Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 479: Chapter 163 Attack_4

At this moment, the maintenance facility was empty; the staff must have evacuated quickly through the employee passage.

Chen Ming didn’t need to worry about the safety of those he knew, and he rushed all the way to the Supreme Point.

At least the cruiser under his full control wasn’t something Zuo Jing could easily breach.

However, Chen Ming didn’t leave immediately.

Instead, he hacked into the Administration’s network through a backdoor he had left earlier, starting to confirm information from there.

Currently, small-scale explosions were occurring throughout various parts of the Space Station, and although the specific damage wasn’t significant, several important locations had been attacked.

Especially the power generation section, which was extremely important to the Space Station.

If operations there were halted, countless people living on the Space Station might die as a result.

The only piece of good news was from the boss of Arm 2 and the Space Station Administration Building itself, which hadn’t encountered any problems.

But the overall situation of the Space Station was still far from optimistic.

Despite better protective measures and an upgraded network security system following the last incident.

These were things clearly recorded in the Space Station’s database.

Yet it was still infiltrated.

Flashes of the two military-grade electromagnetic cannons he had seen outside the dock crossed Chen Ming’s mind; such large equipment couldn’t have been brought in and set up so casually.

Clearly, something was amiss.

Chen Ming continued to rely on the backdoor program to delve into various databases of the Space Station, attempting to find answers.

Back in his office, the director, who was smoking, had a stiff expression on his face.

Just a few minutes ago, the panic and fear that had gripped him with Chen Ming’s arrival had completely dissipated.

But now, receiving negative reports from all over the Space Station.

He realized he was in big trouble.

Unnoticed, the cigarette he held in his mouth dropped to the carpet.

It wasn’t until he smelled a faint burning odor that the stunned director reacted and hastily stamped out the cigarette butt.

His body was trembling slightly, as the damage assessment of the important equipment at various locations was quickly summed up and delivered to him.

He looked at these reports with a sweaty forehead.

This was not the situation he had agreed upon with that person; this shouldn’t be happening now.

What about their credibility? What about the military’s credibility?

Sweat dripped more and more from the director’s forehead.

In the end, only one thought remained in his head.

He had to leave.

The director hurriedly began packing his belongings.

Meanwhile, Chen Ming, who was searching the network of the administration for the truth behind this situation, suddenly sensed a danger emanating from the entire dock, an imminent risk of unknown origin.

However, as long as there was a ship, everything could be managed.

”Activate the shield, start the engine, maintain hovering state.”

While performing these operations on the Supreme Point, Chen Ming also alerted Brilliant.

But then, a very familiar scene unfolded.

The anti-gravity generator at the dock malfunctioned, sending the entire dock into a state of zero gravity.

This meant that the engine power just started by Chen Ming had performance issues in its output.

Chen Ming didn’t have time to adjust, and the unshielded tail of the Supreme Point crashed into the top of the dock.

Just like the New Star back then.

Similarly, the engine of the Supreme Point was damaged,

Chen Ming never expected the method he used against the New Star would be used against him.

But he wasn’t afraid; the maintenance spiritual energy activated, and utilizing materials stored on board, almost instantly restored the damaged armor and internal engine of the Supreme Point to their original state.

After doing this, a thought occurred to Chen Ming.

Even the anti-gravity generator could be sabotaged, there was a mole.

And at this moment, the dock suddenly came under direct external attack.

The spot that was just hit by the Supreme Point was instantly breached by external attacks, revealing the view of the starry sky.

The chaotic gravity and leaking pressure, along with attacks into the dock, caused the numerous ships originally docked to scatter and crash into various parts of the space arm.

The chaos was even more terrifying than when all the ships were trying to squeeze out.

And the explosions inside the Space Station were still going off without interruption.

Chen Ming couldn’t calculate how many people Zuo Jing brought or how much explosive they placed.

This situation wasn’t right; the Space Station’s shield wasn’t adequately protecting the dock. If Chen Ming chose to stay put, he’d be a sitting duck; he might really need to get out.

Chen Ming was hesitating now; he could simply leave using the teleportation engine.

But there were still many people he knew in the Space Station, and even though the boss was there and there probably wouldn’t be a problem, he didn’t want to be a deserter.

So he stayed, he wanted to figure out what Zuo Jing and the Battle Zone were trying to force him into.

Just as Chen Ming was about to take his ship out, the plant manager called again.

”Xiao Ming, is everything okay?”

Chen Ming immediately replied, ”I’m on the ship now, how about you guys?”

”Old Wu and I are both at the administration, Lao Wu is here too, and I’ve evacuated the people from the maintenance facility early, no one died.”

”But the entire Space Station is extremely chaotic right now, and many surveillance devices have all been left with backdoors by someone.”
