After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1241: Chapter 1245: Are You Planning to Use Chili Oil for Skincare?

Due to past events, Leng Zirui initially worried that Xu Xia might intentionally make things difficult, but to his surprise, she agreed readily, so naturally, he wouldn’t go out of his way to oppose her.

These days, he was fixated on the issues between Tang Ming and Seo Fei around the clock, only sleeping three or four hours a day and barely eating.

He waited outside the studio for over two hours just for her to finish recording her song, and by then, he was truly starving.

The car soon arrived near Gui Street, and Xu Xia pulled out a pair of wide-framed glasses from her bag and wore them on her face. She pressed down on her baseball cap and pushed open the car door to step out.

Although it was already close to midnight, the street was still bustling with people. Xu Xia and Leng Zirui walked side by side into the street; both of them had tall and slender figures. Coupled with Leng Zirui’s captivating aura, even though Xu Xia was trying to stay low-key, they still attracted quite a few glances.

Luckily, during performances and filming music videos, she was usually recognizable with her smoky makeup. With her fresh look and disguise, the difference was significant, and besides, who would expect such a big star to be at a place like this eating street food? No one recognized her as Xu Xia, a top-tier singer.

Finding a store she frequently visited, she dropped into a corner seat, casually flopped onto a chair, and began ordering with no reservation.

”Three plates of spicy crayfish, ten skewers of beef tendon, ten meat skewers... and a jug of beer!” She efficiently ordered a whole bunch before looking at Leng Zirui across from her, ”I’m done ordering, your turn!”

Leng Zirui raised an eyebrow, ”That’s a lot; can you finish it?”

She ordered so much, he thought it was a double portion including him, but it turned out to be just her share?!

Xu Xia tossed a complimentary sunflower seed from a small plate into her mouth, ”Anyway, you’re picking up the tab, not spending my money.”

Leng Zirui chuckled softly and immediately told the server, ”Same again, but swap the beer for fruit juice!”

Honestly, due to recent events, he hadn’t visited here for a long time to eat, so today he decided to take the chance to enjoy the food. Anyway, what she ordered suited his taste well, so he might as well get another batch.

Of course, he couldn’t drink alcohol as he still needed to drive.

Soon, the food was served, filling the entire table.

Xu Xia immediately started digging in without care for her image, sucking in air due to the spiciness while still stuffing her mouth.

”Don’t you singers all have to protect your voices? Aren’t you afraid of ruining it by eating such spicy food?” Leng Zirui asked while eating.

”It’s not like I eat it every day.” Xu Xia replied, satisfying her belly and sipping iced beer contentedly, ”What a thrill! It would be great to have this every day!”

Leng Zirui stood up, ”Alright, finished eating, let’s go. I have stuff to do!”

After settling the bill, they walked together towards the parking area.

He noticed the oil stain on her cheek and jokingly asked, ”Are you planning to use chili oil as a beauty product?”

Xu Xia heard this and hastily grabbed a tissue from her bag to wipe it off but was unsure of the exact spot. Her attempt not only failed to clean it but also smeared the oil stain, making it larger.

”A bit more to the left... That’s right... So clumsy...”

Seeing her continue to miss the spot, Leng Zirui took the tissue from her hand, using his other hand to gently grasp her chin.

As he leaned closer, Xu Xia froze for a moment, but before she could react, his fingers holding the tissue were already on her face.

Leng Zirui’s actions seemed rough at first, but in reality, they were very gentle.

...

...

There was a hint about Leng Zimo’s other identity before, but maybe I hid it too deeply, and everyone missed it. Good night.
