Chapter 810: Chapter 239: Progress of the Synchronous Accelerator Core (4)

Chen Ming felt somewhat satisfied in his heart and said, ”The research report on the Synchronous Accelerator Core should be out in about two days. This time it shouldn’t be rated as first-class like last time, right?”

”Your military merit hasn’t been fully processed yet, and a first-class merit for a Psychic isn’t the same as a first-class for ordinary people, okay? I mentioned before that I wasn’t very familiar with it. It was only after I specifically asked that I found out there was this distinction.”

”This time it should be the same, categorized under first-class merit for Psychics.”

”All I can say is that the research on the Synchronous Accelerator Core is still not enough. Only advancements like Antimatter Technology and your previous Superspace Jumping count as special-class.”

Hearing this, Chen Ming immediately said, ”So, can you add...”

”Ahem, ahem...”

Bai Quan cleared his throat twice and changed the topic, saying, ”Your military merit will still take about half a month. Approving military merit isn’t fast, at least a month. I also pulled some strings to find out the final rating for you.”

Chen Ming didn’t linger on the technology of the Superspace Jump Device and followed up Bai Quan’s words by asking, ”So what rewards do Psychics get?”

”Anyway, it’s just those things like Spiritual Weapons, Spiritual Ability Equipment, Spiritual Drugs, various auxiliary items, Spiritual Plants, Spiritual Animals, and so on. Basically, anything related to Spiritual Energy, you can exchange for them with military merit.”

”Exchange, right? I remember you mentioned it before. So, what exactly is the exchange method?”

”Contribution Points. You can check it yourself. There’s that Spiritual Ability Population Census Network we registered you with, and there’s a subnet belonging to the Imperial Army. You can log in with your identity now.”

”How come I didn’t know about this before?”

”Because I forgot to tell you last time.”

”...”

Chen Ming, speechless, picked up his terminal and opened the Spiritual Ability Population Census Network, and indeed found a new webpage entry in the corner.

Upon clicking it open, Chen Ming instinctively said, ”What a crude webpage.”

With a resigned expression, Bai Quan said, ”Government system websites are all like this. Don’t focus on how ugly they are; just see if they work.”

”The contribution points for Psychic military merit are divided based on merit level, very straightforward and blunt: third-class 500, second-class 2000, first-class 5000, special-class 10000.”

As Chen Ming’s gaze moved across the webpage, he suddenly said, ”I now have contribution points, 723? Where did they come from?”

”Previously, you hosted a Mechanical Race meeting, then later demonstrated control of the Mechanical Race, and protected the safety of people present when issues arose during this operation. These should be the reasons for the added points.”

”You can’t only gain contribution points by achieving merit, right? Some matters can earn points too, but I truly don’t know the specifics. Anyway, you’ve been credited, and that’s what matters.”

”Such a haphazard military merit system.”

Bai Quan agreed with Chen Ming, saying, ”The Psychic military merit system is quite haphazard.”

”But the military merit for ordinary people is fixed, already arranged; even if there are objections, they can only serve as reference. They’re mostly based on rules, unlike Psychic military merit where there’s room for choice.”

”By the way, this webpage doesn’t seem too old, probably around one or two years old.”

”So this is just a trial; it might get better in the future.”

”What about before?”

”Before it was similar to now, just more verbal. We couldn’t really shortchange Psychics.”

”Alright.”

Chen Ming responded and focused his attention on the webpage.

Among the items that could be exchanged, there were indeed quite a few that he was interested in.
