Chapter 808: Chapter 239: Progress of the Synchronous Accelerator Core (2)

”Take building a starship, for example. The Armor, Engine, hull, Weapons and so on all have to be manufactured separately by different engineering lines, then shipped to the assembly plant in the end.”

”Ideally, only one of these factories gets a Synchronous Accelerator Core installed, and preferably one whose processes are scheduled near the end, or that has a relatively long production cycle.”

”On the one hand it lowers the chance of anything going wrong, on the other it boosts work efficiency a lot.”

All kinds of thoughts about the Synchronous Accelerator Core flashed through Bai Quan’s mind in an instant.

”Can’t the Synchronous Accelerator Core force the Nanorobots to detach from whatever they’ve already produced?”

”It really can’t. The Nanorobots that remain in the product are all damaged Nanorobots. If it were me, that’d be different—I can Repair Nanorobots. But for other people...”

Chen Ming spread his hands.

”Completely clearing out all those damaged Nanorobots is actually pretty difficult. Anyway, right now I just don’t have the means to clean them out perfectly.”

”Still, having this kind of limitation isn’t too bad.”

”If it were up to me, I’d definitely toss the Synchronous Accelerator Core into whatever production facilities are tied to Antimatter Technology—ideally straight into an Antimatter fuel production plant.”

”Because an Antimatter fuel plant is just a single production line, and what it produces is consumables. There’s no repeated use that would cause Nanorobot cross‑interference, so it should be the best fit.”

Bai Quan nodded in agreement with Chen Ming’s suggestion, then asked, ”Does it have any special effects for a Psychic like the Purgatory Core does?”

”It does. It’s similar to the Purgatory Core: it has to be used by a Psychic who understands the relevant knowledge to really shine.”

”Ordinary people can basically only be responsible for installing the Synchronous Accelerator Core and then let the core handle the rest on its own.”

Listening to this, Bai Quan suddenly felt a bit of a headache. ”Where are we supposed to find that kind of Psychic?”

”That’s not my problem. The Empire is huge—who knows where one might be hiding? Didn’t you track down a Psychic who knew a bit of thermodynamics before?”

Bai Quan really had nothing to say to that. After all, Chen Ming had already done everything he could; if Bai Quan couldn’t handle what was left, that would be a joke.

Seeing this, Chen Ming went on to explain how the Synchronous Accelerator Core worked in the hands of a Psychic: ”When a Psychic personally uses this core, they can use Spiritual Energy to accelerate the Nanorobot Manufacturing process and mass‑produce Nanorobots with far higher efficiency.”

”They can also use the core to actively direct the Nanorobots they’ve produced into industrial production, instead of waiting for the core to auto‑adapt them.”

As Bai Quan listened, a trace of disappointment flickered in his eyes.

Not disappointment in Chen Ming, but in the Synchronous Accelerator Core itself.

Chen Ming caught that hint of disappointment and explained, ”It does look weaker than the Purgatory Core, yeah—but the Purgatory Core’s Entropy Control Spiritual Energy effect is honestly kind of broken.”

”But if you change your perspective and don’t compare it to the Purgatory Core, then a core that can supply an endless stream of Nanorobots as long as you have materials is actually pretty solid overall.”

”Besides, with the Empire’s current tech level, Nanorobots should already be under research, right? At worst, they just haven’t gotten many results yet.”

”Even if you only use this core to speed up Nanorobot research, it’s still worth it.”

”And anyway, Nanorobots aren’t just good for those two uses; there are lots of other applications too.”

”This thing is a self‑adapting Synchronous Accelerator Core. If it can adapt to all kinds of bizarre factories, then it can adapt to all sorts of weird functions as well.”

”As long as you can imagine a function, the Nanorobots can do it.”

Chen Ming’s few sentences rekindled Bai Quan’s curiosity. He asked, ”Anything you can imagine, huh?”

”Yeah. For example, this.”

As he spoke, Chen Ming opened the drawer of the table beside him and pulled out the Synchronous Accelerator Core he’d casually stuffed in there after finishing his research last night.

”You just leave this thing lying around like that?”

As Bai Quan was complaining, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy Fluctuation activated the Synchronous Accelerator Core under his control.

Metallic liquid appeared out of thin air and wrapped around the core’s uneven surface, then was continuously drawn into its interior by the core.

The Synchronous Accelerator Core used this metallic liquid—which contained every material it needed to manufacture Nanorobots—to produce countless Nanorobots that wrapped completely around Chen Ming’s arm.

The Nanorobot swarm also looked somewhat like metallic liquid, but compared to the purely smooth sheen of the liquid from before, it appeared a bit rougher.

The Nanorobots coiling around Chen Ming’s arm quickly formed a bracer made purely of Nanorobots, fitting perfectly to his arm with a vaguely bionic look.

Chen Ming patted his arm, producing a solid, muffled thump instead of a crisp metallic ring.

”Technically this should be called Nanorobot Power Armor, but I prefer to call it a Nanofiber Suit.”

The Nanorobots forming the Nanofiber Suit on his arm shifted freely under his control into all sorts of different configurations—tools, Weapons, Armor. No matter how complex or intricate the structure, there was nothing these Nanorobots couldn’t replicate.

The number of Nanorobots produced by the Synchronous Accelerator Core kept growing, gradually wrapping Chen Ming’s entire body completely.
