Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The Destruction Carrier has arrived here.

This might be because the Mechanical Race fears that if the Insect Race continues to deploy more troops, it will leave the Destruction Carrier without a chance to retreat.

Although this is considered the Mechanical Race’s core region, according to Chen Ming’s reconnaissance results, the military forces within those Core Star Systems are just the ones that engaged his Insect Race earlier.

The Mechanical Race’s mid and lower-level ships have basically been emptied by Chen Ming.

Only the fleets still struggling against the Empire on the front lines remain, along with the nine Mother Ships left behind after fierce battles with Chen Ming’s Insect Race.

At most, you can count each colony planet’s orbital defense facilities and so on.

And the Mechanical Race seems to have no intention of recalling its frontline units.

So even though the Mechanical Race is currently still resisting the Empire, they clearly have lost the ability to resist and can only rely on those few remaining Mother Ships to serve as combat force.

Assuming Chen Ming had just a week... even four or five days, he could produce an Insect Race fleet capable of independently exterminating all living power in the Mechanical Race Star Realm.

However, doing so doesn’t benefit Chen Ming; it would lead to direct conflict with the Empire.

Moreover, the Mechanical Race apparently does not want to give Chen Ming this time.

Because just as Chen Ming utilizes substances he controls scattered across the Star Systems for investigation,

he discovers that after reaching its destination—the Mechanical Race’s Core Star System—the Destruction Carrier started moving again, continuing with other Mother Ships to head towards the logistic area where the Insect Race might soon ravage, and continues to stand guard there.

If it were just this, that wouldn’t be much.

But the key lies in the fact that when this Mother Ship left the Star System, its Spine Peak Cannon was replaced.

The Destruction was dismantled and left on a planet within the Mechanical Race’s Core Star System, or in a space station, or inside some giant dock.

In any case, the Destruction is no longer on that Mother Ship.

It’s unclear what the Mechanical Race intends to do.

Chen Ming feels that it doesn’t look like they’re trying to replace the Mother Ship on which the Destruction is installed.

Because the Mechanical Race presumably has no other Mother Ships at this time.

Let alone specially modifying them to be suitable for combat in Phase Space.

The Mechanical Race dismantling the Destruction may have other actions in store.

Although the dismantling of the Destruction benefits Chen Ming, at least it’s easier to control, and without the Destruction Core installed on the Spine Peak Cannon Head, it’s not as dangerous as the Destruction.

But that’s only relatively speaking, as the Destruction Core itself is manufactured through the infection of the Crimson Dimension.

It is inherently a dangerous entity.

Chen Ming’s danger perception Spiritual Energy continuously warns him about the dangers of the Destruction and the Destruction Core within it.

Even though Chen Ming can now be considered a consciousness entity, this Spiritual Energy plays a crucial role when the body encounters danger.

So he understands well what the Destruction Core signifies.

But he doesn’t know what the Mechanical Race intends to do with the Destruction Core.

He must conduct an investigation.

However, currently, only a bit of metal that Chen Ming quietly brought here for surveillance is present within the Mechanical Race’s territory, especially in this Core Star System.

And the Star System’s defenses are rather tight.

Whether through brute force or infiltration, efficiency won’t be very high.

However, he has another option—Phase Space.

The idea that sprouted in Chen Ming’s mind utilizing Phase Space has been around for quite some time now.

He just tried it once earlier, but unfortunately, the idea of directly attacking the Destruction Carrier within Phase Space ultimately fell through. Yet the device that sends things from the normal universe into Phase Space still remains in his possession.

He still has a chance to try again.

The Mechanical Race may prepare devices within the Star System to detect if there are intruders in Phase Space, but they absolutely can’t pack all military forces into Phase Space.

Especially with the Mother Ship; Main Level warships have extremely efficient radiation dissipation systems to keep up with Main Level weapons usage.

Entering Phase Space equates to disabling one arm.

Even though the Mechanical Race has modified a Mother Ship to be suitable for Phase Space combat, it’s impossible for every Mother Ship to be altered this way.

Therefore, infiltrating from Phase Space currently seems to be the most suitable method.

If it weren’t for the fact that the device Chen Ming borrowed has efficiency issues, he would want every invasion operation he conducts against the Mechanical Race to be carried out from Phase Space.

Of course, Chen Ming no longer dwells on such implausible matters.

He merely gives a silent command to the Insect Queen.

Waiting for the abrupt appearance of transition waves in the Mechanical Race’s Core Star System.

Moreover, these transition waves appear simultaneously in Phase Space and the normal universe.

Of course, Chen Ming doesn’t have the time to send all the Insect Race warships into Phase Space, naturally leaving many bugs still in the normal universe.

These Insect Races can’t just do nothing, so Chen Ming simply orders the Insect Queen to dispatch them as well.

Immediately, a fleet is assembled within the Mechanical Race’s Core Star System.

And this time, Chen Ming’s Insect Race fleet size is not yet large enough to completely block the effects of transition in adjacent areas, so the Mother Ships that were originally in other Star Systems immediately transition back into the Core Star System.

Joining the battle.

The number of Insect Race fleets Chen Ming left in the normal universe is around seven hundred thousand, facing the fleet and orbital defense facilities within the most critical Star System of the Mechanical Race, along with a full nine Mother Ships, which is entirely insufficient.
