Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 434: Chapter 152 Contact_3

However, they didn’t start immediately; they were still waiting for Chen Ming’s response.

Meanwhile, Chen Ming was already focused on the special action squad here.

He didn’t speak but was trying to use the Alpha Level Dusk individual’s access to directly redirect the gravity direction of the artificial gravity module here.

But at this moment, he discovered that it seemed the Alpha Dusk from the New Star Level had made prior arrangements, causing this module division’s Dusk to completely block all external communications.

All communication signals were jammed, giving no chance at all.

Thus, the mission ultimately fell on the special action squad.

Of course, Chen Ming would actively help them this time.

The captain, who hadn’t received a response from Chen Ming, nodded to his team members, deciding that they would execute the mission themselves.

But just at that moment, Chen Ming finally spoke.

”Once inside, find the data line. As long as you can connect, I can control the rest.”

”Yes!”

A hint of joy flashed across the faces of the team members; after all, with Chen Ming around, their missions were always so smooth.

The electronic technician, in particular, showed a notably excited expression.

However, just at this moment, an unexpected situation occurred again.

The entire Space Station began to experience slight tremors.

And suddenly, the squad members stepped into the void, floating from where they stood.

Dusk had shut down the artificial gravity device.

The captain calmly shouted to his team members in the communication channel, ”Continue! We are prepared!”

The squad indeed came prepared, knowing they might face a zero-gravity environment.

Therefore, among their equipment were small jetpacks, which assisted them in quickly moving in a zero-gravity environment.

They efficiently blasted open the door.

However, inside this module division of the artificial gravity device, it was pitch dark at the moment.

Here, to prevent Chen Ming’s presence, all systems were completely shut down.

Although Chen Ming could still control this module,

his Spiritual Energy had to obey basic physical laws. The mechanical equipment he controlled must have an energy supply to operate.

Dusk had cut the power, making it impossible for the backup power facilities and fuel present in every module division to continue existing.

At that moment, the captain suddenly took out something that looked familiar to Chen Ming.

Both its appearance and seemingly its essence felt familiar, leaving him very confused.

While Chen Ming was recalling, the captain noticed the puzzled looks of the other team members and explained, ”A micro-antimatter reactor. Commander Bai said it’s something that recently came out of the lab.”

”Its primary function is to supply energy. A reactor the size of a fist, once stable, can power a Cruiser. It can certainly power a Dusk’s equipment.”

”In necessary times, it can also be detonated directly. Its power... should be quite remarkable.”

Hearing the captain’s introduction, Chen Ming suddenly remembered.

Its appearance was very similar to a weapon called the Antimatter Shock Wave he had previously obtained from Dusk.

Chen Ming definitely believed that if the Human Military had been dealing with antimatter energy supply and developed some achievements,

but the situation with this micro-antimatter reactor was different. Its appearance was too much like that of the Antimatter Shock Wave; there couldn’t be no connection.

This was most likely technology derived from Dusk’s weapon.

Chen Ming remembered that his relationship with the company was just fine at the time.

So he handed over this unused item to the factory director, asking him to help handle it.

The factory director seemed to have arranged for it to be sent to the company’s research institute.

Could it have been obtained by the military? Or did the company proactively give it to the military?

A sudden, intense headache forced Chen Ming to stop thinking about the issue.

If things were indeed as he just thought, he should definitely collect some patent fees from the company.

But that was too far off.

Right now, Chen Ming still had to complete the final mission with the special action squad.

Dusk willingly cut off the power, meaning it willingly gave up most of its defense methods.

The special action squad smoothly connected a Dusk core that Chen Ming specially delivered from the stabilized core zone into this module.

After that, their task was simple—to find the backup power room in this module division and restart the power.

With the precise map provided by Chen Ming after controlling the module, the squad quickly arrived at their destination.

However, they realized they hadn’t encountered a single defensive robot on their way here.

Dusk had concentrated all defensive measures here.

Furthermore, they had completely destroyed the power supply equipment.

This was the reason for Chen Ming’s failure when he attempted to directly repair the power source with Spiritual Energy just now.

The damage itself wasn’t important; what was important was that the special action squad had to break through such defense to give Chen Ming the opportunity to repair the functional equipment.

This was where Chen Ming couldn’t help them right now.

”It’s up to you.”

”Yes!”

The special action squad had journeyed silently and steadily, so the large amount of weaponry they carried was still in their hands.

Chen Ming believed they could definitely breach the defenses here.

At that moment, Bai Quan’s communication suddenly rang again, ”The movements of the two Radiation Levels on my side have become a bit aggressive; Dusk’s reinforcements might be arriving soon.”
