Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The two Mechanical Race Mother Ships headed to the Empire-occupied Star System within the Mechanical Race territory, named Flowing Steel by the Empire.

Flowing Steel isn’t considered a crucial Star System, just holding two standard Industrial Colonies of the Mechanical Race.

A week ago, the Empire had destroyed the internal defense forces of the Star System, leaving behind a fleet battalion of around 150 ships stationed here.

Collaborating with the Empire’s army to control and manage the Mechanical Race’s Industrial Colonies.

There are many such Star Systems, and the number of more valuable Star Systems occupied by the Empire is significant.

But the Mechanical Race chose to warp here, making it hard for Chen Ming not to suspect if the Mechanical Race is testing something.

However, there’s no time to ponder this now.

The two Mother Ships’ impact on the fleet here is undeniably devastating; he must act immediately.

Currently, inside the Flowing Steel Star System’s battalion fleet flagship.

Commander and captain Cheng Xinghai was somewhat anxiously focused on the console before her in the command room.

Obviously, she had detected the sudden, blatant warp waves within the Star System and noticed the massive scale of the waves.

Regardless of what’s behind waves of this scale, it’s unquestionably something they can’t resist now.

So after ordering the fleet to distance from the source of the warp waves, she reported the existence of the warp waves to her superiors.

At this moment, she felt her wrist suddenly become somewhat heavy.

Upon looking down, some metallic liquid was flowing out from the wrist guard Chen Ming gifted her, dripping downward.

And this metallic liquid dropping onto the spaceship floor rapidly formed a Power Armor Robot.

The robot’s emergence immediately captured everyone’s attention in the command room.

Several people warily picked up their weapons, but promptly lowered them under Cheng Xinghai’s orders.

Chen Ming’s voice quickly emitted from the robot that hadn’t completely formed: ”Retreat, two Mechanical Race Mother Ships are coming.”

”Understood.”

No questions, no doubts.

Having roughly gauged the military strength scale of the Mechanical Race’s invasion, Cheng Xinghai immediately issued the retreat command, directing the fleet she led to head as swiftly as possible to the Star System’s edge for a Superspace retreat.

Even if the superior’s orders weren’t yet delivered, even if Chen Ming hadn’t suddenly appeared to remind her, she had to make a decision at this point.

And as long as they enter Superspace, using the Superspace Navigation Teleportation Engine that Chen Ming developed currently being installed on the Legion’s warships, they can rapidly leave the Star System.

”Commander...”

Someone was about to say something, but Cheng Xinghai immediately declared unequivocally: ”Follow orders.”

”Yes.”

She then turned to Chen Ming and said: ”I’ve already informed the superiors about the significant scale of the warp, likely involving a Main Ship, and they said reinforcements are on the way.”

There was a vast difference between the Cheng Xinghai on the battlefield and the Cheng Xinghai that Chen Ming knew in school; in communication, she was almost devoid of any emotional color, appearing exceedingly cold.

However, Chen Ming didn’t perceive any issue.

Because after Cheng Xinghai completed training, their exchanges barely ceased; he consistently guided Cheng Xinghai in developing her Spiritual Energy.

This ability to block all personal emotions was a way Cheng Xinghai researched to apply a capability when she strengthened her brain impact.

Forcing suppression of certain emotions, to make decisive decisions and judgments unimpeded by any emotions, all governed by logic.

In ordinary life, such Spiritual Energy seems insignificant and carries more adverse effects.

But on the battlefield, this ability becomes invaluable.

No need to consider excessive situations, only needing to contemplate the reason for Chen Ming’s sudden appearance here and the situation Cheng Xinghai witnessed herself, to quickly analyze the most rational course of action.

Which is to follow Chen Ming’s retreat instructions, without considering continued stationing to direct the subsequent reinforcement fleet to the target.

Chen Ming responded to Cheng Xinghai’s remarks: ”Whether reinforcements come or not isn’t very significant; not coming might actually be better.”

”Why do you say that?”

Cheng Xinghai had just posed the question when the flagship’s sensors once again scanned the warp waves.

This time, the scale of the warp waves was even larger than those of the two Mother Ships, already encompassing the entire Star System.

”That’s the reason.”

The two Mechanical Race Mother Ships warped into the Star System the moment Chen Ming’s words fell.

Immediately targeting the only fleet still navigating space within the Star System, Cheng Xinghai’s fleet.

The Spine Peak Cannon’s light suddenly illuminated.

The metallic liquid controlled by Chen Ming hadn’t halted its spread since earlier, extending directly from Cheng Xinghai’s flagship, swiftly enveloping Cheng Xinghai’s entire fleet under his control.

The forces of the Crimson Dimension activated soon after, transporting the entire fleet to the Star System’s edge.

The Mother Ships’ attacks landed on empty space.

In those few seconds, the heart rates of everyone in the command room at least doubled.

And the view before them, which suddenly twisted and rapidly returned to normal, further accelerated their heart rates until it reached an extreme and nearly stopped.

But when they noticed they weren’t dead and seemed to have been moved by an unknown force to another location, then...
