Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 765: Chapter 394: She Is the Evidence (Second Update)

The Waves of the Danube Waltz was adapted from wartime music, so inevitably, there’s an exhilarating and joyful aspect to the piece.

Listening to the music, Lawrence Winters could feel the thrill of the charge and the joy of victory.

In the center of the dance hall, Ruby Sheldon’s silver-blue V-neck lace applique gown swirled to the rhythm. She danced with her partner with lightfootedness and professional grace.

Everyone watched intently; hardly anyone was talking. All eyes were fixed on the two elegantly dancing in the middle of the dance floor.

Autumn Stetford nudged Aiden Shelon’s arm and said with a smile, ”Look, Betty is so happy.”

Aiden Shelon’s gaze shifted from his phone, glancing at the two in the center, slightly touched, ”Betty dances very well, she’s put effort into practicing.”

Autumn Stetford’s lips curled up, slowly leaning her head against the part beneath Aiden Shelon’s shoulder, and the figures of the two drew close.

Everyone present could tell that Aiden Sheldon had a relationship with his wife that was as sweet as honey.

Five minutes later, Ruby Sheldon’s lead dance came to an end.

The music paused for a moment and switched to another waltz piece.

The waiting young lady and gentleman eagerly took to the floor and began to dance along.

In an instant, skirts fluttered and laughter resounded throughout the dance floor as everyone enjoyed the delightful time.

At this time, the tycoons didn’t need to consider whether the recent acquisition proposal had any issues, whether the company should expand or contract. The wealthy youngsters didn’t need to think about who bought a new designer bag or who had repeatedly traveled abroad for custom-made apparel.

Edward Foster, watching everyone dance, felt an itch to join in and dance a piece himself.

He grabbed Lawrence Winters’s arm, wanting to take to the floor and dance, laughing, ”Lawrence, let’s dance a piece together. It doesn’t matter if you can’t dance, just step on my feet! If I yell in pain, I lose!”

Unawares, Lawrence Winters was pulled down onto the dance floor.

Seeing several couples spinning towards him, Lawrence quickly shook off Edward Foster’s hand, shaking his head, ”Little Edward, stop joking. If I really dance, stepping on your feet wouldn’t be the problem, I might crash into others...”

Thud—!

Just as he finished speaking, as if to verify his words, a loud bang sounded from the dance floor, as if someone had fallen to the ground.

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Edward Foster: ”...”

The people dancing in the dance floor were startled and all suddenly stopped.

The man who was spinning triumphantly with Ruby Shelton just moments ago now wailed: ”Miss Sheldon! Miss Sheldon! What’s happened to you?! Don’t scare me!”

Aiden Sheldon and Autumn Stetford exchanged a glance and immediately rushed onto the dance floor.

The people in the dance floor quickly made way, watching as Aiden Sheldon and Autumn Stetford made their way to the center.

Ryan and Nathan Sheldon, the two brothers, also quickly rushed over.

Through the gaps in the crowd, Lawrence Winters saw Ruby Sheldon collapsed on the ground.

Her male partner was half-kneeling, holding her upper body, constantly tapping her head.

Lawrence Winters pursed his lips and silently retreated to the sofa next to Mrs. Foster.

Those within Mrs. Foster’s circle, upon hearing the noise, also turned to look.

The conductor of the band hurriedly stopped the performance, looking at the dance floor in confusion.

”Doctor! Doctor! Call a doctor quickly!” Aiden Sheldon shouted loudly, already having taken Ruby from her partner, half-crouching on the ground, cradling her in his arms.

A minute later, the Sheldon family’s on-call doctor and nurse quickly arrived, taking out a series of medical instruments to administer first aid to Ruby Sheldon.

Lawrence Winters kept alert for a long time, worried that Ruby Sheldon might pull her usual antics, unexpectedly Ruby herself fainted.

Suddenly, there was a feeling as if winning without dignity, and emptiness and loneliness, looking around, there was no worthy opponent...

Lawrence Winters’s feelings were mixed.

There, the doctor and nurse worked on the rescue for a while, then told Aiden Sheldon, ”Lay her flat, let her lie down for a moment. If she doesn’t wake up in a minute, she’ll have to be taken to the hospital.”

Aiden Sheldon asked anxiously, ”Is it that serious? Shouldn’t we take her to the hospital now?”

The doctor replied, ”After the first aid, her heartbeat and pulse have normalized. But if she remains unconscious, it might not be a small problem, and she’ll need to go to the hospital for a full examination.”

”Of course, if she wakes up in a minute, then it’s nothing serious.” He tried his best to reassure the Sheldons, who had turned pale.

Aiden Sheldon watched his watch, starting to time it.

Their family doctor was indeed skilled. A minute later, Ruby Sheldon let out a soft moan and slowly opened her eyes.

She weakly said, ”Dad, Mom, I worried you again...”

”It’s alright, Betty, it’s alright. As long as you’re okay.” Autumn Stetford’s eyes turned red instantly.
