Global Flood: I Survive on Duckweed

Chapter 330: Chapter 204: Securing Dawn, War of Words (3)

”Brother Yang, what’s the status of the licorice soup you’re preparing?” Wang Jun asked urgently.

”It’s ready. I’m on my way to Dawn Base now!” Ren Yuanyang immediately replied. ”I need an hour. Have your medical staff do everything they can to keep them alive!”

”Alright!” Long Zhan replied gravely. ”Should we kill all of them, the ones from Xi’an Base?”

Wang Jun’s brow furrowed slightly. He didn’t answer directly, instead turning to Ren Yuanyang. ”Brother Yang, what do you think we should do with the prisoners from Xi’an Base?”

”Execute the ringleaders and anyone guilty of heinous crimes. Enslave the rest. The base still needs manpower for its development,” Ren Yuanyang replied gravely.

Hearing this, Wang Jun and Ji Yizhi exchanged a glance, seeing pleasant surprise and satisfaction in each other’s eyes.

”I think Brother Yang’s idea is excellent,” Wang Jun said, voicing his approval. ”What do you think, Old Long?”

Long Zhan was taken aback for a moment, his brow deeply furrowed. ”So many prisoners... won’t they be difficult to control?”

Ren Yuanyang smiled faintly. ”They’re just ordinary people. How hard could they be to control?”

The single sentence was a wake-up call for Long Zhan.

”That’s right! We have so many Evolvers, why would we be afraid of these ordinary people?” The realization dawned on Long Zhan. ”I get it. When you get here, we’ll execute the ringleaders together!”

”Alright,” Ren Yuanyang replied.

At 10:30 AM, Ren Yuanyang rendezvoused with Qin Haonan and his group, and they arrived at Dawn Base together.

Long Zhan came out to greet Ren Yuanyang personally.

With no time for pleasantries, Ren Yuanyang asked Long Zhan to take him to the research vessel.

No more test subjects had died in the past hour. Ren Yuanyang immediately had the licorice soup he’d brought force-fed to them.

Half an hour later, all the test subjects had stopped screaming and returned to normal. The effects of the licorice soup were instantaneous!

The test subjects had thought they were doomed. They had all watched their companions die in agony. They never expected that after being force-fed some medicinal soup, the pain would rapidly subside. Now, they couldn’t feel a thing.

Watching the test subjects, who had stopped screaming but were still panting heavily, Long Zhan gave Ren Yuanyang a thumbs-up. ”Your medicine is really something else!”

Ren Yuanyang shook his head slightly. ”It’s not our medicine that’s amazing, it’s the herbal medicine.”

Long Zhan nodded slightly. ”Yes, the wisdom passed down from our ancestors is truly incredible.”

”What’s the status of the prisoner interrogations?” Ren Yuanyang changed the subject.

”They’re still being interrogated. Why don’t you come to my office for a while?” Long Zhan invited.

”Alright.” Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly and followed Long Zhan out.

Qin Haonan and Jianghu followed close behind.

Meanwhile, a fleet of small boats arrived at Xi’an Base, carrying the group of people who had defected from the Aircraft Carrier Base.

After they identified themselves, the Xi’an Base guards confiscated their phones before leading them inside.

”Boss, aren’t we here to wage a propaganda war? Why did they confiscate our phones?”

”We’ve already made it to Xi’an Base. We’re here to enjoy the good life, not fight some propaganda war.”

”You’re right, Boss!”

After being led aboard the ship, the group was immediately locked in a windowless cabin.

”Hey, buddy! Isn’t there some mistake? We’re the heroes here!” the leader shouted to the soldier locking them in.

”Who’s your buddy? Just stay put. The Commander will see you when he has time!” the soldier replied coldly, locking the cabin door and turning to leave.

”Boss, what’s going on?” someone asked timidly.

The leader replied, ”It’s fine. The soldier said the Commander will see us when he has time. After we meet him, I’m sure we’ll get a handsome reward!”

”But I’m so thirsty now!”

They hadn’t brought any fresh water with them when they defected from the Aircraft Carrier Base, and after holding out for so long, they were reaching their limit.

”Just hang in there a little longer.”
