Global Flood: I Survive on Duckweed

Chapter 340: Chapter 209: Supply Ships Arrive, Back to Work

Hearing the excitement in Qin Haonan’s voice, Ren Yuanyang was a little speechless. ’It feels like as long as he doesn’t have to study, Haonan will do absolutely anything!’

”Take ten people to Dawn Base. Their empty supply ships are about to arrive. You are to go over and pilot them all back,” Ren Yuanyang ordered.

”You got it!” Qin Haonan replied.

”You need to contact Captain Long first. They should have already begun relocating their base,” Ren Yuanyang reminded him. ”Find a few people with good piloting skills to go with you. Don’t crash the Aircraft Carrier Base’s supply ships!”

”Yes, Leader! Don’t worry, I’ll definitely pick the ones with the best piloting skills to go!” Qin Haonan immediately thumped his chest and promised.

”Good. Get ready and head out now,” Ren Yuanyang said with a slight nod.

After ending the call with Ren Yuanyang, Qin Haonan eagerly sent a message to Long Zhan. ”Captain Long, share your location. We’re heading out now!”

”Alright!” Long Zhan was taken aback for a moment, then immediately replied with a laugh, ”I thought you’d need a little while to prepare. I didn’t expect you to be so fast!”

”If you’re not eager to work, you’re not thinking straight!” Qin Haonan started spouting nonsense. He definitely wasn’t going to admit he was only this enthusiastic because he wanted to escape his studies.

Long Zhan couldn’t help but give him a thumbs-up. ”It’s rare to see a young man with that kind of mindset!”

As he spoke, he shared his location with Qin Haonan.

After receiving the specific coordinates, Qin Haonan immediately gathered the ten base members with the best piloting skills and hurried toward Dawn Base.

Peach Blossom Base now had many speedboats, and the daily work of expanding the Banyan Forest required them to constantly move the boats, which naturally trained a group of drivers with relatively decent piloting skills.

Although piloting a speedboat was different from piloting a large ship, it was still better than a complete novice who knew nothing!

Besides, the sea was wide open right now. As long as the ships kept their distance from each other, there wouldn’t be any issues with collisions or scrapes.

While Qin Haonan was on his way to Dawn Base, Ren Yuanyang had already entered a state of Cultivation. As his understanding of the classical texts deepened, his Cultivation became smoother and smoother.

His Mental Energy could now extend outwards for more than four meters. This was almost on par with the first-tier, naturally awakened Evolvers, though of course, it was still no match for the top-tier ones.

Jing Shu, who had been ambushed and killed by the Xi’an Base, had been able to extend his Mental Energy at least seven meters.

However, Ren Yuanyang had only been in Cultivation for a few days and had already achieved such an improvement. Surpassing them was only a matter of time.

Two hours passed quickly, and Qin Haonan had already arrived at Dawn Base.

”Captain Long, have your supply ships arrived yet?” Qin Haonan asked as soon as he saw Long Zhan.

”They’ll be here in about twenty minutes. You guys got here really fast!” Long Zhan said with an amused laugh.

Qin Haonan nodded slightly. ”My leader had me bring a batch of medicinal herbs. You should take them.”

”That’s great! We’ve already used up the last batch of herbs. I’ll arrange for people to unload them right away!” Long Zhan’s eyes lit up, and he immediately had his deputy standing by go find people to unload the cargo.

Qin Haonan was taken aback. ”It seems your base has a lot of patients!”

”Yes, and the Aircraft Carrier Base has even more. These medicines aren’t nearly enough!” Long Zhan lamented.

Qin Haonan thought to himself, ’Looks like our base is still the safest!’

Yesterday, there had been fewer than forty cases of infection, and when he left Peach Blossom Base today, he hadn’t heard of any new ones.

Twenty minutes passed in a flash, and the empty supply ships from the Aircraft Carrier Base had arrived at Dawn Base.

Long Zhan pointed to the five massive supply ships before them and said, ”These are the five. You can pilot them straight back! Do you need me to arrange for any pilots?”

Qin Haonan shook his head decisively. ”No need, we brought our own. In that case, we’ll be taking them now!”

”Alright. I look forward to seeing these supply ships return fully loaded soon!” Long Zhan nodded.

”It shouldn’t take too long!” Qin Haonan tossed out the remark and directed the pilots he had brought to get the five ships moving.

He himself patrolled the surrounding area in his speedboat. Besides observing the environment, his main task was to remind the pilots not to get too close to one another to avoid scrapes or collisions.

Watching Qin Haonan and his crew clumsily pilot the supply ships away, Long Zhan felt a sense of resignation.

His deputy couldn’t help but say, ”Captain, piloting like that... they’re not going to wreck our supply ships, are they?”

”Look how far apart they’re keeping the ships. How could they possibly crash into each other?” Long Zhan shook his head.

”They won’t right now, but I’m worried about when they get to Peach Blossom Base. They’ll have to dock next to other large ships, right? That won’t be easy to maneuver!” the deputy said, his face full of worry.

Long Zhan was momentarily stunned, then shook his head again. ”We don’t have many choices right now. After all, only Peach Blossom Base can provide us with fuel.”

The deputy could only nod in resignation.

Meanwhile, at Peach Blossom Base, Hua Lingfang had gone to the supply ship early in the morning to check on yesterday’s patients, confirming that all of them had basically recovered.

Furthermore, more than eighteen hours had passed without any new patients appearing.

”It seems our base has the virus under control!” Hua Lingfang immediately reported the situation to Ren Yuanyang. ”I think we can lift the quarantine now and let them get back to work!”

Yesterday’s thirty-seven patients had all recovered their health thanks to the medicinal decoction, proving that the herbs from Peach Blossom Base were extremely effective in treating this viral infection. Therefore, there was no need to continue the quarantine.
