Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The wound quickly grew new flesh, and the scales recovered in an instant.

Soon, it regained consciousness.

It made affectionate sounds towards Chen Ming, and its tentacles wrapped around him in a swirl.

It followed Chen Ming’s robot closely, unwilling to leave.

It seemed to consider Chen Ming its new Clan Leader.

So, does the Phase Giant Beast have some cognitive issues?

But that’s not a bad thing for Chen Ming.

It’s not like he hasn’t raised pets before; this one just happens to be slightly larger.

Moreover, Chen Ming conveniently has many projects related to Phase Space to participate in.

Though his understanding of Phase Space is not yet deep, his prosthetics and robots have been researching this technology all along.

He will eventually be involved in the cutting-edge projects of the Ship Research Institute.

The Phase Giant Beast can help him a lot in these areas.

Even now, Chen Ming can have the Phase Giant Beast go to the Ship Research Institute to assist under his name.

With him supervising the whole process, there won’t be any issues.

In fact, everyone at the Ship Research Institute should venerate both the Phase Giant Beast and Chen Ming together.

But there’s no rush for now.

Chen Ming’s initial goal in contacting the Phase Giant Beast was to communicate with a species at odds with the Mechanical Race, to see if there’s a way to achieve mutual benefit, like creating trouble for the Mechanical Race together.

Though now he realizes it’s merely a conflict between the Phase Giant Beast’s group and the Mechanical Race.

And only two of the Phase Giant Beast’s group survived; one is too weak, only able to disgust the Mechanical Race, while the other has gone insane.

But that doesn’t mean Chen Ming can’t exploit the Phase Giant Beast to cause damage to the Mechanical Race.

The insane Clan Leader still holds value.

Therefore, Chen Ming needs to thoroughly understand the situation of the Phase Giant Beast’s group to decide on his next steps.

One way is through nerve links.

This time he doesn’t need to bother the boss.

Chen Ming once again took out the thick nerve created by the Insect Queen previously.

After personally feeding the Phase Giant Beast, it no longer resists Chen Ming as it did before.

Silently accepting Chen Ming inserting this nerve into the gap in its scales, it proliferates and connects to its own nerve system.

And Chen Ming also links directly with this nerve through Spiritual Power, constructing a more stable consciousness channel.

Subsequently, he understood what the Phase Giant Beast’s group really is.

Phase Giant Beasts are life forms within Phase Space.

They pursue gaps that might appear at any moment in Phase Space leading to the Crimson Dimension, using their Phase Power to repair these gaps and obtain food from them.

Special individuals powerful enough, like the Clan Leader, can rip open those gaps at any time.

Their relationship with Phase Space is akin to symbiotic bacteria within a human body.

They maintain the safety of Phase Space.

Or, there might be another possibility.

Since Phase Space is a special dimension, it seems to Chen Ming that this dimension might possess self-consciousness.

And this dimension has a much tighter yet resolutely isolated connection with the Crimson Dimension compared to the normal universe.

Therefore, the aggressively Crimson Dimension sometimes breaches the dimensional barriers, invading Phase Space.

It’s impossible for the consciousness of the dimension itself to handle every affair personally.

Thus, it proactively nurtured the existence of Phase Giant Beasts.

Of course, this is just Chen Ming’s random speculation.

The most crucial insight he gained from the Phase Giant Beast is that they exist by pursuing the power of the Crimson Dimension.

And the Clan Leader of their group is driven insane by the Crimson Power.

So.

Just a bit of guidance from the Crimson Power.

The Clan Leader should follow Chen Ming’s ideas and head to certain places.
