Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 481: After modification: Chapter 163 Attack_6

As Chen Ming deployed the second robot equipped with a core.

The external attacks on the dockyard also gradually subsided.

The dockyard was basically riddled with holes, and most people had already left.

Those who hadn’t boarded a ship or fled to the Space Station were either killed by external attacks, or crushed by the randomly flying unmanned ships and various debris, or suffocated due to atmospheric leakage caused by external damage.

From a practical standpoint, it was no different from having left.

However, even now, there were still a few people wearing full protective suits hiding in hidden corners within the dockyard.

Although they couldn’t escape Chen Ming’s sight, they could avoid the weapon firing angles of Supreme Point and Brilliant, which were usable in the relatively cramped space of the dockyard compared to a Cruiser.

Large weapons couldn’t be used inside the dockyard at all.

Even though Chen Ming tried to send robots to deal with them, whenever one was eliminated, several more would pop out from some unknown corner of the dockyard.

Although relying on robots to slowly clean up at a very low efficiency.

During this process, he could only let these people keep watch.

However, Chen Ming suddenly discovered something.

While the attacks outside the dockyard had stopped, a Destroyer was quickly approaching from outside.

It was clear that the authority of the bureau had just been hacked, causing the external defensive measures to not activate at all, most likely not even the Shields were opened in time, hence giving these ships a chance to approach.

And the ship spotted by Chen Ming at this moment was indeed Zuo Jing’s Suicide Ship.

Even if the bureau, with Chen Ming’s help, regained control, it wouldn’t have time to react.

Chen Ming knew he couldn’t stay at the dockyard any longer.

If he didn’t leave now, the explosion of the dockyard would also affect his two Cruisers.

Chen Ming immediately activated the ships he had parked inside the maintenance factory, following behind Supreme Point.

Then, Chen Ming adjusted the orientation of Supreme Point, facing directly towards the dockyard’s exit, and activated a Speed Particle Spear in the front.

The surging Particle Torrent instantly destroyed Zuo Jing’s Suicide Ship outside.

It also cut a molten iron scar across the dockyard exit.

Amidst the blast impact of the Suicide Ship’s explosion, the dockyard exit was twisted into a bizarre shape in an instant.

Fortunately, the dockyard wasn’t completely damaged, and Chen Ming’s two Cruisers could still leave smoothly.

But this also meant that Chen Ming was indeed being forced to move according to the plans of the Battle Zone and Zuo Jing’s people.

When Chen Ming’s ships flew out of the dockyard, Supreme Point’s sensors were fully operational.

Soon, Chen Ming saw a fleet parked outside, an unknown fleet.

But it was obvious that this was the fleet funded by the Battle Zone and Zuo Jing.

At a glance, Chen Ming saw four Cruisers in total, with more than a dozen large weapons already aimed at Supreme Point and Brilliant.

Moreover, Chen Ming was already within their firing range, and this fleet could open fire at any time.

It was clear that all the previous arrangements were to force Chen Ming out to face this fleet head-on.

And Chen Ming understood what he should do.

As long as he teleports away, this fleet will surely follow.

At least the exterior of the Space Station was secured, and only the interior was left to the bureau to handle.

But as Chen Ming emerged, the fleet didn’t continue attacking Chen Ming like it did with the dockyard earlier.

Instead, it stayed in place, doing nothing except sending some harassment signals that were easily blocked by Chen Ming.

No, actually, they did something else.

Chen Ming looked at the communication request on Supreme Point ahead, clearly sent by the fleet he faced.

Yet, Chen Ming was still utterly puzzled.

Did Zuo Jing and the Battle Zone not investigate his Spiritual Energy before acting?

He had the ability to teleport multiple times in a short period.

But they hadn’t prepared anything to interfere with the Teleportation Engine, thinking he had nowhere to escape?

Initially, Dusk hadn’t made prior preparations, failing to block Chen Ming was understandable.

But the Battle Zone and Zuo Jing obviously had planned arrangements now.

Yet they didn’t prepare in this regard, it left him baffled.

Wait, it seemed something was amiss.

Chen Ming suddenly realized he hadn’t truly demonstrated the ability to quickly cool the Teleportation Engine through maintenance for the next teleport.

Now he felt relieved.

He wasn’t planning just to leave like this.

Because now was a rare opportunity, a chance for real combat.

To be safe, Chen Ming still directly contacted Bai Quan, sending over his situation here.

Bai Quan, who had already set off for another Star Realm to attend his own promotion ceremony, had some free time relatively speaking.

He quickly replied: ”What situation?”

”Battle Zone, Zuo Jing.”

”Got it.”

Seeing Bai Quan quickly understood his meaning, Chen Ming continued with his plan: ”I originally intended to teleport away immediately, but it seems someone from Zuo Jing or the Battle Zone wants to talk to me, so I didn’t act right away.”

”I feel this is a great opportunity for me to personally experience Cruiser-level combat.”

”Then I contacted you, hoping you could guide me for a moment.”

Bai Quan

”Although I’m unsure where your confidence in winning comes from.”

”I’ve never seen any serious student engage in Cruiser-level combat before learning to command.”

”But sure, I need your situation and detailed data from the sensors here.”

”Also, remember to guard against electronic warfare.”

Chen Ming immediately transmitted the sensor data from Supreme Point to the terminal and sent it over using Spiritual Energy, then asked: ”What electronic warfare, I’ve heard of the concept but don’t quite understand.”

Bai Quan patiently explained to Chen Ming: ”Electronic warfare can be considered an invisible battlefield.”

”Engaged parties use specialized electronic equipment or electronic warfare ships to interfere with each other’s fleet weapons and Shield System, as well as internal communication systems.”

”Generally speaking, it’s only necessary at Cruiser level, because at Cruiser level, even a slight interference affects the output efficiency of large weapons, with smaller ships it’s less noticeable.”

”Moreover, normally in Cruiser-level and above battles the battle lines are drawn very long, making electronic interference crucial.”

”Has there been no invasion against you?”

Here, Chen Ming suddenly recalled those few intrusions blocked by his Spiritual Energy earlier.

”It seems there were, but... my ship, I’m in charge.”

Bai Quan couldn’t help but say at this point: ”That’s downright perverse, your Spiritual Energy can render such crucial factors in advanced ship battles ineffective.”

”If you learn electronic warfare techniques, the opponent would be taking a one-sided beating from you.”

”Alright, I’ve got no issues on my end, you lead, I’ll help you spot problems.”

”Honestly, I can’t teach much, command skills without basics mainly rely on intuition, or perhaps talent.”

”Only after you’ve learned the basics could I detail things to you, for now, this should suffice.”

”I’ve notified the people at my base, they’ll organize a support fleet soon.”

”Should the need arise, I’ll have them teleport over.”

Bai Quan’s words reminded Chen Ming of earlier when Dusk was about to attack the Space Station, yet the Star Zone Military took three days to approve matters.

Thus he asked: ”No approvals needed?”

”I approve myself?”

”Nothing more.”

After Chen Ming finished speaking with Bai Quan, Zuo Jing’s fleet sent a second communication request.

They seemed eager to converse with Chen Ming, yet he completely declined to converse with madmen.

He preferred to focus on their fleet’s situation.

This Zuo Jing’s fleet wasn’t weak, or rather very strong.

And in terms of numbers, it was evidently proportionate.

Four Cruisers, over fifty Destroyers, and more than two hundred Guards.

Even disregarding smaller ships, just those four Cruisers didn’t appear beatable by Chen Ming’s two Cruisers.

No wonder Bai Quan doubted what Chen Ming was thinking.

Compared to such a fleet.

Chen Ming’s side was far less imposing.

Two Cruisers, Brilliant and Supreme Point.

One Destroyer, Refraction.

Four Guards, Warrior modified, Torrential Rain, and two Centurions.

The combat strength could be said to be quite disparate.

And at this point, due to the prolonged unaccepted second communication, it automatically disconnected.

Zuo Jing’s fleet no longer waited; the four Cruisers’ more than a dozen large weapons instantly fired, nearly completely covering the two Cruisers.
