Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 447: Chapter 155 Change_4

Leaving Chen Ming alone in the hospital room.

It was just as well; he needed to take some time to tally up how many things he had to do at the moment.

However, just as Chen Ming lay down, the manager suddenly contacted him: ”Xiao Ming, I heard you’re back?”

Chen Ming immediately sat up and said to the terminal in his hand, ”Yes, I’m right here at the dock.”

”On that Dusk’s ship? Or the one Old Wu brought back?”

”The boss’s ship, but it’s mine now.”

”Congratulations, in just a few months, you’ve gone from piloting a mining ship to commanding a Cruiser.”

”Just luck.”

”Nonsense.”

The manager had known Chen Ming long enough to understand that acquiring a Cruiser was not mere luck, but skill.

Yet Chen Ming insisted with a serious look, ”Why does nobody believe honesty?”

”Alright, enough nonsense. I have something serious to discuss. Come by when you have time; I have something for you.”

”What is it?”

”It’s a bit complicated; you’ll know when you get here.”

”Okay.”

Since the manager put it that way, Chen Ming decided not to lie down anymore.

He removed the needle from his hand using the nearby medical device and changed out of his hospital gown.

Preparing to disembark.

While leaving, Chen Ming habitually donned a Protective Suit.

But after thinking about it, he decided to transform the Protective Suit into a civilian model used for moving cargo as Power Armor.

To prevent anyone familiar with his habits from recognizing him by the Protective Suit.

He then used the exclusive channel of the Cruiser-class dock to enter the Space Station and headed to the Space Station Administration Building.

Besides meeting with the manager to confirm what he wanted, Chen Ming also planned to help him with a promise he had made before leaving the Space Station.

Scouting early would make it easier to act later.

On the way, Chen Ming contacted Brilliant and asked, ”How have you been in the past two days?”

Brilliant’s response was always quick: ”I’m doing great. Because of your connection, I can directly access the human network, where there’s a lot of fascinating knowledge for me to learn.”

”As long as there’s enough energy supply, I can stay here for a long time.”

”Hmm.”

Chen Ming wasn’t surprised by this; all Dusks were basically like that.

They work when there’s work and learn whenever there’s an opportunity during downtime, making their days very fulfilling.

Chen Ming then asked, ”How did you discover something was wrong with me before?”

”Because your Spiritual Energy’s impact on me weakened, I thought you might be in some trouble, so I used the emergency contact you left with me to reach the boss.”

Chen Ming frowned slightly. If his Spiritual Energy depletion would reduce his control over Dusk, he would need to prepare in advance.

”Was it a significant weakening?”

”Yes, very significant. The enhancement your Spiritual Energy provided me through the advantage logic blocks had almost disappeared previously.”

”?”

”Wait, what enhancement? What happened to your advantage logic blocks?”

This time, it was Brilliant who was confused, saying, ”Your Spiritual Energy enhances my ability in the advantage logic blocks, boosting my Computational Power by about 20% in this area. Isn’t that what your Spiritual Energy does?”

”?”
