Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Mike’s RetirementUnfortunately, later on, the zombies barely appeared, and Lin Feng found it too time-consuming to search for them one by one with the life detection radar. If he spent a whole day, he might not earn as many gold coins as he did in the first hour.

Including what was left in the Elevator, Lin Feng’s current total gold coin count was around twelve thousand.

It was a pity he didn’t run into that Special Mutant; otherwise, Lin Feng would definitely have made it taste his iron fist.

After all, his experience of being hunted down last time was still vivid in his mind.

However, what Lin Feng didn’t know was that the Special Mutant had already discovered him, but after seeing Lin Feng’s current strength, it decisively chose to temporarily avoid his Edge.

Even without a weapon, Lin Feng, clad in his battle armor, had superior overall strength, and if he combined that with laser weapons, the Special Mutant wouldn’t stand a chance; it would essentially be crushed.

That’s why it didn’t jump out to hunt Lin Feng, because then, it wouldn’t be clear who was hunting whom.

On the other side, the Special Mutant stood on the city’s tallest building, watching Lin Feng’s departure, then leaped down towards the troops that had arrived to clear out the mutants.

......

After a final glance at the nearly destroyed, bustling metropolis, Lin Feng took a detour and left Manhattan.

There were still two days left until the holiday ended.

Let’s go visit Old Mike.

After contacting Old Mike, Lin Feng learned that the private jet he had previously taken had remained stationary, waiting for him at the airport.

After boarding the private jet, it was still the same setup, except the maids had been replaced with a new group.

.........

“Old Mike, this guy didn’t build an airport on the island, did he???“

Hours later, looking at the Pacific Ocean below, Lin Feng wondered.

The plane he was on wasn’t a seaplane.

Taking a bite of the cantaloupe handed to him by a maid, Lin Feng continued to admire the scenery outside.

Soon, he saw a small island with a yacht moored nearby.

This must be the place.

“This damn nouveau riche... he really built a runway??”

Soon, the plane landed, and Old Mike and the others, having received advance notice, were already waiting at the airport.

After Lin Feng disembarked, they all gave him a big hug.

“Let’s go, I’ll show you my mansion!”

Old Mike laughed heartily, then patted Lin Feng’s shoulder.

Along the way, Lin Feng also learned that these guys were now running legitimate businesses.

Little Fu operated over a dozen taxi companies and many bars, as well as a legal cannabis business, and his income was very substantial.

Old Cui continued to run his international trading limited company, but all the goods traded were firearms, which also yielded large profits, though it was somewhat dangerous.

As for Old Mike, he was essentially living a retirement life, having acquired several large theaters and cinemas, and also funding a film production team, with all his remaining money deposited in the bank.

Now, his daily life consisted of strolling on golden beaches, fishing on his yacht, and if bored, he could always fly back to the big city to relive the extravagant life.

Besides Old Mike and his friends, there were hundreds of servants on the island, as well as a fully armed Security Guards team.

Upon arriving at the mansion, Lin Feng realized that Old Mike had built it directly on the mountainside.

From this vantage point, one could see the entire island’s beautiful scenery.

Taking the Elevator to the mansion, Lin Feng suddenly noticed another small island not far away through the floor-to-ceiling windows, where some buildings had also been constructed.

“You have neighbors in this place??”

Lin Feng asked, pointing at the distant small island.

“Oh, that? I bought that too. That island was very cheap, and since it was right next to mine, I bought it along with this one.

I plan to turn that into a racing track. It’s currently under construction and estimated to be completed in another year. Then we can race there, haha, there are no cops here to bother us, so we can drive however we want.”

Old Mike said excitedly, pouring red wine for everyone.

“Hey, Fatty, don’t you look at how old you are. I remember the doctor told you not to do extreme sports, didn’t he?”

Old Cui, standing nearby, ruthlessly retorted.

However, Old Mike’s health was indeed deteriorating, as he was already getting on in years.

“None of your business, Lin, Little Fu, don’t mind this spoilsport. Want to go fishing together?”

............

After spending an afternoon on Old Mike’s luxurious yacht, Lin Feng stayed on the island for a night, and the next day, Old Mike took them to the adjacent island.

After touring the construction progress and then gathering back in the city, Lin Feng finally bid farewell.

Because the time to return to the Elevator was approaching.

It was late at night, and Lin Feng stood on an empty bridge, quietly waiting for the Elevator door to open.

Just then, an owl flew in front of Lin Feng and, unafraid, perched on Lin Feng’s shoulder.

Its sharp talons directly tore his clothes.

Just as Lin Feng curiously wanted to pet the owl, it suddenly vanished from his shoulder.

Yes, it vanished; it didn’t fly away.

Seeing this, Lin Feng rubbed his eyes, a bit bewildered.

He definitely hadn’t misseen it just now, and the tear in his clothes was still there.

However, when Lin Feng reached for his shoulder, he suddenly found that the torn opening in his clothes had also disappeared.

“How could this be?!”

Did he just imagine it?

How could that be!

Lin Feng absolutely couldn’t believe he had imagined it, but how to explain the clothes and the vanished owl?

[Ding Dong! Holiday time has ended. Seekers are requested to immediately return to the Elevator.]

“Hmm? Isn’t there still half an hour until it’s time?”

Just as Lin Feng was wondering, the Elevator door suddenly appeared before him, and after a dazzling white light, Lin Feng opened his eyes again and was back in the Elevator.

“Damn, why so urgent this time? You dog of an Elevator.”

After complaining, Lin Feng began to ponder the bizarre scene he had just witnessed.

However, no matter how he thought, he couldn’t come up with a reasonable explanation.

Ultimately, he could only write down what happened today in his notebook.

At this moment, Xiao Long was sleeping, and it seemed to have grown a bit larger.

He really wanted to know what its current attributes were.

Arriving at the Exchange, Lin Feng filtered out the transaction information for the upgrade set.

Now that the upgrade mission was complete, he only needed 5 more upgrade sets to upgrade.

Fortunately, the Exchange didn’t disappoint Lin Feng; there were ten upgrade sets available for sale, each priced at three hundred gold coins.

After buying them all, three thousand gold coins instantly disappeared from Lin Feng’s small treasury.

“This money, it really doesn’t last long....”
