High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 906: Chapter 254: Friends Come from Afar

”Sir?!”

Zheng Qing looked at Mr. Wu with a slightly shocked and inquiring gaze, as if he hoped that he would say something to him.

Clearly, time across the entire world seemed to have frozen at a certain moment. This could be easily inferred from the reactions of people like Xin Fat Man and Su Shijun among others.

Zheng Qing was very curious about why he could still move, why Mr. Wu appeared here, to whom the six-fingered hand in the black hole belonged, who Fei Rui really was, and whether the Yellow Flowered Cat was a wizard among other questions.

However, Mr. Wu did not seem to have the intention to explain any of this to the young wizard.

”How did it come to this, how did it come to this!” The sir shook his head, his gaze pausing momentarily between the broken space around him and especially the traces left by Su Shijun’s consumption of his origin, before finally returning to Six Fingers: ”... They are all still children, why go to such lengths?”

After hearing Mr. Wu’s words, a voice rose sharply from the black hole: ”Ha! Children?! Children with ’beep’?”

Zheng Qing gave Mr. Wu a somewhat pained glance.

Without a doubt, some very crucial information had been ’muted’ in that sentence from Six Fingers. And the only one capable of and willing to do that was Mr. Wu.

”Hehehe... lad, are you curious about what I just said? Just take two steps forward, come to my side, and I can tell you any answer you want to know.” The index finger of Six Fingers made a beckoning gesture, his tone full of temptation.

Unexpectedly, Mr. Wu seemed to have completely ignored the tempting words of Six Fingers, still calmly looking ahead.

Zheng Qing looked at the black hole apprehensively and instinctively stepped back, hiding behind the sir while muttering, ”This guy must be sick (;一_一)!”

”Don’t you want to know why you are not affected by the Force of Time? Don’t you want to know my purpose? You must have many confusions about your own existence!” Six Fingers suddenly raised his voice, ”Take one step forward, and these problems won’t bother you anymore! Even wealth! Even power! Even beauty! Even the future! Whatever you want, we can provide!”

Listening to these seductive words and impassioned tone, Zheng Qing did not feel tempted, but became even more vigilant instead.

Isn’t this style similar to the infamous ’pyramid schemes’?

However, old-fashioned as the style was, Zheng Qing was somewhat concerned about some of the words mentioned by Six Fingers.

”You guys?” The young cost student asked reflexively, casting a glance at Mr. Wu. However, Mr. Wu seemed to have made up his mind, tacitly allowing the interaction between Zheng Qing and Six Fingers.

”Who are you? Was that Bull Head today also one of your people? Why do such things outside the school?” Zheng Qing originally intended to ask only one question, but once he started, more followed uncontrollably: ”Who is your target? Is it me? Why? Is Fei Rui also with you?”

These questions, he was asking both Six Fingers and Mr. Wu.

”Hehehe... so many questions, boy,” Six Fingers chuckled strangely, without directly answering Zheng Qing’s series of questions: ”If you join us, these won’t be problems anymore... Of course, to show Sincerity, I can tell you, we are the Dark Council. And our purpose today is to make the Dark Council appear openly in the Wizard World...”

The Dark Council, that doesn’t sound like a name for any legitimate society... Besides, do the words ’dark’ and ’openly’ not seem contradictory together?

Moreover, if your society wants to appear openly, what does this have to do with me, with the calamity during the winter hunt? If you want to issue some kind of declaration, you should choose the headquarters of the Beta Town Post as a starting point!

These thoughts floated through Zheng Qing’s mind, but he still forcibly restrained his desire to complain.

Because after a long silence, Mr. Wu finally spoke again.

”Enough,” Mr. Wu’s tone became somewhat stern: ”... We allowed your appearance because your existence could somewhat mend the world’s rifts. It is because you can represent a part of the world’s Will. But that doesn’t mean you can act recklessly...”

These words did not clear the previous doubts of Zheng Qing; instead, they confused him even more—did the sir also know about the Dark Council? And he wasn’t opposed to the appearance of the Dark Council?

”Ha! That’s the tone!” Six Fingers seemed stimulated by Mr. Wu’s words, his tone suddenly becoming frenzied: ”Allowed? Acting recklessly? Who do you think you are? Why do you get to decide our existence? Why is the world you interpret the legitimate one?”

”Perhaps the Moon Council, those weaklings, are willing to follow you around picking up scraps... but we are not them.”

At this point, Six Fingers’ tone suddenly changed, becoming somber: ”If we could also control ’beep’, we could control our own destiny, right...?”

Here we go again!

Zheng Qing frustratingly glared at the sir.

Just missing a piece of crucial information, and kept outside of the truth. Zheng Qing could feel that he was only a step away from the truth. It was as if he was looking at the scenery outside through a window misted with moisture. He only needed to wipe away the thin layer of mist.

Yet whenever he raised his arm to wipe it, the wiping cloth would inexplicably fly off... or the hand that was supposed to be cleaning the glass would uncontrollably press against the adjacent wall, ending up cleaning it.

It must be said, this feeling was very frustrating.

”It seems we cannot reach an agreement today,” the sir sighed again, waving his hand as if to shoo away a fly: ”If friends come from afar, we will not send them off!”

Before the words fell, a powerful force swept in from all directions and directly hit the black hole.

Before Six Fingers could utter a fierce retort, he was sent back into the depths of the black hole. And the shadow of the mountain he had summoned earlier was already beaten into a mass of foamy fragments.

Faintly, Zheng Qing also heard some sounds of bones cracking and a painfully sharp scream from someone.

Remembering how that guy had flicked away Su Daxu with a finger earlier, Zheng Qing felt a mixture of shock and awe, his eyes lighting up with fervor.

This was his sir!

”Just go to your school properly... don’t always think about all these unnecessary things.” The sir glanced at the young cost student, looked around a bit, and shook his head: ”... this won’t do...”

”Did you bring the pocket watch?”

The sir tilted his head, then asked.
