High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1313: Chapter 60: The Vision of the Yellow Flowered Cat

Beta Town, North District.

The long night dragged on, and the moonlight was faint.

When Zheng Qing and Jiang Yu encountered a Black Wizard on their way and a conflict erupted between them, the Surveillance Magical Formation that Korma had recently set up in the North District was triggered.

With just a thought, she knew what had happened.

The abduction by foreign Black Wizards in the North District was something she knew about and had been reported by the wizards of the North District. On one hand, local snakes could not suppress mighty dragons, and on the other hand, the adversaries were very cautious, selecting mainly tricksters who did not meet the selection criteria of the North District wizards.

This kind of thing had always been happening, and the contracts of those Black Wizards were nothing less than a last straw for many tricksters in desperate situations. Accustomed to this harsh reality, Korma had no particularly strong reaction and mostly let things take their course.

As long as they did not overstep their boundaries.

However, now they definitely had overstepped.

Regardless of her relationship with those two young wizards or the terrifying backgrounds of those two young people, even if they were just ordinary First University students, they should not have experienced this.

This was Buji Island, the Buji Island of First University. It was audacious for Black Wizards to rob the students of First University in the North District—this act was a simultaneous challenge to her prestige as the North District Great Wise Person and to the prestige of First University.

Korma did not hesitate at all as she stood up and disappeared without a trace under the astonished gazes of the other Northern District wizards at the very moment the thought crossed her mind.

Her thoughts were clear; she couldn’t allow this sudden incident to ruin the reputation of the North District in First University or in some circles. So she would resolve the trouble as quickly as possible.

But when she crossed the void and steadied her body, she was surprised to find herself not appearing between the two young people and the two Black Wizards as she had anticipated.

Instead, she was standing above their heads.

More precisely, in the void above that small battlefield.

A Yellow Flowered Cat had arrived earlier than her and was squatting a few steps away, head lowered, watching the conflicting parties below.

”Here already,” the Yellow Flowered Cat did not turn around but simply raised its tail and greeted the witch, ”... Next time, you should come a bit earlier, this is your territory after all.”

Korma looked at its back, then at the two anxious young people below, her expression somewhat complex.

She did not foolishly ask whether they needed to intervene or suggest she should capture the two Black Wizards. Clearly, this Flower Cat whose background she did not know had everything under control and seemed to plan to toughen up the two young people.

”I’ll keep that in mind next time,” Korma quietly replied.

”Just an old fellow’s suggestion, don’t mind it.” The Yellow Flowered Cat finally turned its head, glanced sideways at the witch, then shook its whiskers as if it smiled, raising its paw to point at the scene below: ”What do you think of them?”

The Yellow Flowered Cat did not specify who ’they’ were.

This did not hinder the witch from responding.

”They have poor judgment,” Korma replied ambiguously—it meant that the two Black Wizards had exceedingly poor judgment, only identifying people by their robes and mistaking two First University students for tricksters; it also referred to Zheng Qing and Jiang Yu’s lack of experience, as they faced the Black Wizards and remained unsure of their adversaries’ true nature after a long confrontation.

”Experience really is lacking,” Yellow Flowered Cat sighed, its whiskers twitching.

During the conversation, the situation in the field had changed.

Zheng Qing and others revealed their identities, and the two Black Wizards simultaneously raised their hands, signifying no intention to fight.

”We could just end it here,” Yellow Flowered Cat frowned, evidently losing interest, then turned to Korma, ”Have you seen those two mice in the past few days? Whether it’s Fei Rui or Rat Immortal, either would do.”

”It looks like Zheng Qing isn’t planning on just letting those two go,” Korma sidestepped Yellow Flowered Cat’s question.

Flower Cat lowered its head again.

”Tsk, idiots.” It listened to the conversation between the young wizard and the Black Wizards, annoyed, its whiskers bristling high: ”They already know it’s a misunderstanding, why not just wave goodbye and leave it at that? Why go looking for trouble!”

It was referring to Zheng Qing’s decision to tie up the two Black Wizards and hand them over to the authorities.

”School education is good, it’s necessary for young people to have a sense of justice,” Korma delicately said.

”Bookworm’s education,” Yellow Flowered Cat huffed disdainfully, its gaze returning to the confrontation below, pausing a moment before changing its tone, ”That said, those two Black Wizards are quite perceptive, knowing when to bow and when to stand tall...”

Then below, the tall wizard called out words like ’goat’, ’wild boar’, ’flower lady’, frustrating the Jiang family young lady enough to cast a weakened version of the Heavenly Punishment Curse right there.

Flower Cat was left speechless.

Before its tongue could retract, it saw the Black Wizard make a clever move, quickly using a forced transformation spell, turning the Jiang family young lady into a cat—luckily, the potent restorative nature of the transformation spell neutralized the backlash of the weakened Heavenly Punishment Curse.

”Do you think the actions of those two Black Wizards are tolerable?” Korma timely spoke, resolving a bit of Yellow Flowered Cat’s embarrassment.

”Of course, of course,” Flower Cat muttered, its tail drooping, sweeping from side to side, ”Everyone should mind their own business, not judge others. Black Wizards, White Sorcerers, Grey Wizards, they’re all wizards.”

”Should we lend a hand?” The witch looked at Zheng Qing facing the two Black Wizards alone, slightly worried: ”Zheng Qing seems a bit in over his head right now.”

”That’s trivial!” Yellow Flowered Cat waved a paw, refusing the witch’s suggestion, pointing at Zheng Qing, ”That kid has seen plenty of big scenes, not to mention the recent times like when he fought Satoguya with you in that small world, his performance was good enough... Just two Black Wizards, who aren’t even registered wizards, he could easily take them down with a few spells.”

”But...” Korma delicately started—she wanted to say that Zheng Qing was a Black Cat that could enlarge, and he eventually exploded. Plus, she felt that not all the school’s students could handle the Northern District Black Wizards’ dirty tricks.

Before she could say anything, Yellow Flowered Cat confidently raised a paw, adding, ”No one knows the old man better than me... the old man had given that boy some special tips the other day which definitely included some powerful magic... Hmm, quite an interesting talisman... Trust me, just with that talisman paper, he could severely injure those two Black Wizards!”

It had seen the talisman paper Zheng Qing had quietly dropped on the ground.

Korma opened her mouth, then closed it—she wanted to remind Yellow Flowered Cat that the two Black Wizards were secretly drugging, a common dirty trick among Black Wizards in the Northern District.

But since Flower Cat hadn’t mentioned it, she assumed Zheng Qing must be wearing an antidote amulet then.

This thought hadn’t even faded from her mind when the brave young cost student confronting the Black Wizards abruptly collapsed to the ground.

Korma distinctly felt Yellow Flowered Cat stiffen for a moment.

She quietly lowered her head, pretending not to have seen this scene.
