Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 486: Chapter 165: Implosion

After the Steel Psychic made his decision.

The Spiritual Energy Fluctuations on the Metal Giant began to gather towards its hands.

A portion of the metal on its body also flowed out, gradually condensing in the hands of the Steel Giant.

Forming a Steel Spear in the physical sense.

This spear was then forcefully thrown by the Steel Giant, which looked as powerful as an Ancient Greek sculpture, towards Chen Ming’s direction.

With the enhancement of strength and Spiritual Energy, the spear exploded almost instantly with the highest speed comparable to a Gauss Cannon, a large-scale weapon known for its speed and mass.

Although such a steel spear under normal circumstances would pose no threat to Chen Ming’s cruiser.

Chen Ming felt a lethal danger from it.

So he unhesitatingly performed a short-distance teleportation in another direction, once again putting distance between himself and the source of the danger.

Almost in the next moment, the steel spear struck the location where Chen Ming’s two cruisers had just been and suddenly halted without warning.

The Steel Giant behind, almost imperceptibly to the naked eye, liquefied at high speed and suddenly began moving, leaving a metallic-colored afterimage in space.

Instantly appearing at the location of the spear.

This steel spear is a part of the Steel Giant, and the Steel Psychic, relying on the effect of Spiritual Energy and perhaps the attraction between his own metals, achieved this teleportation-like effect.

If Chen Ming had remained in the previous position, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

However, Chen Ming was not overly worried about this capability.

After all, the real Teleportation Engine’s effect is far stronger than the Steel Psychic’s Spiritual Energy, which seems like teleportation but is actually extremely high-speed movement.

Unless he can predict Chen Ming’s next teleportation position, otherwise this steel spear almost has no possibility of closing in.

But Chen Ming is not foolish; he can decide the teleportation position by watching the direction the spear is thrown.

Even if the Steel Psychic can continue to control it with Spiritual Energy after throwing the spear, it cannot possess the rapid speed it had when thrown by the Steel Giant.

Otherwise, the Steel Psychic would have directly used Spiritual Energy to control it from the start, without needing to rely on the Steel Giant’s body to perform the ”throw” action.

Moreover, Chen Ming can also choose to evade in the opposite direction of the spear being thrown.

The physical distance is right there; no matter how fast the spear is, it must traverse this distance honestly.

And for Chen Ming now.

He can actually ignore the Steel Psychic and simply leave.

Just recently, Bai Quan personally confirmed to him that the Fourteenth Legion’s fleet has been fully prepared in an extremely short time, ready to teleport over and handle the fleet in the Zuo Jing Star System and this Psychic.

Furthermore, the Steel Psychic has already lost the ship he was on, revealing his true form. His body, although capable of high-speed movement, definitely does not have teleportation capabilities.

If Chen Ming simply runs, who can stop him? Who can catch up to him?

And he doesn’t need to worry about these matters being unhandled after he leaves.

He has no need to engage in a no-holds-barred confrontation with a Psychic who could arm-wrestle with his boss.

Moreover, this Psychic’s Spiritual Energy indeed has a suppressing effect on his own Spiritual Energy.

Metal Control Spiritual Energy has a significantly troublesome influence on the ships he controls.

If, during a tug-of-war with him, he gets a chance to get close, there’s a possibility that Chen Ming could be directly overturned.

However, after thinking it over, Chen Ming did not teleport out of the Star System and also temporarily asked Bai Quan not to let the Fourteenth Legion come over.

After all, the Steel Psychic has already lost his ship, and he cannot even escape. The final outcome is basically decided; he’s just putting up a last struggle now.

Chen Ming doesn’t need to be afraid at all.

And indeed, this is a rare opportunity, a battlefield and stage that belongs to him alone.

Chen Ming now desperately needs a chance to showcase his strength.

He had enough of the endless assassinations and targeting by his enemies.

He needs to make those who have ill intentions toward him or his friends understand the consequences of opposing him.

Taking down a Psychic on the same level as his boss doesn’t mean Chen Ming is equal to his boss in terms of Spiritual Energy.

But it at least shows that Chen Ming’s combat capability is no longer something that can be easily suppressed by sending a few cruisers.

So those people have to consider whether their methods can threaten Chen Ming and withstand the retaliation that will follow.

So, when the Steel Giant threw the Steel Spear a second time with greater power and speed.

Chen Ming merely activated the Teleportation Engine, again distancing himself from the Steel Giant.

This time Chen Ming deliberately set the teleportation endpoint even further away.

And just as he thought, the Steel Spear veered off in the instant it hit the spot where he had just paused.

At a relatively slower speed, it charged towards the position Chen Ming had teleported to.

But clearly, at this distance and speed, the spear couldn’t possibly reach Chen Ming before he teleported again.

The Steel Giant thus didn’t continue to control the spear, but instead appeared again at the spear’s location, intently watching the tail of Chen Ming’s two cruisers, at the Teleportation Engine position.
