Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Brush gold coinsAfter putting on his gas mask, Lin Feng left the sealed-off slum with his gun.

With this new identity, no one would stop Lin Feng no matter where he went next.

Mutated creatures, they should be in the heavily infected zone, right?

But the key problem was, he didn’t even know where the heavily infected zone was. Forget it, he’d just walk forward and see.

Just then, an engine sound came from behind Lin Feng.

He turned his head and saw an armored Humvee driving by.

Seeing this, Lin Feng had an idea. After waving to the Humvee, it slowly stopped in front of Lin Feng.

”Is there anything I can help you with, sir?”

Clearly, Lin Feng’s rank was higher than this Soldier’s.

Lin Feng didn’t know how to tell military ranks specifically, as there were no markings on the clothes.

Could it be that ranks were distinguished by clothing?

”Can you take me to the heavily infected zone?”

”Uh, sir, which zone do you want to go to?”

Which zone?

Damn it, how would I know what zones there are?

Suddenly, Lin Feng recalled a location he had heard about when he first entered the Doomsday Building.

”Take me to Central Park, is it on your way?”

”Haha, we just happen to be going there to transport supplies. Come on up, sir!”

”OK, thanks, brother.”

After getting into the Humvee, Lin Feng realized that there were only two Soldier in the vehicle, including the driver who had just spoken to him. The remaining empty seats were filled with some medicine.

The Soldier in the passenger seat quickly gave his seat to Lin Feng, and he went to control the machine gun on top of the vehicle.

After an hour of bumpy driving, Lin Feng finally saw some familiar sights.

Because Central Park could access various areas of the city, the Soldier had re-controlled it and built a checkpoint there.

After passing through the sentry post, Lin Feng entered the tall surrounding wall.

”Sir, do you want to get off?”

”Yes, I owe you this time.”

”Haha, you’re welcome.”

...........

After getting out of the car, Lin Feng was about to walk around the base when the alarm suddenly blared.

Then, a loudspeaker in the center of the base sounded.

”All standby Soldier assemble, all standby Soldier assemble! A large number of mutated creatures have appeared at Kanta Building, and their numbers are threatening the safety of the checkpoint. Proceed immediately to eliminate them, proceed immediately to eliminate them.”

The broadcast looped, and a large number of fully armed Soldier ran out of the base’s barracks.

In a short while, three truckloads of Soldier assembled, then left the checkpoint under the escort of armored vehicles and helicopters.

And Lin Feng was naturally among them.

His mission just happened to be to kill ten mutated creatures.

Isn’t that a coincidence?

He just hoped there were enough mutated creatures over there.

......

Not far from the base, a large number of zombies appeared from the abandoned city.

However, under dense firepower, even when facing tens of thousands of zombies, this convoy remained strong.

The attacking zombie horde couldn’t even get within twenty meters of the convoy.

Soon, the convoy stopped, not because they had arrived, but because the road ahead was blocked by a large number of cars, so they had to get out and proceed on foot to their destination.

”Roar!!”

Just as Lin Feng passed an SUV, a zombie suddenly pounced on the window.

The Soldier following behind Lin Feng quickly shot the zombie inside the car.

”Everyone, be careful of these abandoned cars; there might still be zombies inside.”

Lin Feng didn’t pay attention to the team commander’s words; he was still thinking about how to get away.

Now that he had reached his destination, he naturally didn’t need to follow them anymore.

Wouldn’t it be better to just put on his armor, grab his Charging Pistol, and let these low-level creatures taste high-tech?

At this moment, the helicopters in the air had already flown ahead to the destination.

Lin Feng intentionally slowed down, and in a short while, he reached the very back of the team. Seizing the opportunity, he flashed into a nearby alley.

The zombies in this alley had already been cleared out. After putting his clothes into his cowhide backpack, Lin Feng put on his armor and directly soared into the air, looking down at the entire infected zone from above.

”Sir, a large number of satellite signals have been detected. Do you want to enable the shielding state?”

”It has this function too? Enable it, enable it!”

”Okay, it’s enabled.”

As soon as Dahei enabled the shielding function, intense gunfire and explosions came from the direction the helicopters had flown, presumably they had encountered mutated creatures.

Observing through the magnified view, only one of the three armed helicopters that had flown over remained.

The last one was not spared either; after Lin Feng arrived, it was hit by a flying minivan.

Its propeller was immediately destroyed, and it crashed to the ground emitting black smoke. The surviving Soldier inside naturally all became food for the mutated creatures.

Lin Feng had seen the mutated creatures below before; he remembered they were called Fighters. Their individual combat ability wasn’t very strong.

Three or four rockets could usually take them down.

However, there were more than a dozen Fighters gathered on this street right now.

Just then, an outdoor air conditioner unit flew towards Lin Feng, but it didn’t trigger his danger perception. Clearly, this thing had no killing power against Lin Feng in his armor.

Looking at the rapidly approaching outdoor air conditioner unit, Lin Feng slowly extended his hand.

Bang!

With a dull thud, the outdoor air conditioner unit was easily caught by Lin Feng, who then forcefully threw it back.

It directly sent that Fighter sprawling.

”One, two, three, four, five... eleven. Hmm, enough to complete the mission.”

These Fighters looked like a group of fat pigs in Lin Feng’s eyes. After counting, Lin Feng took out the Technology Rhinoceros Horn Bow from his cowhide backpack.

”Bye~”

In less than thirty seconds, all the Fighters that had easily destroyed three helicopters were turned into meat skewers.

For dealing with creatures that are all flesh, laser weapons are simply too effective.

”Ding dong! Congratulations, Seeker, the upgrade mission has been completed, and you have obtained an upgrade permit.”

The Elevator’s broadcast sounded as expected.

After completing the mission, Lin Feng did not leave immediately. He still had three days of vacation time. Since he was already here, he might as well earn some gold coins to take with him.

There were plenty of hostile creatures in this place.

According to the armor’s life form detection, Lin Feng went to the most densely populated area of zombies, then adjusted to continuous fire mode, drew his bowstring, and a dazzling laser rain appeared in this prosperous city.

Zombies: I think I saw my great-grandmother....

The next day, Lin Feng was a bit tired, but the gains were very substantial; he had earned exactly 8000 gold coins.
