Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 250: Chapter 251: Heavy Digestion

AN:Another Bonus Chapter for you guys.

The sector remained locked in heavy silence.

After restoring the fallen Multiversals and the erased universes, Runar had simply nodded once and drifted back to his original position outside William’s membrane. He sat cross-legged in the void as if nothing significant had occurred. Golden light still faintly surrounded his body, but it was calmer now—denser, deeper, and far more refined than before. The residual pressure of his earlier aura had withdrawn, yet the memory of it lingered in the space like a quiet warning.

Every Universe Will and remaining Multiversal in the sector continued to watch him, they did not go back to their universe to continue on with their daily lifes now that the threat had been eliminated. But they also did not go near runar. As none of them had the balls to approach him.

The image of an Advanced-tier Void Devouring Dragon being systematically dismantled and used as a test subject was still burned into their minds. William, inside his own universe, stared at the distant golden figure with a complicated expression. He had already revised his internal evaluation of Runar three times in the last hour, and he still felt it was insufficient.

Runar closed his eyes.

The battle was not the issue, it was the aftermath.

The real work just began. Digestion.

The moment he turned his full attention inward, the vast quantity of information he had absorbed from the dragon surged forward like a tidal wave. Hundreds of principles, countless memories, battle experiences spanning trillions of years, techniques, and an enormous mass of high-quality information particles all pressed against his consciousness at once. He had not fully digested and integrated them to himself, so they were all in his body looking for an outlet to burst and escape. So there was no room for error. Everything had to be processed simultaneously.

He focused completely.

First came the principles.

The Void Devouring Dragon had accumulated hundreds of them over its long existence—principles stolen from universes it had consumed and from Multiversal beings it had defeated. Yet as Runar examined them, he immediately noticed the crude state of most. The dragon had never properly integrated the majority of these principles into its own foundation. It had simply stored them and used them in a rough, incomplete manner during battle or activities. They were just tools it could swing, not true parts of itself.

Runar’s internal voice was calm but carrying a trace of genuine amazement and caution.

*What a stupid dragon. He possessed such a supreme principle and didn’t even utilize it to its infinite potential. If it had truly mastered the Principle of Devour and properly fused these supporting principles... I wouldn’t even be standing here right now, not to talk of this sector and its surrounding sectors too. The Void race is truly terrifying.*

He began the careful work of digestion.

One by one, and then in carefully managed groups, he broke down each principle, stripped away the dragon’s incomplete understanding, and rebuilt them according to his own far more refined comprehension. Principles of space, time, destruction, creation, order, chaos, fate, and dozens of others were taken apart and made completely his own. The process was exacting. A single mistake in integration could create hidden flaws that would surface at the worst possible moment. Runar allowed no such flaws.

At the same time, the dragon’s memories poured in.

Battle experiences from countless hunts. Knowledge of distant sectors. Understanding of how different races and Multiversal beings fought. Detailed information about the structure of the multiverse itself. Techniques refined through actual combat rather than theory. All of it was absorbed, sorted, and filed into Runar’s own vast mental library. His knowledge of the wider multiverse expanded dramatically in a short span of time.

Most important of all were the information particles.

The sheer quantity and quality of the particles taken from the dragon were staggering. These were not ordinary particles. Many of them carried the compressed existence of entire universes the dragon had previously consumed. As Runar refined and integrated them, his internal universe count began to climb at a rapid pace.

Until this moment, only Runar himself had known the truth of his actual realm.

When he first entered the void in this sector, he had only just broken through to the Multiversal realm. He was at the early Beginner stage, carrying a little over one thousand universes within him. The reason every Universe Will and Multiversal had believed him to be Advanced-tier was purely because of the absurd depth of his principle mastery and control. His understanding and application of principles far exceeded what a normal Beginner-stage being should possess, creating the illusion of a much higher realm.

Only William knew the truth.

William was the only one who had been present when Runar first broke through a few months earlier. He alone understood that the calm figure sitting in the void had entered the Multiversal realm as a true beginner—and that everything else had been an illusion born of pure comprehension.

Now that illusion was becoming reality.

The Multiversal hierarchy was clear in the knowledge he had absorbed from the dragon’s memories:

- Beginner: 1 to 99,999 universes

- Initiate: 100,000 to 999,999 universes

- Adept: 1,000,000 to 99,999,999 universes

- Advanced: 100,000,000 to 999,999,999 universes

- Expert: 1 billion to 99 billion universes

- Master: 100 billion to 999 billion universes

- GrandMaster: 1 trillion to 99 trillion universes

- Paragon: 100 trillion universes and beyond

As the high-quality information particles continued to integrate, Runar’s internal universe count surged. From a little over one thousand, it climbed past ten thousand, then one hundred thousand, crossing into Initiate. It did not stop. The count kept rising through the Adept range and continued without pause. By the time the densest clusters of particles had been refined, his internal universe count had reached approximately four hundred million.

He had stepped firmly into the mid-Advanced stage of the Multiversal realm.

All of this—principle integration, memory absorption, experience assimilation, and the rapid elevation of his cultivation realm—occurred simultaneously. The mental pressure was immense. Runar’s focus remained absolute. He allowed no distraction, no leakage of attention, no instability in the process. The golden light around his body grew denser and more restrained as his foundation expanded and solidified at a terrifying speed.

Outside, the watching beings began to notice subtle changes.

The pressure radiating from the motionless golden figure slowly increased. It was not aggressive, yet several Universe Wills found themselves instinctively reinforcing their membranes again. William felt the shift clearly from inside his own universe and let out a quiet, complicated breath.

*He’s still getting stronger... even now.*

Time passed.

When Runar finally stabilized the bulk of the absorption, his aura settled into a new, deeper equilibrium. The Principle of Devour he had stolen and refined now sat firmly among his core principles, elevated beyond the incomplete version the dragon had used. Hundreds of supporting principles had been properly integrated. His understanding of the multiverse, of battle, and of the true requirements of each Multiversal stage had expanded dramatically.

He remained seated in the void, eyes still closed, continuing the finer stages of refinement.

Across the sector, the silence finally began to break—not in open conversation, but in the private channels shared by the Universe Wills and the remaining Multiversals.

”Did you feel that shift just now?” one Universe Will murmured in the group chat. ”His pressure increased again after he finished... whatever he was doing.”

”Increased?” another replied, voice tight. ”It felt like the void itself got heavier. I had to reinforce my membrane five times today.”

An Initiate-tier Multiversal who had been restored earlier spoke carefully. ”That dragon was Advanced-tier. Fully recovered. We all saw it. And he treated it like a research specimen. Then he just... sat down and started digesting it like a meal.”

”He’s not finished,” a quieter Will added. ”Look at him. He’s still refining. Whatever he took from that dragon is still being processed.”

Several of the older Universe Wills fell into longer silence before one of them finally typed, ”From this moment on, no one in this sector approaches him without extreme caution. We treat him as something far beyond a normal Advanced-tier. Agreed?”

A string of confirmations followed almost immediately.

William, alone inside his membrane, processed everything in private.

*Only I know the real starting point,* he thought. *A few months ago he was still at the threshold—just over a thousand universes. Beginner stage. Everyone else still thinks he was always Advanced. They have no idea he just climbed from the bottom of the Multiversal realm to mid-Advanced in a single sitting... by eating a dragon.*

He stared at the distant golden figure for a long time.

*What the hell are you, Runar?*

Some of the more cautious Universe Wills had already begun adjusting their long-term stance. A few quietly reinforced the borders of their realms facing Runar’s direction. Others simply lowered their presence, choosing to remain as unremarkable as possible whenever the golden figure was nearby. Respect mixed with deep wariness settled across the sector like a second layer of silence.

Runar remained seated in the void, eyes still closed, continuing the finer stages of refinement. The golden light around him pulsed once, then settled into a steady, restrained radiance.

The sector stayed quiet.

Everyone who had witnessed the earlier events now understood something important.

The being who had saved them was not finished growing.
