Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Unlucky Song Ce (Thanks to Rebirth: I am Long Yutao for sending the explosive update and flowers)“Did you find the black box?”

“We found it, it’s this one.”

As he spoke, he pulled a red square box from his backpack.

“Take me to submit the mission tomorrow. The ice crystal stone is mine. I’ll give you a thousand gold coins. Any objections?”

“No, no objections. We were going to sell it to you anyway when we got it back.”

When Lin Feng said he would give him gold coins, Wang Fei showed a surprised expression, then quickly nodded and agreed.

According to their previous three-way split, he would only have received five hundred gold coins, but now he had an additional five hundred, which was already the best outcome.

After throwing the two bodies out of the house, Lin Feng looked at the supplies of these people.

“Where did you find these things?”

Lin Feng opened a bottle of mineral water, took a big gulp, and asked.

“The supplies were given by the person who issued the mission at the camp.”

“Oh, I see. By the way, what’s your name?”

“Wang Fei.”

Lin Feng nodded slightly, then opened a pack of compressed biscuits and began to eat.

After eating and drinking his fill, Lin Feng locked Wang Fei in a room, then lay on the sofa and closed his eyes to rest.

........

The sixth day arrived.

At six in the morning, Lin Feng woke up. After opening the door and letting Wang Fei out, Lin Feng drove the car according to his directions towards the camp.

This camp should not be a safe zone, after all, 101 had told him before that the nearest safe zone was hundreds of kilometers away.

Lin Feng speculated that this camp should be something similar to a small shelter, with a lower safety factor in all aspects compared to a safe zone.

Three hours later, Lin Feng drove his car to the vicinity of the camp.

“Let’s get out and walk. My car isn’t convenient to drive in.”

“OK, I understand.”

Wang Fei said repeatedly. From the words sprayed on the car, it was clear that Lin Feng had stolen it.

The camp was surrounded by concrete walls.

Built against a mountain, each of the three surrounding walls had several Soldier patrolling, and there was only one main gate for entry and exit, with no restrictions on movement. The gate was wide open, and Soldier also stood guard outside.

Most of the people entering this camp came from other places to trade, using the information gap in the wasteland world to earn rewards.

Inside the camp, the outer areas were filled with shanties built from scrap metal sheets.

These shanties were scorching hot in summer and freezing cold in winter, but having a place to shelter from the wind and rain was enough for those trying to survive.

Both sides of the road were also lined with people who looked like walking corpses.

In the outer area, regardless of gender, age, or youth, everyone was barely surviving on the daily relief food from the camp.

Further inside, conditions improved.

There were wooden houses, brick and tile houses, and the pedestrians looked much more energetic, appearing busy, each carrying firearms and a large backpack.

Those in better conditions drove cars or rode heavily modified motorcycles.

Lin Feng even saw a motorcycle with added nitrogen acceleration, its exhaust pipe was bigger than his head.

He truly didn’t know why a motorcycle would have nitrogen acceleration. A flying motorcycle??

Soon, the two arrived at a luxurious Villa.

Indeed, no matter where you are, there is always a gap between rich and poor.

This Villa even had private armed personnel. After frisking Wang Fei and Lin Feng, they allowed the two to enter.

They could only retrieve their weapons when leaving.

The owner of the Villa was precisely the person who had given Wang Fei and his group the mission.

When he saw that the black box had been found, he faithfully took out three ice crystal stones.

Finally, it was a cash-for-goods transaction.

After leaving the camp, Wang Fei looked at Lin Feng, his meaning obvious.

“Don’t worry, you’ll get your gold coins. Just contact me once we’re back at the Elevator.”

“Oh, alright, thank you, Lin Da Lao. So, can I go now?”

“Go ahead.”

Lin Feng nodded.

“By the way, here’s a gun for self-defense.”

Saying that, Lin Feng tossed him a shotgun.

“Thank you, thank you, Lin Da Lao!”

Wang Fei took the shotgun, thanked him, and then turned and left.

Watching Wang Fei’s departing back, Lin Feng raised his gun and sneered.

“Too naive.”

Bang!

Upon hearing the gunshot, Wang Fei’s heart skipped a beat. Before he could even turn around, a bullet accurately struck his heart.

Arriving at Wang Fei’s corpse, whose eyes were still open in death, Lin Feng retrieved the shotgun he had given him.

There weren’t even any bullets in that gun.

Back in the car, Lin Feng drove while thinking about where to spend the last remaining day.

Meanwhile, at the military base.

Song Ce learned about a War Titan in the military base from a tattered newspaper and found the military base’s location on a map.

After two days of hardship, he finally arrived at the military base.

“Finally, I’ve arrived. It wasn’t a waste of all that time.”

Song Ce said as he pulled an anti-material sniper rifle from the gold prospector’s pocket.

“War Titan, War Titan, where is it….”

Soon, Song Ce saw a pile of iron lumps emitting black smoke through the scope.

Why did it look so much like a War Titan??

Song Ce quickly took out a photo to compare.

“Holy crap, it really is! Is it about to be scrapped because it’s emitting black smoke? Haha, this was truly an effortless gain.”

Song Ce quickly aimed at the already scrapped War Titan, then pulled the trigger.

However, he never expected that his mission objective had already been taken by someone else.

After firing several shots, Song Ce still hadn’t received the Elevator’s broadcast prompt. Just as he was wondering why, a bright light rose from the military base.

Song Ce’s pupils contracted slightly as he saw the light through the scope. He quickly put his gun back into his backpack, stood up, and ran backward.

“How can this cursed place still be firing rockets?! Damn it!!”

Boom!!

The rocket exploded. Song Ce, who had run nearly a hundred meters away, was still thrown back by the air blast, and a giant flying rock struck his right leg squarely.

The good news was that he was alive; the bad news was that he was crippled.

Clutching his continuously bleeding right leg, Song Ce leaned against the wall and struggled to stand on his other leg.

Then he hopped to a safe place to stop the bleeding.

His leg, if nothing unexpected happened, was essentially ruined.

.......

Soon, the last day passed. This floor was definitely the most miserable survival floor Lin Feng had experienced.

His stomach was never full.

After waking up in the minivan, the Elevator’s broadcast sounded.

Then the Elevator appeared before Lin Feng.

Now Lin Feng’s Elevator space was large enough, so he drove the minivan directly into the Elevator, preparing to dismantle it slowly.

Many weapons on the minivan were quite valuable; even the shell could be thrown into the material pile as an upgrade material.
