Medical Sage

Gazing at the brown-haired, middle-aged woman lying on the bed in a deep coma, a peculiar look flashed in Chen Fei’s eyes. He then turned to Pierce Earl beside him and said suddenly, ”My Lord Pierce Earl, I must inform you in advance that the treatment I am about to use involves massage and Tui Na from Traditional Chinese Medicine. It may involve contact with Lady Rosa’s more sensitive areas, so I ask for your understanding.”

”Is that so? Respected Chen, rest assured. I understand this is to treat and save a life. You don’t need to consider my feelings. Please, do what you must,” Pierce Earl said, freezing for a moment before nodding immediately in understanding.

”In that case, I will begin. Anyone not directly involved should probably step outside for a moment, as I require quiet,” Chen Fei continued.

”All of you, out! Now!” Hearing this, a trembling Doctor George began shouting orders before Pierce Earl could even speak, driving all the other doctors and nurses out of the ward. Soon, only he, Old Tuqi, and Pierce Earl remained.

At that moment, Chen Fei had already walked slowly to the bedside and pulled back the bedsheets covering the patient. As he did, however, he suddenly frowned, struck by a strong odor.

It seems the situation is more serious than I initially thought… Chen Fei murmured to himself, reaching out to gently knead the patient’s feet. This was a rather ancient technique, one that had long vanished from the Traditional Medicine Community. Only someone with his ’special experience’ could bring it out and dare to use it.

”What is the meaning of this!?”

Lady Rosa was clearly suffering from severe heart and cardiovascular disease and was in an extremely dangerous post-attack state. Doctor George simply couldn’t comprehend the point of Chen Fei’s inexplicable foot massage. Is this a joke?

Of course, after the previous incident, no matter how much sarcasm and disbelief he felt, George Anthony Lias dared only to bottle it up inside.

After all, Pierce Earl alone was enough to frighten him, let alone the noble and powerful Brad Family supporting that Eastern charlatan… oh, no, no, no, that respected gentleman from the East. How could a mere doctor like me dare offend such a mighty family, considered the uncrowned kings of Italy?

By this time, Chen Fei had already moved from kneading and massaging the patient’s feet up to her thighs and waist… then to her hands, and finally to her head. Only after completing a full circuit did he slowly stop.

However, he had intentionally left one area untouched during this massage: Lady Rosa’s chest.

Chen Fei clearly understood that the patient’s chest was a minefield where even the slightest careless movement could lead to severe problems. That was why he used such an indirect method, employing special massage techniques on other areas of the body to restore vitality to the patient’s heart and repair the diseased blood vessels.

Obviously, with his current strength, this process couldn’t be completed in one fell swoop; after all, the heart is known as the second most complex vital organ in the human body. Thus, he began to repeat the entire process.

Once, twice, three times…

”Tuqi, what is Chen doing?”

After watching this monotonous and strange process repeat several times, even Pierce Earl couldn’t help but feel his stomach churn. He pulled Old Tuqi out of the room and whispered, not because he didn’t trust Chen Fei, but because this method of treatment was simply too far removed from anything he had ever imagined—it was completely counterintuitive.

”Your Lordship, I can’t understand what Chen is doing either,” Old Tuqi whispered back, though he was just as puzzled himself. ”However, since we have already chosen to trust him, we must continue to do so unconditionally. Some Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques for saving lives are indeed quite strange. This is nothing out of the ordinary.”

If even these two laymen were so perplexed, Doctor George, the ’expert,’ was naturally even more baffled. He simply could not comprehend the purpose behind Chen Fei’s actions. The more he thought about it, the more his disdain and hostility towards Traditional Chinese Medicine grew.

What kind of rubbish TCM is this? Such inexplicable methods can cure illness? Oh, what has this world come to? If that kid didn’t know a big shot from the Brad Family, I guarantee I would have already thrown such a charlatan out of my hospital! he sneered inwardly, even beginning to eagerly await the coming disaster.

You must understand, even though that kid knows someone from the Brad Family, Pierce Earl is no pushover. He’s backed by the Saint Laurent Family. Even if it can’t compare to the Brad Family, his status as an Earl carries significant weight. How could he possibly allow his beloved wife to die at the hands of someone acting so recklessly?

He was certain that Chen Fei’s ”reckless” actions would kill the poor Lady Rosa. He guaranteed it.

”Are the silver needles here?” Chen Fei suddenly asked.

”...Coming right away!” Pierce Earl heard Chen Fei’s voice from outside the room and quickly called back. He then frantically dialed his subordinate’s number, urging them loudly.

Before long, someone rushed over.

”Dear Chen, your needles are here. They are made of gold, pure gold,” Pierce Earl said, taking a set of Golden Needles from his subordinate and bringing them in to Chen Fei.

”Very good.”

Chen Fei nodded with satisfaction upon seeing the set of Golden Needles. He took the set, his fingers dancing like butterflies as he continuously drew seven Golden Needles from the needle bag, holding them between his fingers. His dark, translucent eyes, like glazed gems, stared intently at the patient’s body, focusing on seven major acupoints around her heart.

The patient’s heart was in a terrible state, nearly at the point of failure. Normal methods were likely futile, so he prepared to use a technique from the Cultivation World to perform the acupuncture.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

In the next moment, his hands moved with lightning speed, inserting six of the seven Golden Needles into six major acupoints around the patient’s heart.

Instantly, the comatose body of Lady Rosa began to shake violently. Even more bizarrely, drops of pale red sweat started to seep from her pores, dampening the bedsheets and causing the faces of everyone present to change dramatically.

Something’s gone wrong, Doctor George thought, a shiver running down his spine as the medical instruments around the bed began to blare with chaotic beeps.

”Oh, no! Rosa…” Pierce Earl’s face paled dramatically, but Old Tuqi quickly covered his mouth, having noticed that Chen Fei hadn’t finished yet.

Only one needle left. Seeing the patient sweating blood, Chen Fei merely smiled confidently, holding the last needle and waiting calmly. A moment later, a gleam flashed in his eyes. He fixed his gaze on Lady Rosa’s heart region, and the final needle descended swiftly.

”Mmm~”

All at once, the deeply unconscious Lady Rosa let out a faint sound.

At the same time, the bizarre scene of her sweating blood vanished, and the medical instruments stopped their beeping alarms.

Pierce Earl stood dumbfounded, as did Old Tuqi.

As for Doctor George, who had been filled with scorn and mockery, he now seemed completely frozen. His gaze was fixed on the data on a monitor, then back at Lady Rosa, who was gradually regaining consciousness on the bed. It was as if he were witnessing the most impossible, most inconceivable thing in the world, utterly unable to believe his eyes. He couldn’t help but mutter in shock, ”This… this… how is this possible!?”

He simply couldn’t fathom how it had been achieved—it completely defied medical logic. Such a critically ill patient had actually woken up, and in such an unbelievable way…

Could it be that Traditional Chinese Medicine wasn’t a sham after all?

”All done. But it seems the patient is still rather weak,” Chen Fei remarked, clapping his hands together as if to say the job was finished. He frowned slightly, however, noticing that Lady Rosa did not awaken promptly but remained dazed. This was clearly because her body was too weak, lacking in Yuann.

Seeing this, Chen Fei reached out and patted a few key acupoints on her body, casually transferring a bit of Spiritual Energy into her as he did so.

With that, Lady Rosa finally began to wake up, her face pale. She murmured, ”Oh, where am I? Pierce, are you there? My dear husband, I want to see your face.” She clearly remembered the moments before she had collapsed and was still overcome with fear.

”Oh, Rosa, I’m here, I’m here…” Pierce Earl became emotional and started to move toward her.

”My Lord Pierce Earl, wait.”

Chen Fei suddenly reached out and stopped him. ”Your wife’s condition is not good right now, so it would be best not to touch her. Have someone prepare some food and water. I don’t know if you have anything in Italy similar to porridge… Oh, as for what porridge is, you can ask Mr. Tuqi; he should know.”

”Oh, alright, I won’t touch her. Tuqi, could you help me prepare that… porridge?” Pierce Earl was jolted out of his daze and then expressed his profound gratitude. ”Dear Chen, thank you so much. You’ve saved my wife’s life.”

After saying this, he nervously approached the bed, leaned close to his wife Rosa’s ear, and said gently, ”Rosa, don’t worry, everything’s okay now. It was dear Chen who saved you.”
