Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

An unknown force suddenly acted on all the plasma balls, deflecting their trajectories, and not a single shot hit successfully.

That was the power of the Singularity in operation.

Long-range weapons were completely ineffective.

To destroy the Star Gate, you must get close enough.

However, the Mechanical Race fleets were tightly arranged near the Star Gate.

Although they don’t know that Chen Ming can send the Dusk core over for control, they know that letting the Insect Race touch the Star Gate spells doom; a conclusion of control or destruction will certainly occur.

The Insect Race is endless, even the Destruction cannot do anything. Without support from the Star Gate, it’s equivalent to completely abandoning this Star Zone.

They must block here.

Relying on the Mother Ship and upcoming reinforcements, they aim to annihilate the Insect Race fleet here.

The firepower of the four Mother Ships is extremely terrifying.

They are distributed at different points around the Star Gate, protecting the Star Gate behind them.

Yet the Insect Race is even more terrifying.

In space, the Insect Race fleet can launch attacks on the Star Gate from any angle. The twelve Spine Peak Cannons of the Mechanical Race can’t hold against a 360-degree circular attack, let alone a spherical assault.

Previously, when the Black Mist Insect Race attacked the Mechanical Race, the Mechanical Race could escape, could engage in guerrilla warfare within the Star System, but now the Mechanical Race must stand firmly in front of the Star Gate.

It is simply using their greatest disadvantage to fight against the Insect Race’s greatest advantage.

Even possessing two Psychic Spine Peak Cannons makes no difference.

One of these Psychic Spine Peak Cannons is known to Chen Ming as the Soul Slayer.

It is completely ineffective when facing the hive mind of the Insect Race clusters.

One could say the Soul Slayer is naturally countered by the hive mentality of the Insect Race, or conversely, the Insect Race is naturally countered by this weapon.

Mutual restraint, the victor depends solely on whose strength is greater.

If the Soul Slayer’s strength is greater, then the entire Insect Race will be directly killed by the Soul Slayer.

But if the Insect Race’s consciousness strength is greater, then the Soul Slayer will obviously be ineffective, just like now.

While the other Psychic Spine Peak Cannon can tear apart the structure of the Insect Race Cruiser out of thin air, the visual effects are terrifying.

But the actual effect is just slightly stronger than a normal Spine Peak Cannon.

It simply doesn’t have the suppressive power of the Destruction.

The outcome is obvious.

The acid cannons of the Insect Race almost form a wall of acid sealing all Mechanical Race inward.

The biological fighters of the Insect Race can make all battleships that can’t deploy full-angle shields completely perish.

The war inside the Star Gate Star System can no longer be called a battlefield.

It’s more like a combination of a meat grinder and pulverizer.

Grinding the flesh of the Insect Race, smashing the structure of the Mechanical Race.

The Mechanical Race is already putting all their efforts to block the Insect Race fleet.

Yet the Insect Race is still gradually shattering the Mechanical Race fleet.

The tens of thousands of Mechanical Race Cruisers simply cannot sustain long enough in the conflict with the Insect Race to allow the Mother Ship to reduce the Insect Race fleet’s numbers.

The weaving of the Mechanical Race fleet was quickly shattered by the seemingly endless Insect Race, the four Mother Ships could only barely maintain their shields to keep the Insect Race out.

They have the ability to protect themselves and the ability to eliminate the Insect Race, but they no longer have the ability to protect the Star Gate.

After the Insect Race tore apart the defense line composed of Mechanical Race Cruisers.

The four Mother Ships suddenly halted in place, all weapons ceased firing, all running systems instantly stagnated.

The Mother Ship didn’t just stop; it was... static.

All acid cannons shot towards the Mother Ship, all biological fighters, biological missiles charging at the Mother Ship shield, abruptly halted in place after getting close.

Even the Insect Race warships nearing the Mother Ship shield also fell into stasis, like the Mother Ship.

Yet Chen Ming did not break the link with those locked Insect Race units.

The consciousness of those Insect Race units still maintained activity.

Their sensation seemed to be just that the space around the Mother Ship was locked, preventing them from maneuvering.

If it was merely this, it wouldn’t be too concerning.

But at the same time, the mirror surface of the nearly activated Star Gate suddenly flickered for a moment.

A twisted force swept across the surrounding space from the Star Gate’s base as the origin.

This is a force that distorts space.

While twisting the space, it also shredded the Insect Race around the surrounding space.

Only the few Mechanical and Insect Race inside the stasis field of the Mother Ship were spared.

All other Insect Race fleets daring to approach were twisted into fragments by this irresistibly powerful force.

And the range of this force’s impact is rapidly increasing.

Only the Insect Race fleet near the outer edges, unable to directly attack the Star Gate due to trajectory issues, were spared from the Star Gate’s space-distorting assault triggered by the Singularity.

Just a single counterattack from the Star Gate cut the Insect Race fleet’s numbers by half.

Out of the initial four million Insect Race fleet, only over a hundred thousand remain.

This one attack almost completely cleared the surroundings of the Star Gate.

Even those relying on the indiscriminate stasis field released by the Mother Ship to survive, now struggle to persist against the Mother Ship and the remaining Mechanical Race warships.

Meanwhile, the Insect Race fleet on Chen Ming’s outskirts hasn’t yet filled the past gaps.
