Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 449: Chapter 156 Core Bonus_2

”Yes, I always thought you knew that.”

Chen Ming felt a bit awkward.

One could say this is a downside of relying on the panel.

With a panel that makes it easy to view Spiritual Energy, he doesn’t often consider the effects of his Spiritual Energy in daily situations.

He must pay more attention in the future.

When Spiritual Energy increases, he should personally experience its effects or simply review the panel again to avoid missing out like now.

Chen Ming deliberately skipped the topic and said to Brilliant, ”So what do you feel about this Spiritual Energy enhancement?”

”Very good.”

”We Dusk have only ever experienced the negative effects of Spiritual Energy, never the positive enhancements. Your presence has changed all that.”

”It makes me more convinced that your existence is indeed the savior for us Dusk.”

Following Brilliant’s words, Chen Ming had an idea: ”Do you think my Spiritual Energy could attract some Alpha Dusk to join me?”

”With so many of your Dusk around, there must be a few who think the same way as you, right? Or even individuals who wish to further enhance their abilities, they should exist too, right?”

Brilliant thought seriously for a moment and said, ”I think it’s possible, but preferably not now.”

”Your idea is to establish a colony outside the Human Empire, and during its early development, this colony will be extremely vulnerable.”

”Any external interference could cause problems in the colony’s construction, and you can’t guarantee that those who want to join us aren’t bait sent by the higher-ups.”

”Sacrificing some individuals to kill you is very worthwhile for them.”

”Moreover, the initial construction needs for the colony can be met by those you’ve previously brought out.”

”First, at least establish the colony, and only after having a more complete defensive system should you try to accept new members.”

”Hmm, indeed.”

Chen Ming currently has the materials and basic equipment taken from six colonies across two Star Systems of Dusk.

Plus the Alpha Dusk HRYY1-APGU2 given by Brilliant, Radiant, and Bai Quan.

And the one Chen Ming recently controlled, belonging inside the giant dock, controlling a Refraction-class, which is still stationed with the Fourteenth Legion, Alpha Dusk.

Total of four Alpha Dusk.

Countless Beta and Gamma-level Dusk individuals as well.

This is already far beyond the normal level for a colony’s construction.

There’s indeed no need to be greedy; steady development is definitely more suitable than being aggressive.

”Let’s do it this way. You continue to stay at the dock for a few days, and then we’ll set off.”

”Understood.”

Chen Ming ended the discussion with Brilliant.

But just as he casually prepared to close the several pages of panel in front of him,

he suddenly noticed there was a small plus sign next to the [Alpha-Level Core Enhancement] on the panel.

When he selected it, a prompt popped up.

He could consume 100% of his maximum Spiritual Power to make a choice.

As for the content of the choice,

after Chen Ming clicked the confirm button, a new panel he had never seen before popped up.

A total of six choices were presented in front of him.

[Efficient Logistics], [Emergency Maintenance], [Battle Damage Control], [Sealed Process], [Salvage Operations], and [Industrial Planning].

These six options meant that Chen Ming could consume a large amount of Spiritual Power to make them become Brilliant’s Alpha-level enhancement, just like the [Star System Planning] acquired through Brilliant’s advantage logic block.

Their specific effects are basically consistent with their names.

[Efficient Logistics] can improve the computational power of individuals in performing the optimal path algorithm.

If Chen Ming was correct, then by improving computational power in this aspect, it could influence the logistics and transportation efficiency of his entire colony, and even the entire Star System in the future.

And since logistics and transportation conditions and environments are subject to change, this capability is needed for long-term effectiveness.

[Emergency Maintenance] can improve computational power for damage confirmation and maintenance plan scheduling.

If used in the colony, the only use Chen Ming could think of was for quick repairs when various equipment malfunctions occur.

However, Chen Ming felt that its greater effect might still be applied to the fleet.

To quickly manage and repair the damage inflicted on the fleet.

In Chen Ming’s case, it’s quite good, but the problem is Chen Ming’s own capabilities have already sentenced this choice to death.

Then there’s [Battle Damage Control], which increases computational power when controlling damage on ships during battle.

The effect seems similar to [Emergency Maintenance], but the impact range is smaller, almost concentrated on ships, or even a single ship.

Though the effect appears to be stronger than [Emergency Maintenance], allowing the creation of the most reasonable control scheme instantly during battles.

However, Chen Ming’s capability... can only say that it renders [Battle Damage Control] completely meaningless.

Therefore, Chen Ming continued to look at the next option, [Sealed Process].

It can increase computational power during the maintenance scheduling of ships, industrial equipment maintenance, and colony infrastructure maintenance workflow.

The effect probably optimizes the maintenance process of these facilities, reducing the scale of industrial facilities, decreasing losses.
