Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 474: Chapter 162: The Final Preparations Before Departure_3

A Brilliant and a Supreme Point completely filled the two cruiser docks in the whole shipyard.

Chen Ming had to wait until he left the Space Station and then take Refraction on the journey together.

”That’s fine.”

A Dusk cruiser didn’t need much maintenance, it just occupied a dock space, which was nothing for the Fourteenth Legion.

Bai Quan agreed to let Chen Ming stay for a few more days and then asked, ”So, do you have any plans after this? If you’re worried about issues over there in the Battle Zone, you can come to me at any time. You’re always welcome here.”

”It’s not necessary for now.”

Bai Quan’s invitation was casually declined by Chen Ming: ”If everything goes smoothly, there probably won’t be a safer place.”

”Oh? What are you planning? If you can’t say, then don’t.”

”Then I won’t say. You’ll definitely know in the future.”

In a couple of days, there’s a high probability that Chen Ming would disappear within the borders of the Empire. Bai Quan would surely figure out where he’s gone with a little thought.

”Alright, that’s about it. I’ve basically told you everything I wanted to discuss. Wishing you become an Admiral soon.”

”That would be really difficult.”

Bai Quan chuckled and hung up the phone.

Meanwhile, Chen Ming, on the Supreme Point, stretched lazily and took a deep breath.

He had basically resolved all the issues that needed others’ help, and the historical problems that persisted until now were also resolved.

Now, it was time for him to handle the remaining matters himself.

The most important thing first was what Chen Ming had to do after leaving the Space Station, finding a star system to establish a colony, and the tasks involved in building the colony.

Although the colony’s development requires constant oversight, it doesn’t mean watching nonstop with the naked eye.

Chen Ming’s job was just to guide the colony in the direction he believed was better.

In fact, by then, the entire colony would certainly be managed by Brilliant and its kind.

Therefore, Chen Ming should have a lot of free time.

So Chen Ming definitely needed to do something, like develop himself a bit more.

Learn more technologies, research more topics.

Previously, Chen Ming took a lot of research equipment from the research institute on Dusk, which he had installed on the Supreme Point, but that was surely not enough.

What Dusk had previously asked Chen Ming to research were topics they themselves didn’t have satisfactory progress in, and their research equipment was specialized.

Chen Ming didn’t want to follow Dusk’s line of thought; he wanted to research what he wanted.

He just hadn’t decided specifically what yet.

The research equipment he intended to purchase should better align with his own research directions.

Moreover, during the research, Chen Ming also had to consider the Alpha Dusk he brought out from the gigantic dock.

Because previously, Chen Ming couldn’t help but examine the panels of several Alpha Dusk cores he had.

And that Alpha Level Dusk obtained from the gigantic dock was very special.

[Alpha Dusk AI Core (2UAA1-MAZAX)]

[Manufacturer: Dusk BP-55 Colony Far North Industrial Production Center]

[Alpha Level Core Enhancement: Research Hub]

[Self-consciousness: Present]

[Computational Power: Star System Level]

[Executable Actions: None]

Upon seeing the name of the core enhancement, Chen Ming knew this Alpha Dusk wasn’t a combat type, but more inclined towards logistical research type.

The effect was also very straightforward, enhancing any type of research computational power by 15%.

This number sounds minor, but upon careful reflection.

All types of research receive a 15% boost in research speed; this effect isn’t necessarily inferior to Brilliant’s [Star System Planning].

And there were a total of five core enhancements that Chen Ming could subsequently add.

[Ship Specialization]

[Industrial Specialization]

[Weapon Specialization]

[Advanced Technology]

[Star River Main Force]

The first three were design enhancement options.

They could further grant a 30% computational power boost in different specialized fields, further increasing research speed.

This was also an extremely formidable enhancement.

Then the effect of [Advanced Technology] slightly differed from research types.

It enhanced computational power in industrial areas, improving the final quality of industrial products, including spacecraft.

And [Star River Main Force], it could enhance computational power when engaging in tasks related to Main Ships, which also formed its basis as a New Star Level designer.

The Alpha Dusk itself was left in the gigantic dock during the New Star Level startup period.

Handling spacecraft design and subsequent manufacturing didn’t seem to pose any issues.

But its existence required Chen Ming to carefully consider.

The procurement of research equipment also had to take into account its presence.

Chen Ming’s current intention was to let it continue the space ship technology research on Dusk, while he himself conducted research on human spacecraft technology.

Therefore, it required a substantial amount of research equipment.

Originally, Chen Ming thought he didn’t need to trouble others for the research equipment he used; he could buy them himself.

But considering this Alpha Level Dusk, the equipment Chen Ming intended for personal use wasn’t sufficient, and it seemed he needed to visit Old Wu once more.

Chen Ming started drafting a list on the terminal.

Since he had to procure in large quantities, there was no need for him to dwell on selection anymore.

He decided to buy every piece of research equipment he could think of and might use in the future.

The overall amount was somewhat more, at least more than he initially planned.
