After hanging up, Chen Fei let out a slight sigh of relief; the matter was finally settled.

”Brother Fei, how did it go? Everything should be fine now, right?” Seeing Chen Fei hang up the phone, Gu Feishuang couldn’t help but whisper anxiously, her fingers clenched tightly.

”It’s all good. Your brother should have been released by now. As for that foreigner… you can rest assured he’ll probably never bother you again.” Because you’ll never see him again. Chen Fei silently added in his heart.

”Really?! That’s great…”

Upon hearing this, Gu Feishuang’s pretty face lit up with excitement. Just then, her phone rang.

She immediately took it out and saw the caller ID was her brother’s number. It was most likely the official from the Consulate General in Milan calling. Gu Feishuang quickly answered. ”Hello? Hello, is this Mr. Luo Zhou? It’s me… My brother, Wang Tai, how is he now?”

”Haha, he’s fine now. I never expected that you and your connections in Italy had such influence, Miss Gu. It’s truly surprising. We don’t need to trouble ourselves over here anymore. I’m at the Milan Police Station right now. The chief just told me they’re in the process of releasing Mr. Wang, so I should see him in a few minutes. What’s more, just a minute ago, I received separate calls from the heads of the Antonio and Braswevinch Families. They’re on their way to the police station to personally apologize to Mr. Wang Tai,” the official from the Consulate General in Milan said, his tone now considerably warmer and more reserved than before.

He couldn’t help it. Even as a staff member of the Huaxia Consulate General in Milan, who considered himself worldly and had weathered his share of storms, he was completely stunned by today’s events.

After all, in less than twenty minutes, she had managed to resolve such a ’major issue’ in Italy from all the way across the vast ocean!

One had to understand that the Antonio and Braswevinch Families were no joke. The former held tremendous influence and prestige in Milan, while the latter was an even more powerful and terrifying family, affiliated with the Prada brand under the Saint Laurent Group. And now, the heads of these two powerful families were personally rushing to the police station to apologize for detaining a person of Huaxia over a ’misunderstanding’.

Just the thought of it made Luo Zhou feel dizzy.

At this point, he finally realized that the woman he was speaking to was a major figure with immense power, one whose influence could reach overseas all the way to Italy.

”It’s… it’s all sorted out?”

Gu Feishuang was clearly taken aback by his words. When she heard that the heads of the Antonio and Braswevinch Families were personally rushing to the police station to apologize to her brother, she felt completely overwhelmed. Her eyes widened as she stared at Chen Fei, filled with utter disbelief and admiration.

Although she was just a minor celebrity and actress, she was well aware of how terrifyingly powerful and influential someone had to be to settle such matters with a single phone call. Furthermore, this involved the Antonio and Braswevinch Families, prominent local powers in Milan, Italy. This was simply… simply… incredibly impressive.

”It’s all taken care of? If so, you should hang up. Your brother might call you in a moment,” Chen Fei said with a smile upon seeing her reaction. It couldn’t be helped. What was Pierce’s identity and status in Italy? A small matter like this was a piece of cake for him, wasn’t it?

”Oh, okay, then I’ll hang up… Thank you, Mr. Luo. I’m hanging up now,” Gu Feishuang said immediately, ending the call.

”Mr. Chen, you’re truly amazing to have such influence even in Italy. After all, that’s the Braswevinch Family, part of the Saint Laurent Group. They have significant power in Italy.” Even if Gu Feishuang hadn’t said a word, her agent, Sister Li, had obviously grasped the situation from the phone call and was now staring at Chen Fei in absolute shock.

In fact, she had initially thought that no matter how extraordinary Chen Fei was, he couldn’t possibly extend his reach to a foreign country like Italy.

This was especially true when dealing with powerful local families like Antonio and Braswevinch from Milan. But now… Chen Fei had not only resolved the issue with a single phone call but had done so in such a short amount of time.

Of course, she was still unaware that the heads of the Antonio and Braswevinch Families, whom she considered so powerful, were currently scrambling toward the Milan Police Station as if their lives depended on it, rushing to apologize to Gu Feishuang’s brother, Wang Tai. If she knew that, who knows how stunned she would be.

”It’s nothing. I just happen to have a few friends in Italy who are doing quite well,” Chen Fei said with a laugh, offering no further explanation. It’s better to keep a low profile with these things, haha...

”Brother Fei, thank you so much. If it weren’t for you… It’s just that my brother and I are very close, and my aunt’s family has always been so good to me, so, so…” At this, Gu Feishuang finally let go of her tension and spoke to Chen Fei with some embarrassment. She felt ashamed for having been so nervous and distrustful earlier.

”Why are you being so formal with me?” Chen Fei waved his hand dismissively and said with a smile.

Just as the atmosphere here finally eased, on the other side of the ocean, outside the police station in Milan, Italy, Luo Zhou, the consulate official who had just escorted Gu Feishuang’s brother, Wang Tai, outside, was stunned by the scene unfolding before him, as was Wang Tai.

The heads of the Antonio and Braswevinch Families, who they imagined would be haughty and superior, were instead standing before Wang Tai, trembling. They were apologizing frantically, looking so nervous that the collars of their shirts were soaked with sweat, which they wiped at ceaselessly with their handkerchiefs.

”Res-Respected Mr. Wang, our Antonio Family failed to recognize your worth. That Bruce must have been blind to have offended you. For this, we feel profound remorse and guilt! To show our family’s sincere apology, please accept this modest token.” The head of the Antonio Family spoke first, his voice trembling as he produced a dazzling check.

The amount written on it made a young man like Wang Tai dizzy with a single glance. He stammered, his tongue feeling thick, ”O-One… one million?!” The number on the check was a one followed by six zeros. And this wasn’t RMB, but Euros!

”And us, us too… Respected Mr. Wang, to clear up this misunderstanding and to express the sincerest apologies of the Braswevinch Family, this is our family’s token. From this night forward, you will be a most intimate friend of the Braswevinch Family.” The head of the Braswevinch Family then dropped an even bigger bombshell.

A token of the Braswevinch Family? A most intimate friend?

The words made both Wang Tai and Luo Zhou’s heads spin as they stared at each other in confusion. Luo Zhou, in particular, had already heard the news, but the question was, wasn’t their current attitude a bit… a bit too… much?

As for Wang Tai, he was utterly stunned and shaken. He knew his family well; they were just an ordinary, modestly well-off household. Making these two powerful men so panic-stricken was impossible, let alone extending any influence to Milan, Italy, on the other side of the world. Could it be because of his cousin? But… that seemed highly unrealistic.

He knew that even though his cousin was a celebrity now, she couldn’t possibly wield such power. In the eyes of these powerful Italian families, a celebrity was probably no different from an ordinary person, especially a star from Huaxia, not Italy.

”Um, that… Respected Mr. Wang, do you find our sincerity lacking? Don’t worry, we can negotiate. How about… three million?” Seeing Wang Tai remain silent for so long, the head of the Antonio Family thought he was dissatisfied and his face fell, his voice trembling even more.

Was this a joke? He had just received a personal call from the Saint Laurent Group. If he didn’t appease this ’lord,’ he would be courting death.

”Um, that… Could I make a phone call first to ask? Sorry, gentlemen, my head is still spinning. I don’t know what’s happened.” Stunned for a long moment, Wang Tai finally managed to say this.

He really wanted to figure out what was going on before doing anything else. Right now, it felt like he was dreaming.

”Of course, of course. Please, go ahead,” the heads of the Antonio and Braswevinch Families said with tremulous, fawning smiles, not daring to stop him.

Wang Tai then dialed his cousin, Gu Feishuang.

”Hello? Is this Mr. Luo? Or is it Xiao Tai? Are you okay now? They didn’t hurt you at the police station, did they?” The call connected quickly, and an anxious voice came through the phone.

”Sis, it’s me. I’m okay now. But this whole thing… was it really you…?” Even now, he couldn’t believe it. Even if his sister was a star, how could she have suddenly become so formidable? This was Italy, not their home country, and they were dealing with two very powerful and influential local families from Milan.

What on earth was going on?

PS: After yesterday’s chapter burst, I’m completely out of stockpiled chapters again, so I have to write as I go. *Sigh*... Still, thank you all so much for your incredible support yesterday.
