Chapter 1312: Chapter 59: The True Black Wizard (Part 3)

Bullets are always most threatening when not fired.

The same is true for spells.

The spells recorded in the Law Book, in their ready but unreleased state, best help both conflicting parties maintain a certain level of calm and restraint. Zheng Qing needed the two Black Wizards opposite him to stay a bit calm, and he also needed to control his own impulsive heat.

Because he wasn’t alone.

Beside him was a Little White Cat that had lost its Mana and hardly had any self-protection abilities. He had to find a way to safely lead the Little White Cat away—charging at two unknown Black Wizards was not within the consideration of the young cost student.

For one, nearly half a year of school life had gradually taught him the wizards’ cautious way of handling things, never to take risks without full preparation; secondly, right now, he did not have too many methods to deal with the two Black Wizards.

His most powerful Charm Gun was stuffed into his head by his teacher, and the familiar Law Book was also forced into the deepest part of the Grey Cloth Bag for similar reasons; there were a few Talismans, but no proper opportunity to release them.

As for the Law Book borrowed from the library, due to quality and version issues, it could only accommodate five spells.

Tomorrow was Monday, and to wake up on time, he had recorded the Wake-up Spell ”Eight Phoenix Clanging, Emperor Body Rises” early; needing to wash clothes in the evening, he had pre-recorded ”Thin Dirty My Private, Thin Wash My Clothes”; to prevent being locked out for returning to the dormitory too late, he recorded the door-opening spell ”Below the Balance Door, No Guard in Windows and Doors”—this last spell was just recorded at Gini Cottage when Zheng Qing took the opportunity while Jiang Yu and Sister Korma were chatting. For this, he had erased a Soft Leg Curse.

Two slots remained, one belonging to the all-powerful Binding Spell and the other to the so-called Stun Curse ”Walk Hesitant.”

So, right now, Zheng Qing was actually confronting two dangerous Black Wizards with just two control magic spells.

Zheng Qing had never felt so passive.

He secretly swore in his heart that the next time he left school, he would erase the miscellaneous spells from the Law Book and pre-record a series of sufficiently deterrent spells.

As for the present.

He couldn’t keep this stalemate going.

The boy took a deep breath.

The Little White Cat at his feet sighed heavily, flicked its tail, and forcefully whipped it against his ankle, as if complaining about how slow the boy beside it was.

”Why is he still standing?”

”I don’t know... could it be expired?”

”That doesn’t make sense, I just mixed it the day before yesterday...”

”Maybe it was because of that gust of wind just now?”

The whispered conversation of the two Black Wizards not far away gave Zheng Qing an ominous feeling in his heart. He took a few more steps back, his tongue pressing against his upper jaw, drew a cross, and the scent from his nose suddenly became clearer.

Then he finally smelled a slightly sweet scent in the air.

But it was too late, just as he hurriedly took two more steps back, the long-accumulated effect of the Mystery Drug finally burst forth, the young cost student saw a few strings of Venus flash before his eyes, his legs went soft, and he simply collapsed to the ground.

Because the Little White Cat had detected the anomaly before him, it had held its breath early, so when Zheng Qing collapsed, it still had the energy to jump onto the Warlock’s head, standing on his ear, and bravely howled at the two Black Wizards.

But that was all it could do.

”Whew... he finally fell. I almost thought that scoundrel from Wandering Bar cheated me!”

”Shall we strip them?”

”Wait a moment, let him lie down a bit longer... You first collect the Amulet and Law Book that the girl dropped on the ground, we must take action tonight. Although that boy used junk, it’s still worth some gold.”

”What about the people? How do we deal with them?”

”Draw some blood, and we’ll keep it for them for a while. Let them sign a Silence Contract... the usual rules... we can’t make the school too angry, nor can we let these two youngsters escape easily.”

”I think charging them a ’blood management fee’ of five silver dimes each month should do.”

”That girl’s belongings are quite expensive; we can’t let them off cheap. Charge them a gold bean each month, and also the school’s special Talisman or Magic Potion!”

”What a pity... If only we were the Greybuck Brothers. Such tender Little Wizards are valuable in the New World. Even here, a man has many parts that can be sold, and the woman also has a good destination... hehe.”

In his ear, he heard the lewd laughter of a Black Wizard as a young cost student collapsed on the ground, struggling in vain.

Unfortunately, at that moment his face was contorted, his limbs paralyzed, resembling a puddle of mud. Other than having a clear mind and his eyes rolling around, he couldn’t even move a little finger.

Even so, the two Black Wizards remained extremely cautious and didn’t rush over to deal with the two young wizards right away. After several minutes, the shorter Wizard finally went alone to approach Zheng Qing, who was lying on the ground.

”Boom!”

”Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

The short Wizard stepped on the Talisman paper Zheng Qing had quietly left on the ground. Suddenly, a streak of red light flashed, and five blazing fireballs appeared out of nowhere, encircling the shorter wizard. After spinning a few times, they exploded with a loud noise.

This was a Talisman paper that Zheng Qing had newly researched, combining the Five Fireballs Spell with an Explosion charm. It was very powerful, able to summon five large fireballs in an instant, ready to explode at will.

Joy had yet to rise in Zheng Qing’s eyes before he saw the Little dwarf shattered in the fireball explosion, turning into a burst of charred black paper and fluttering to the ground.

Not far away, the figure of the short Wizard re-emerged from the darkness.

There was no sign of anger or irritation on his face, as if he had only accidentally sprained his ankle just now, still walking towards Zheng Qing with his ridiculous waddling gait. His companion did not even glance this way slightly, continuing to squat on the ground, carefully examining the Magic Items that Jiang Yu had scattered.

Zheng Qing did not give up struggling.

He closed his eyes, clenched his teeth, focusing all his attention on the gray-blue trunk in his mind—although his hands, feet, mouth, and tongue were paralyzed, his head and consciousness were still clear!

’Please!’

The young cost student desperately prayed, struggling to rotate his only thoughts, slowly outlining the details of a Colt Python in his mind—the barrel, the cylinder, the firing pin, firing pin spring, hammer spring, trigger, grip, scope, and the intricately fine Runes and patterns attached to the gun’s body, as well as the crucial Fu Bullet.

Perhaps because his only mobilizable faculty was his mind, his concentration was exceptionally focused; the process of sketching the Charm Gun in his mind went smoothly this time.

When the shorter Wizard took his stiff steps to the young Wizard’s side, a color-dim, slightly blue Charm Gun had already appeared in Zheng Qing’s mind.

”Squeak.”

A clear unlocking sound rang out near Zheng Qing’s ear, and a thin crack opened from the gray-blue trunk in his mind.

The shorter Wizard bent down, grabbed Little White Cat by the scruff of her neck, tossing her a few steps away—she had just tried to bite his finger—and simultaneously reached for the gray cloth bag at the Warlock’s waist.

The moment his fingertips touched the gray cloth bag, the Black Wizard’s body suddenly stiffened in place.

”Shit!”

He muttered a curse under his breath.

Unseen and unheld, a Charm Gun quietly appeared behind his head, floating in the air.

The cold barrel firmly pressed against the back of his head.

”Click.”

That was the sound of the magazine rotating, the gun mechanism opening.
