Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

So he did not want to stop there.

He wanted more.

No matter how great the losses, it was worth it.

Whether it’s the Destroyer or the Star Gate.

Moreover, if he hadn’t insisted on using cruisers and motherships in direct confrontation, he could have utilized many different methods to deal with the Mechanical Race.

At most, the Mechanical Race could have taken advantage during the initial surprise attack to strike down one or two Insect Race fleets, but afterward, their motherships wouldn’t see a single Insect Race warship.

Yet direct confrontation has its benefits as well.

At least, all the motherships the Mechanical Race has deployed, except the Destroyer Carrier, have now been tainted with the blood and flesh of the Insect Race.

The Insect Race’s fearless combat style allows them to easily approach close enough to splatter their flesh onto the armor of the Mechanical Race warships.

Chen Ming can easily achieve more if he wants.

And all this is merely an appetizer.

The main course has yet to formally appear.

After the Mechanical Race launched a counterattack near the logistics area.

Their teleportation systems will temporarily be unavailable.

Meanwhile, Chen Ming’s Insect Race fleet rapidly assembles within a star system inside the Mechanical Race Star Realm.

Currently, Chen Ming has already tracked the movements of several Mechanical Race motherships and knows the Destroyer is still within the Star Gate Star System.

Thus, to achieve his goal, he must first entice the Destroyer Carrier out.

The entire Insect Race fleet gathered and was redistributed into eight Insect Race fleets.

Each fleet had more than 500,000 cruisers, with a total number exceeding 4 million.

This number can crush any fleet it encounters.

However, considering the Destroyer’s existence with its wide-area attack capability and the density when the fleet number exceeds a certain threshold.

Chen Ming opted for dividing his forces, using the safest means to handle the upcoming matters.

The eight fleets that were separated already had the scale of the entire Insect Race force from Chen Ming’s previous proactive attack, sufficient to destroy any Mechanical Race colony.

This time, with such power.

Besides the Destroyer, Chen Ming need not consider anything else.

All he needs to do is one thing.

Randomly select a few lucky colonies of the Mechanical Race, march the fleet right up to their doorstep, and draw out the Destroyer Carrier.

But currently, Chen Ming is still unclear about where the Mechanical Race’s reinforcements might be.

He has to be prepared for this.

In case the reinforcements, similar to the Destroyer, can also cause terrifying damage to his Insect Race fleet in a short period.

After the Insect Race fleet regrouped.

A massive teleportation began.

Each of the eight fleets locked onto a star system inside the logistics region of the Mechanical Race, initiating teleportation.

This time, Chen Ming’s target was not to acquire Mechanical Race technology; he had already obtained enough from the prior Mechanical Race colonies he captured.

Continuing to seize colonies would merely shorten the development time for his Mechanical Race.

And aiming for a bigger goal, he can accept some necessary losses.

Besides, although doing so would damage the Mechanical Race colonies, it would also result in acquiring a new Insect Hive Planet.

Which is not a loss.

And as Chen Ming’s fleet initiated teleportation.

The Mechanical Race naturally detected those teleportation fluctuations.

They would certainly respond immediately.

With the destruction of the logistics star realm, their frontline will inevitably be pushed forward.

The Mechanical Race itself, having been partially disrupted by Chen Ming in the logistics star system, can only sustain star realm defense strength in front of the Empire for less than half the time previously possible.

It’s what Chen Ming asked Bai Quan, saying that if the Mechanical Race lost half its logistics support, how long the Mechanical Race could hold up, to which Bai Quan personally responded.

And if that logistics region rich in resources inside the nebula region were completely destroyed.

The Mechanical Race would lose a portion of crucial resources and the vast majority of basic supplies.

They might even be unable to mount a final desperate counterattack against the Empire.

So, the Mechanical Race soon couldn’t sit still.

Chen Ming’s remaining reconnaissance means on the edge of the Star Gate Star System where the motherships are stationed soon detected the Star Gate being activated and signs of mothership activity within the star system.

Though the signs of mothership activity quickly vanished.

Chen Ming understood that this was the Mechanical Race sending their mothership back into phase space.

Relying on phase space to suppress the normal universe, avoiding damage to the mothership from the Insect Race within the normal universe.

So this mothership can focus on attacking without worrying about being attacked.

Even this Destroyer Carrier did not show signs of assembling an escort fleet after leaving port, directly initiating teleportation.

After all, the escort fleet is ultimately sacrificed to the Insect Race fleet anyhow, no need wasting them squaring off against the Insect Race.

The Destroyer Carrier’s teleportation fluctuations soon appeared right in front of the nearest Insect Race fleet to the Star Gate Star System.

Though the Insect Race fleet here cannot see the mothership’s whereabouts, Chen Ming can see the mothership that suddenly appeared in phase space here.

The energy dispersing light from the Spine Peak Cannon Destroyer seemed magnified to the extreme, and in the next instant, it completely dissipated.

Destruction was unleashed.

Chen Ming had already tried to disperse the Insect Queens loosely, but even so, the number still could not be fully scattered.

And at that moment of destruction, over 500,000 cruisers of the Insect Race seemed to be bitten off by an invisible giant mouth, instantly dissolving a quarter.
