After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1204: Chapter 1208: Performance

Extending her palm, Luo Xiaoqian lightly but firmly gripped Luo Ke’s hand and stated her English name, ”Sissi Luo.”

She politely shook his hand, held it for two or three seconds, then released her fingers and withdrew her hand.

Luo Ke repeated her name, ”Sissi Luo, are you Chinese?”

”I am Chinese.” Hearing his somewhat awkward pronunciation of ’Luo,’ Luo Xiaoqian smiled, ”You can call me Sissi. Over there is our company’s booth. I really appreciate the opportunity you’ve provided, allowing me to communicate with European music companies.”

”This is beneficial for everyone, isn’t it?!” Luo Ke turned and followed her towards the L&L booth, ”It’s arranged quite exquisitely.”

John had already walked over and stood protectively by Luo Xiaoqian’s side. Selena and the others also stepped out, and Luo Xiaoqian introduced Luo Ke’s identity to the group, and everyone took turns shaking hands with him.

During the conversation, Luo Ke’s assistant Allen walked over.

”The guests have arrived,” Allen whispered to Luo Ke.

”Okay.” Luo Ke nodded gently, bid farewell to Luo Xiaoqian and the others, and turned to leave the exhibition hall with Allen.

Although Luo Xiaoqian was somewhat surprised by his identity, she didn’t pay much heed and immediately continued setting up the booth with the others.

In the afternoon, the conference officially began, and Luo Xiaoqian’s planning company attracted considerable attention from European music companies, especially after they learned that the company had already entered the Chinese market, which aroused great interest among these clients.

Entering the Chinese market is a vision for many European and American record labels and music companies. Having previous experience as a local pop star, Luo Xiaoqian easily gained their recognition, and many companies expressed an interest in collaborating with L&L.

In the evening, Luo Xiaoqian, along with the others, headed early to the Roman Grand Theatre to participate in the festival’s performance activities.

To help the company gain recognition, Selena had already secured an opportunity for her to perform during the conference.

That night, the Roman Grand Theatre was ablaze with lights.

Having completed a lucrative transaction in the afternoon, Luo Ke was in a good mood. He hadn’t originally planned to watch the show, but made a rare appearance at the theatre.

”Now, let us welcome Miss Luo, known as Princess Qianqian from the mysterious East, to perform for everyone.”

After the host announced, a spotlight lit up a corner of the stage, and Luo Xiaoqian appeared before everyone’s eyes.

From the audience, upon hearing her name, Luo Ke naturally cast his gaze over.

Under the lights, Luo Xiaoqian wore a modified white hanfu with light makeup, a dazzling fire phoenix painted between her brows, making her skin appear as delicate as sculpted jade. Amidst the rising mist, she gracefully extended her wide sleeves, resembling an ethereal being, pure and beautiful.

”That night, the first sight under the moon, a phoenix glowed between your brows, captivating my eyes.

How many times, gazing into each other’s eyes, a hundred twists of tenderness in your gaze.

...”

She was singing her hit song ”Dropping Lip.”

With Chinese lyrics and a melody in a Chinese style, she didn’t adapt the song to English to cater to European preferences.

The saying goes, what’s national is what’s global. Luo Xiaoqian knew they probably wouldn’t understand the lyrics’ meaning, but amidst a sea of R&B and classical music, her performance was sure to be the most distinctive. They would remember her, and thus also remember her L&L.
