfully pinned the blame for the Black Mist Insect Race on Zuo Jing.

Having dealt with the Insect Race issues involving An Wuping, Chen Ming decided to seize the momentum, relying on the approximately one million insect race fleet at his disposal, and take down the Mechanical Race’s Destruction Carrier while they were reeling from recent losses.

At that moment, the boss suddenly called him: ”I saw the insects you sent contacting those biological ships, but it’s a bit slow; some people have already obtained samples.”

”It’s not a big deal, just some samples, they can’t target me, and I’ve also reached an agreement with the Empire to share some technologies related to biological ships.”

”You? Oh, An Wuping, right.”

”Yes.”

”That’s good.”

After saying this, the boss did not hang up but asked Chen Ming: ”By the way, it seems you never had a Main Ship? My Mother Ship is still docked here, care to take it?”

”Also, do you remember when you brought back a Radiation Level from Dusk? I previously let the Association manage it. If you need it, I can get it for you.”

”Uh...”

Chen Ming hesitated and said, ”Actually, I do have a Main Ship.”

Moreover, he had just acquired it, the two Mechanical Race Mother Ships besieged by the Black Mist Insect Race.

Just then, after destroying the resistance of the Mechanical Race Mother Ship, Chen Ming directly used Spiritual Energy to remove the Mother Ship, but he did not control it.

As for the reason...

”Because it is the first Main Ship I have controlled, I don’t want to choose it too randomly.”

The boss raised his voice slightly: ”Not random? Are Main Ships random?”

”How should I put it...”

Chen Ming explained the situation of having taken two Mechanical Race Mother Ships, and then said, ”Also, I actually have a peculiar feeling.”

”That my first controlled Main Ship should be a powerful Battleship, the stronger the better, and the more closely related to me, the better.”

The boss asked, ”What do you mean? Main Ships have different applicable environments and capabilities, how to compare strength?”

”I don’t know, it’s just a feeling, I even feel it’s better to craft one myself.”

In essence, this unique feeling prevented Chen Ming from controlling the Mechanical Race Mother Ships in terms of Spiritual Energy after physically commanding them.

He looks down on the mass-produced models of Mother Ships from the Mechanical Race.

He might just bring them back for repair, and the household HR can directly use them.

And the other Mother Ship can be directly fed to the Insect Queen.

Though HR controlling the Mechanical Race Mother Ship counts as Chen Ming indirectly controlling it.

Yet it’s akin to when Chen Ming could actively leverage the capabilities of the Dusk Core to indirectly control Battleships beyond his power limits.

He now can actively choose not to turn Dusk Core indirectly controlled Battleships into personally controlled ones.

Even if his current possession was the Radiation Level mentioned by the boss, it is the same.

He is somewhat unimpressed now.

Chen Ming had previously considered the boss’s Main Ship, and he believed that if he really asked for it, the boss wouldn’t refuse.

But he ultimately chose not to mention this due to the same feeling.

The boss surprisingly had no objections to Chen Ming’s odd attitude and instead said, ”I told you this because you mentioned before that you’re stuck at a bottleneck and need an opportunity to break through your limits.”

”So... is this what you call the opportunity?”

Chen Ming shook his head: ”I’m not sure, I just have that feeling when controlling a Main Ship.”

”That’s great, just trust yourself, I won’t offer any useless opinions.”

”This kind of thing is best handled by yourself; regardless of your current capabilities, it doesn’t matter. Take the chance to find the most suitable one.”

”No need to rush; you’re only 26 this year and have plenty of time.”

”I know.”

”Okay, call me if you need anything.”

He ended the call with the boss.

Chen Ming reaffirmed his thoughts.

He indeed desires a Main Ship, but it doesn’t mean he has to control those two Mother Ships.

He just needs a Main Ship to serve as combat strength or to be fed to the Insect Queen.

The first Main Ship he truly controls must be an immensely powerful one.

This might affect the upper limit of his breakthrough after exceeding the limits of Spiritual Energy.

He vaguely already has some ideas about a Main Ship, but it requires time to realize them.

Considering the power he has now, he still has time.

A few dozen minutes later.

Chen Ming regained his composure and felt rejuvenated.

After completely resolving the Black Mist Insect Race issues within the Empire, he also confirmed the whereabouts of the Mechanical Race’s Destruction Carrier.

The Mechanical Race did not keep the Destruction in the rear logistics area but sent it to the core star system of the Mechanical Race Star Realm.

Which could be dubbed the mechanical race capital, a star system with the highest level of development and progress in the Mechanical Race.
