After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1243: Chapter 1247: Are You Two for Real?

Slender eyebrows and big eyes that stretch out when closed, her eyelashes are thick and curled. Her nose is straight and proper, and her slightly full lips don’t close completely, slightly parted, breathing with a faint chocolate aroma.

Her curly chestnut long hair spread on the pillow, making her petite face appear more delicate. Lying on the pillow, Xu Xia looked as beautiful as a big porcelain doll.

”Well, not that ugly!”

Murmuring softly, Leng Zirui stood up, closed the curtains for her, turned around to close her room door, and carefully locked the main door before leaving.

The next day, Xu Xia slept until the afternoon, only to be woken up by a call from Lan Zi.

With her eyes closed, Xu Xia groped for the phone that Leng Zirui had placed on the table beside her, groggily pressing the answer button.

”Don’t forget about the red carpet at the international film festival tonight.”

”Got it.”

”Should I come over at six-thirty?”

”Mmm...”

Replying with a single word, she turned over and continued sleeping. Just as her head burrowed into the blanket, she suddenly sprang up in a hurry.

Glancing around, she saw it was her own room. She quickly lifted the blanket to check her clothes were still on neatly before she sighed in relief.

Last night... she had gone to eat first, then fell asleep in the car. How did she get back home to her own bedroom?

Her gaze swept over the neatly placed shoes on the side, and she raised an eyebrow in confusion.

That guy, Leng Zirui, was actually so nice to her, not only carrying her upstairs but also taking off her shoes?

”Casanova, it seems for the sake of picking up girls, he can do anything!”

With her straightforward character, she naturally wouldn’t misunderstand that Leng Zirui was truly being nice to her, assuming he was just temporarily trying to please her for the sake of attending the international film festival.

”Humph!” Jumping off the bed, Xu Xia smirked coldly, ”Brat, now that you need something from me, you’re acting all nice, unlike the times when you were against me.”

Bending down to grab her phone, Xu Xia pulled up Leng Zirui’s number from her phone book and dialed immediately.

The call was quickly connected, and Leng Zirui’s voice came through the receiver, ”What’s up?”

”Jinjiang Hotel’s braised jujube porridge and HSBC’s vegetarian buns, deliver them within an hour, or else...” Xu Xia chuckled slyly, ”Don’t bother picking me up this afternoon!”

She hung up, tossing the phone onto the blanket, and turned to walk into the bathroom, a look of smugness on her face.

”Leng Zirui, oh Leng Zirui, trying to win over a girl indeed comes at a price!”

Given the rare chance that brat needs something from her, how could she not take the opportunity to give him a hard time?!

On the other end, Leng Zirui had just taken a cup of instant noodles from Seo Shaochuan, listening to the dial tone, he smirked and handed the cup back, ”I need to go out for a bit.”

”But isn’t the film festival in the evening?” Seo Shaochuan looked a bit puzzled, ”The noodles just finished soaking.”

”Aunt Xu wants Jinjiang Hotel’s braised jujube porridge and HSBC’s vegetarian buns, I have to deliver them to her!” Leng Zirui stood up from the chair, ”Keep an eye on things, let me know if anything happens!”

”Are you two seriously hitting it off?” Seo Shaochuan nodded while asking.

”Seriously?” Leng Zirui rolled his eyes at him, ”I’m just humoring her for now because I need something from her.”

That Xu Xia girl stubborn as a mule, if she really gets upset, she might really change her mind. Tonight’s event is crucial, so of course, he has to placate her a bit, to prevent that girl from throwing him any curveballs at the last minute.
