Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 428: Chapter 151 Fall

After the special operations team entered the shipyard warehouse.

They immediately left through the freight corridor gate leading outside from the warehouse and hid in a corner of the warehouse.

Without being detected by any Dusk, they slowly began to explore the situation in the warehouse.

It can only be said that it is still due to the design of the massive dock by humans.

Resulting in a situation where even in the warehouse of such an important building, many parts still have to follow human design logic, otherwise it would be impossible to use it normally.

Therefore, the situation in this Dusk warehouse at this moment was quite similar to many warehouses the special operations team had seen before.

With a large number of cargo containers used for stacking goods.

At the same time, there were many robots, transport vehicles, and fixed logistics equipment sorting and transporting the materials or semi-finished products stored in the warehouse.

If you didn’t know in advance, at first glance, one might really think they were in a human warehouse.

This kind of environment made the few people present slightly more at ease.

A relatively familiar environment like this is certainly better than entering a completely strange one suited for Dusk.

However, it’s uncertain whether Dusk’s own warehouses are even open.

Perhaps there are only a few standard-sized freight exits that only allow cargo to pass through, and a variety of internal logistics facilities for sorting goods.

There would be no such design featuring wide passages accessible by large vehicles.

While confirming the general environment of the warehouse, the team members also remotely hacked into several surveillance systems that might cover their subsequent routes.

But what blocked their further infiltration into the Dusk core area were not just the surveillance systems but also over a dozen cargo robots.

They were continuously working, and given the precision of their operations, it was certain that they were being controlled in real-time by Dusk individuals, making infiltration impossible.

Moreover, these robots, unlike those of humans, didn’t have limited vision for ease of control.

From the beginning, Dusk are responsible for control, and being able to view multiple visual sensor signals simultaneously is their instinct.

So each robot essentially serves as 360-degree surveillance with no blind spots.

Fortunately, the large amount of cargo piled up here was a great help, providing plenty of cover for the special operations team in the warehouse.

Although the robots had nearly all-around vision, they still lacked the ability to see through objects.

Carefully avoiding these robots with the help of surveillance, the special operations team successfully made it to the other end of the warehouse.

Unfortunately, during this process, they did not find any external or exposed data lines.

Although they did find data lines just beneath the surface of the wall, breaking through the wall would surely attract Dusk’s attention.

So they could only first install some special explosives in the warehouse that could be manually detonated later.

They then left the warehouse through a logistics exit that had only equipment and no Dusk robots.

Heading to the adjacent factory zone.

This was the place they had just confirmed they needed to enter next to continue deeper into the Dusk core area.

Only here could they subsequently come into contact with Dusk’s ships.

Although the factory area, due to its terrain issues during design, allowed Dusk to construct their required engineering facilities autonomously, resulting in the entire factory having the Dusk style Chen Ming had seen before.

Compact, narrow, and composed purely of mechanical equipment.

However, this environment is actually simpler for the special operations team.

Because Dusk has no robots here, only various production equipment and assembly lines, along with the equipment monitoring the assembly lines.

As long as they hacked the surveillance, they could walk through openly.

Moreover, because this was close to the core region that was hardest to infiltrate, the defense equipment was sparse.

Even if there was defense equipment, they had the internal data codes provided by the ”insider,” Chen Ming.

Defense systems not under real-time control by Dusk but left to operate autonomously posed no threat to them.

The factory area was also easily passed through.

Beyond that was the most crucial finished product transport zone of the entire maintenance plant.

Various repaired equipment needed to be transported from here, and repaired ships had to take off and land here as well.

These logistics ships or repaired ships could directly use the spacious ship berth within the largest dock capable of accommodating a Main Ship, to head to various departments within the dock.

And the special operations team’s objective for this trip, the Gravity Magnet Repeller, was distributed around this berth.

However, they didn’t rush to leave the factory.

Because there’s a large presence of Dusk individuals there.

An open logistics distribution center didn’t have the abundant cargo providing cover, like the warehouse they just passed.

Moreover, there were issues with independent Dusk individuals that couldn’t be hacked.

Therefore, what lay ahead for the special operations team was the final stage.

They retraced their steps a bit and barely found a spot with a little bit of space in the narrow factory area.

Here, they installed probing equipment and precisely confirmed the position of the Gravity Magnet Repeller.

They also confirmed the position of the maintenance ships they hadn’t found when they passed through the factory zone earlier, through this equipment.

In the maintenance plant, they needed to find a Dusk ship they could control.
