”A staff member from the Consulate General in Milan?”

At this, Gu Feishuang’s delicate body trembled, and she instinctively covered her gasping mouth with her free hand. She then forced herself to calm down, asking frantically, ”Hello, Mr. Luo. I’m Gu Feishuang. Please, has something happened to Tai?”

”Yes, Ms. Gu, now listen to me…” Luo Zhou’s tone suddenly became peculiar. In reality, our consulate would normally notify the immediate family, not the responsible person’s sister like Gu Feishuang. But now, due to some very specific circumstances…

However, he regained his composure and said, ”The situation is this: your brother, Wang Tai, was just in an altercation with locals in Milan, which involved a physical fight. As a result, he has been arrested by the local police. The other party is highly influential in Milan, so if they insist on pressing charges against your brother, the situation could become quite troublesome.”

”Quite, quite troublesome?” Upon hearing this, Gu Feishuang’s face grew even more frantic as she stammered.

”Correct.” Over the phone, Luo Zhou nodded. ”If the other party insists on pressing charges, your brother might end up in an Italian prison. At that point…” He didn’t state it plainly, but the implication was crystal clear. Italy was not like their home country; if he really went to prison in such a place, where they had no reach, the matter would become truly difficult to handle.

”What? Prison!?” Gu Feishuang’s face paled in panic.

”No, Mr. Luo, Mr. Luo, you have to think of something…” She had lost all composure, pleading frantically into the phone.

If my brother really went to prison in Italy because of me, I just couldn’t accept it. My heart couldn’t take it.

But just at this moment, Chen Fei suddenly snatched the phone from her hand and calmly addressed the person on the other end, ”Hello, are you with the consulate?”

Gu Feishuang stared at him, stunned, her eyes filled with a mix of grievance and panic.

”It’s okay.” Chen Fei smiled to comfort her, then spoke again to the staff member from the Consulate General in Milan. ”Hello, I’m a friend of Ms. Gu Feishuang. We’re aware of the situation. We’d appreciate it if you could mediate for us and buy us some time. We’ll find a way to resolve this.”

Hearing Chen Fei’s voice, Luo Zhou was initially taken aback. He then said with a hesitant but serious tone, ”Sir, I can see you’re a sensible person, so I won’t beat around the bush. The Antonio Family is very influential in Milan; even a good portion of the police force shares their surname. Therefore, there’s really nothing we can do. You’ll have to handle this on your own.”

He paused briefly before adding, ”Additionally, I have a message for you from a member of the Antonio Family named Bruce. He said that if Ms. Gu Feishuang wants her brother to be safe, she’d better think carefully and return to Dubai to find an Italian named Itak.”

”Is that what he said?” Chen Fei asked slowly, a cold light flashing in his eyes.

”Indeed, that’s what he said, and… his exact words were rather unpleasant,” Luo Zhou replied helplessly.

”Alright, I understand. I’ll hang up now.” Hearing this, the fierce glint in Chen Fei’s eyes intensified, and he slowly ended the call.

”Brother Fei, my brother, he…” Gu Feishuang finally dared to speak, her voice fraught with panic.

”Don’t worry. It’s fine. I’ll make a phone call.”

Chen Fei, however, simply cut her off, patting her on the shoulder to reassure her. He then took out his own phone to dial a number.

Obviously, this call wasn’t for just anyone; it was for Earl Pierce. As the current head of the Saint Laurent Group, Italy, and a Marquis of the Blood Clan from the even more massive Saint Laurent Mafia Family that backs the group, Pierce was undoubtedly the undisputed ’king’ of the organization. Having him handle this matter would be more suitable than involving the Brad Family.

”Oh, dear Chen, what can I do for you?” As the call connected, Earl Pierce’s voice came through, tinged with slight embarrassment. As for why he was feeling embarrassed… Chen Fei, Young Master Chen, hadn’t noticed this small detail yet.

”Earl Pierce, I’m sorry to bother you again, but I have a small problem. Are you familiar with the Antonio Family and the Braswevinch Family?” Chen Fei asked, his voice grave.

”The Antonio Family and the Braswevinch Family?” Upon hearing the chill in Chen Fei’s voice and the names he mentioned, Earl Pierce’s expression turned grim. He replied in a weighty tone, ”The Braswevinch are a vassal family of our Saint Laurent Family. Antonio seems to be a minor family in Milan. What’s the matter, dear Chen? Have those blind fools provoked you?”

As one of the five great Mafia families in Italy, the Saint Laurent Family naturally had no shortage of vassals and followers of varying quality, and the Braswevinch Family was one of them. However, this family was not particularly formidable among the many vassals, but in fact, quite mediocre. Even I can look down on them now… So, have those fools blindly provoked dear Chen? Oh, those sons of bitches! They’re completely useless at getting things done but masters of screwing things up!

”Here’s the situation,” Chen Fei said. ”I have a friend whose younger brother, Wang Tai, is studying in Milan. He was just arrested by the police over a conflict with a local. I’d like you to look into this for me. If the fault is ours, then pretend this call never happened and do what must be done. But if certain people are trying to bully someone because of their connections, you should know what to do.”

”Dear Chen, I understand. Don’t worry, give me five minutes. I’ll get back to you with the results as soon as I can,” Earl Pierce replied, his eyes growing colder. He now understood why Huaxia Chen, who had been so amiable before, was now so irritable and prickly on the phone.

It was obvious, even without thinking too hard, that some idiots had used their influence to harass his friend’s younger brother… perhaps he was even just caught in the crossfire.

”Alright, thank you very much. Earl Pierce, should I hang up for now?” Chen Fei asked.

”Wait a moment.” Earl Pierce suddenly stopped him, speaking with a hesitant, awkward tone. ”Well, about that… dear Chen, there’s actually something else I need to tell you. Regarding the matter you asked me to handle before, it seems… it seems things have become a bit problematic.”

”A bit problematic? How so?” Chen Fei was taken aback. With the prestige and influence of the Saint Laurent Family, even if that kid from the Stephen Family in the United Kingdom had the backing of the Ashford Family, they shouldn’t have refused… or rather, they shouldn’t have refused the Saint Laurent Family over such a trifle, right? But now...

”I’m sorry, I truly didn’t foresee this,” Earl Pierce explained, wiping the cold sweat that had unconsciously beaded on his forehead. ”When I reached out to the boy from the Stephen Family, I was informed that the jade bracelet you wanted has apparently been taken by an elder of the Ashford Family.”

An elder of a Mafia Great Family like the Ashford Family! One had to be a Duke-level powerhouse at the very least to qualify for such a supremely noble position. He was merely an Earl of the Blood Clan; he naturally wouldn’t dare demand something from such an eminent figure.

”An elder of the Ashford Family? A Duke?” Chen Fei hesitated, clearly surprised. I never expected this to become so complicated and troublesome.

”Yes, a Duke. Dear Chen, I think you know that an entity like the Ashford Family is not someone even our Saint Laurent Family can afford to provoke, let alone one of their great and noble Dukes. So… so I am truly sorry, dear Chen. I’m afraid I can’t help you with this matter,” Pierce said helplessly.

”It’s all right, I understand. Honestly, I didn’t expect this to be so complicated either,” Chen Fei said with a smile, shaking his head. ”But could you tell me which Ashford Family elder took the jade artifact I wanted?”

Does he still intend to pursue it…? Earl Pierce’s pupils involuntarily constricted. He couldn’t imagine what could give Chen Fei the confidence to not give up, even knowing the other party was an elder of the Ashford Family—such a respected and noble Lord Duke. Could it be because of the Brad Family!? This thought hovered in his mind for a moment before he shook it off.

He then spoke in a serious tone, ”According to my information, the person in question is one of the top three of the five great elders of the Ashford Family: the esteemed ’Black Dragon’, Duke Niemosin!”

’Black Dragon’ Niemosin!

If anyone familiar with the European Dark World or the Blood Clan had been present, they would have been utterly horrified.

This ’Black Dragon’ Niemosin was a legendary figure in the Ashford Family! His strength and ferocious nature were both terrifyingly infamous.

He’s the one who took it?
