Myriad Heavens: Rise of the Rune God

Chapter 239: Chapter 240: Voices of the Dao

The academic portion of the exchange began right after the third day of tournament matches.

Both sides crossed through the massive wormhole into Willith’s universe for an extended series of Dao talks, knowledge-sharing sessions, and public demonstrations. The events were held in a vast open hall specially prepared for the occasion. The hall was enormous, with tall pillars of smooth white stone rising toward a high, arched ceiling that seemed to blend into the sky. Soft natural light filtered down gently, and the floor was made of polished crystal that reflected the energy of everyone present. Comfortable seating platforms and meditation cushions were arranged in wide concentric circles around a simple raised stone platform in the center where speakers would stand.

Runar’s clone attended every session in Willith’s universe. He chose a simple seat in the front row, close to the central platform. His main body stayed behind in William’s universe, sitting quietly in the same spot he had occupied during the tournament, continuing his deep study of its origin.

The Dao talks stretched across three full days of intense activity. Cultivators, ancient gods, scholars, and powerful experts from both universes took turns stepping onto the central platform. Some demonstrated rare techniques with bright flashes of energy. Others explained their personal understanding of laws and rules in careful, measured words. A few shared hard-earned experiences from their long cultivation journeys, speaking with quiet wisdom. The air in the hall was thick with energy. Insights flowed freely between the two different systems, creating an atmosphere of genuine learning and exchange.

Runar’s clone sat quietly in the front row the entire time. His posture was relaxed but upright. His information perception remained fully active, gently scanning every speaker and every demonstration. He absorbed every fragment of principle and understanding that appeared. He stored them carefully and sent the insights back to his main body in real time. Inside his mind, his internal catalogue grew rapidly. New connections formed between previously separate pieces of knowledge, and several seeds for unnamed principles became noticeably stronger and brighter.

Meanwhile, his main body in William’s universe continued reading the universe origin with calm, patient focus. He sat cross-legged on a simple stone platform, eyes half-closed, breathing slow and steady. The combination of the Dao talks through his clone and the direct reading here gave him an incredible flood of high-quality material. He felt a quiet sense of satisfaction as the pieces of understanding fit together more clearly. *This is exactly what I needed,* he thought. *The more I give, the more I receive.*

On the final scheduled day of the talks, the atmosphere in the great hall felt charged with anticipation. The hall was packed. Many of the strongest beings from both universes were present, sitting in the front rows or floating in reserved viewing areas above. The sessions had already been extremely valuable, but everyone sensed that something even greater was about to happen.

Then Runar’s clone stood up from his seat in the front row and walked slowly toward the central platform. He said in a calm voice, ”It’s my turn to contribute.”

A wave of attention swept across the hall. Whispers spread quickly. Word traveled at incredible speed through the live broadcasts that William had set up. When people learned that Runar himself was about to share his insights, both universes immediately became alert. Seats were arranged more neatly. Powerful beings straightened up. Recording constructs were prepared with extra care. The entire venue buzzed with excitement and nervousness.

Runar’s clone raised his hand gently on the central platform and spoke in a calm, clear voice that carried through the hall.

”There is no need to prepare special arrays or amplifiers. My voice will be heard throughout both universes at the same time. My clone here and my main body in William’s universe will speak together. This Dao talk will not end today. It will continue for months.”

A stunned silence fell over the venue. Then, almost as one, every being in both universes sat down. Billions of cultivators, gods, and ordinary people found places to sit or kneel respectfully. The entire multiversal exchange seemed to hold its breath in anticipation.

From where he stood on the simple stone platform in the center of the great hall, Runar began to speak.

His voice — steady, clear, and perfectly synchronized from both his clone and main body — reached every corner of both universes at once. As he spoke, golden Dao runes began to appear in the air around him. They flowed out from his words like living light and spread rapidly. Within minutes, shimmering golden runes covered the walls, the floor, the high ceiling, and even the sky above the hall. They continued spreading outward — across cities, mountains, vast oceans, and the empty void between the two universes. Every inch of both realities became filled with these glowing symbols of understanding. The runes did not force themselves on anyone. They simply existed, radiating gentle, profound knowledge that anyone could study at their own pace.

William watched the scene with wide eyes from his position in his own universe. Even as the ruler of an entire cosmos, he felt a rare sense of awe. ”Even I cannot make my Dao runes cover every inch of my one universe like this,” he murmured quietly to himself. ”This level of control and clarity... it is beyond what I expected.”

Willith’s projection, observing from her side, showed a similar reaction. Her usually calm expression shifted with genuine surprise. In a private mental exchange with William, she said, ”To blanket two entire universes simultaneously... even I would find that difficult with just one.”

Runar started from the very beginning.

He spoke about **Will** — the fundamental driving force behind all cultivation. He explained how a clear and unwavering will forms the root of every true path. He moved on to **Intent**, showing how raw will is shaped into focused purpose. Then **Concepts** — the first true expressions of understanding that bridge thought and reality. He continued to **Laws**, describing how concepts become stable, repeatable structures. Next came **Rules** — deeper, more personal expressions of laws that carry the unique mark of the cultivator. Finally, he reached **Principles** — the highest level he had personally achieved, living truths that stand above even complete rules.

At the very beginning, some battle-oriented peak-level beings frowned slightly. A few exchanged annoyed glances. They were already at the top of their realms. Starting from something as basic as ”Will” felt unnecessary. One powerful fighter from William’s side muttered under his breath, ”We came for advanced insights, not beginner lessons.” His friend next to him nodded. ”This is a waste of time.”

But as Runar continued speaking for hours, then days, the atmosphere in both universes changed completely.

He did not simply list definitions. He showed the hidden connections between each stage. He pointed out common gaps and misunderstandings that even veteran cultivators had carried for centuries without realizing it. He gave practical examples from both universes and explained how the different systems could complement each other instead of competing.

The effect was profound.

Across both universes, countless beings began to break through.

In a bustling city in William’s universe, a group of talented young cultivators who had been stuck at a bottleneck for decades suddenly felt their foundations clear. Golden light erupted around them as they advanced to the next realm right in the middle of the street. In a quiet mountain sect in Willith’s universe, several older Supremes who had plateaued for hundreds of years felt new pathways open in their minds. Some immediately entered meditation, their bodies glowing with breakthrough energy. Even some half-step Multiversal beings experienced small but meaningful improvements in their comprehension.

The golden Dao runes continued to cover every inch of both universes. They floated gently in busy cities, quiet mountains, vast oceans, and the empty void itself. A farmer paused his work in the fields, a child in school suddenly understood a difficult concept, and a group of soldiers training stopped to listen. Anyone who looked at the runes could feel Runar’s clear explanations resonating in their minds. The runes did not force knowledge — they simply made understanding easier and deeper for those who were ready.

Runar did not stop after one day. He continued speaking day after day from the central platform in Willith’s hall and from his seated position in William’s universe. His voice remained steady and patient. He answered questions that naturally arose in the minds of his listeners. He revisited topics when needed and went deeper as the days passed. The Dao talk had truly become a months-long event.

Celestia, Cassia, and Nyla listened together from their seats. Celestia smiled softly as she watched her husband. ”He really is something else,” she whispered, her eyes full of love and pride.

Nyla’s eyes were shining with excitement. ”I understood so much more than I expected... even the basic parts helped me see my own weaknesses.”

Cassia kept writing in her notebook, her hand moving quickly across the pages. ”This will change everything for so many people.”

The same skeptical peak-level fighter who had complained earlier was now furiously taking notes with a serious expression. His friend teased him quietly, ”Not a waste of time after all, huh?” The fighter only grunted and kept writing.

William and Willith’s projection observed the entire scene with deep respect. In a private mental exchange, William said, ”The scale of what he is doing... sharing such clear knowledge across two entire universes for months... is something neither of us has ever seen.” Willith agreed silently, her expression thoughtful.

By the end of the first week alone, the number of breakthroughs across both universes had already reached staggering levels. The grand multiversal exchange had evolved far beyond competition or simple knowledge sharing. It had become a true turning point for countless cultivators in both realities.

Far away in the void, William and Willith both sensed a very faint disturbance — the first tiny sign of the larger threat they had been watching for. They exchanged a worried glance but said nothing yet.

Runar continued speaking calmly from the central platform, his voice reaching every being who wished to listen.

The Dao talks had only just begun.
