Chapter 903: Chapter 251: Entrustment

Voice is a rather fascinating vessel.

On ordinary days, people use it to sing, laugh, recite about love; they also use it to cry, shout, and vent frustrations; it can even be turned into a weapon for reconnaissance, communication, and killing.

On extraordinary days, however, the voice could be a sigh from Melpomene, a whisper from Iris, or a force gushing from a bullhorn, powerful enough to break dimensional constraints.

When Bull Head puffed his cheeks and blew hard into the bullhorn, the entire sandbox world was plunged into an irreversible state of collapse. As the final straw that broke the camel’s back, the sound rushing from the bullhorn not only shattered this fragile world but also seemed to break some binding force.

It was like the appearance of a mirror after being struck by a hammer.

Before Zheng Qing, the space quietly ripped open with a web-like crisscross of lines. Just for a moment— the shock still lingering on Su Shijun’s face nearby—the fragments of space fell from the lines, turning into puffs of starry light that dispersed.

And behind the fragments of space, there was a dark, data-less ’cave’.

It was called a ’cave’ because, aside from the approximative two-meter-diameter space in front of Zheng Qing that was utterly annihilated, the rest of the sandbox still somewhat existed. If an inappropriate comparison were to be made, the sandbox world now resembled a detailed spider web, and right in front of Zheng Qing, a small piece of this web was invisibly torn away, leaving an empty gap.

Su Shijun didn’t want to let the savage bull continue blowing its horn.

It was just that the densely webbed spatial cracks severely restricted her every move. Including her, everyone in the sandbox world resembled little bugs caught in a web, where each struggle tightened the silk and made the mesh denser.

Perhaps the only one unaffected was the Bull Head, who only needed to puff his cheeks and blow.

”Ooooh...”

Bull Head’s eyes widened as he vigorously blew the horn at his mouth.

But along with the robust and melodious sound flowing from the bullhorn, there was also his life. In the eyes of others, every time Bull Head forcefully blew, his body shriveled a bit. It was as if the bullhorn was sucking the life out of him with each breath.

Time ticked by, second by second.

In the air, the crisscrossing ’lines’ became denser. Accompanying them was a subtle, glass-like ’crack’ sound arising beside everyone’s ’ears’.

But even Zheng Qing knew it was just an illusion. When space shattered, humans, including ordinary wizards, couldn’t possibly hear such a ’vivid’ sound. Those strange noises he vaguely caught were merely the soul of a wizard crazily warning their host.

Everyone watched helplessly as the cracks in front of them grew denser.

This was not a predicament that ordinary wizards or registered wizards could escape from by sheer numbers.

Perhaps their only hope lay with the woman dressed in a Red Cloak—after all, she was the only Big Wizard here.

Feeling the hopeful gazes of the others, Su Shijun suddenly sighed and dropped the fox tail she had been holding— even that action was extremely difficult for her.

”Old Yao really screwed us big time this time,” Su Daxu slowly raised her arm, gently flicking her long hair beside her ear, revealing her delicate face.

Then she turned her head, looked at Zheng Qing, and said softly:

”Usually there’s no harm in taking it out for a walk, don’t always let it stay in its nest sleeping, it’s not good for its health.”

”I’ve read up to Chapter nine of ’The Wizard of Oz’ about the Mouse Queen... It prefers listening to Chapter five about the Tin Woodman and Chapter six about the Cowardly Lion, so when you read to it, you might repeat those two Chapters a bit more.”

”A few days ago, Su Ya prepared a Christmas gift for it, but never found the opportunity... later when you go to the mansion, help retrieve it. I’ll have Su Man give you the keys to the mansion, and whenever you pass by on your way to the shop, just drop in and help clean up the Grass Spirits in the garden.”

”I might not have the chance to see it for quite a while.”

”Make it behave.”

At first, Zheng Qing didn’t realize what Su Daxu was talking about.

But as the tasks she described became clearer, Zheng Qing gradually realized—it was about ’The Wizard of Oz’, Su Ya’s gift, all these were related to Poseidon. Su Shijun was instructing Zheng Qing on how to handle Poseidon.

The moment he realized this, Zheng Qing was immediately terrified out of his wits. He hadn’t forgotten that besides Su Daxu and those four half-dead Righteous Bodies, there were also about a dozen teaching assistants from First University and three other hunters from the Absolution Hunting Team in this garden.

Even though the teaching assistants had been left vomiting blood from Bull Head’s ferocious assault earlier, most of them must have recovered by now.

At this moment, it’s unknown how many ears belonging to Old High are harboring some dreadful thoughts inside.

However, this fear completely vanished when the witch mentioned ’make it behave.’ Zheng Qing was not foolish—otherwise, he wouldn’t have secured a scholarship at Jiuyou Academy. He was merely accustomed to life in the Ivory Tower and not inclined to care about worldly affairs.

But with a little thinking, he understood the implications behind Su Shijun’s words.

It was almost as if she was making arrangements for afterward.

”You’re joking, right...?” the warlock stammered, his face pale as he looked at the witch, his lips twisting as though trying to squeeze out a smile, but the effort seemed somewhat unsuccessful, only making his lips tremble slightly.

Su Shijun playfully made a ghost face:

”If you get a chance, remember to smash Old Yao’s office for me!”

Before she finished speaking, the long Red Cloak behind her flared up—almost as if in an instant, the surrounding crannied space ceased to be an obstacle—and at the same time, the three pale blue Fox tail silhouettes swaying behind her gradually solidified, wrapped around by ribbons of light that flickered like flames.

Then the witch bent down, her hands touching the ground.

”Boom!”

This action made the ground shake. At that moment, her increasingly solid Fox tails exploded into a shower of light, with pale blue spots like glue filling the space, mending the increasingly fine spatial cracks.

Zheng Qing felt an instant relief around him, as the feeling of being bound by space dissipated. He was shaken, scrambling up from the ground.

”One minute, move out!” Su Shijun raised her head, looked at Zheng Qing, and commanded sharply.
