Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 761: Chapter 392: Ignorance Is No Crime (Third Update)

”Mr. Sheldon, didn’t you see the photo of your daughter’s dress on her social media? It’s not like it wasn’t there,” Lawrence Winters didn’t intend to be so cutting, but thinking of the previous dress worn by the little dog, he finally asked.

Aiden Sheldon: ”...”

”I don’t look at social media.” He said indifferently, ”But seeing you in this dress feels very familiar to me.”

As he spoke, he held the phone like giving an order, ”Turn thirty degrees to the side, don’t turn back, look ahead.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

She blinked, not quite understanding Aiden Sheldon’s way of thinking.

But publicly, she couldn’t really argue with the host.

She could only turn her body thirty degrees and look ahead.

Aiden Sheldon quickly pressed the phone, taking several profile photos of her.

After taking them, Lawrence Winters turned back, her smile without warmth, ”Mr. Sheldon, what’s this about? Don’t you think you owe me an explanation?”

”Miss Winters resembles an old acquaintance of mine in that dress; I wanted to compare. You wouldn’t mind, would you?” Aiden Sheldon gathered himself, calmly said, ”I’ll pay you a copyright fee for these photos; I’ll have my lawyer send you the copyright contract to sign shortly.”

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

”...Is this a copyright issue? Mr. Sheldon, you took my photo without asking my permission.”

”...Did you just object?” Aiden Sheldon countered.

Lawrence Winters: ”...”

Of course not.

Whatever Aiden Sheldon said, she did.

But honestly, who on earth knew what Aiden Sheldon was up to?!

This family’s antics really catch everyone off guard.

Lawrence Winters held her temper, forced a smile, ”I don’t sell my photo rights, so I don’t want my photo used without my consent.”

Aiden Sheldon glanced at her, ”Understood, after I compare, I’ll delete the photos.”

”I’ll hold you to that, I’ll have my lawyer send you the use contract, you’ll need to sign it,” Lawrence Winters mimicked Aiden Sheldon’s tone and demeanor, speaking earnestly.

Quite a quick response indeed.

Aiden Sheldon looked at her, a fleeting smile passed through his eyes.

Without saying more, he turned around, left the hallway, and returned to his seat, which was Ryan Sheldon’s previous spot.

Ruby Sheldon noticed him returning and quickly said, ”Dad, went out for a smoke again?”

She could smell the faint smoke on Aiden Sheldon.

Aiden Sheldon was browsing social media, hummed in response, fingers gliding swiftly over the phone screen.

Soon, he found the photo on Ruby Sheldon’s social media from a few days ago.

Indeed, it was the same dress, just a different color.

Of course, Ruby Sheldon looked completely different in that dress compared to Lawrence Winters.

Even though the style was the same.

Because this dress emphasized the figure, not meant to hide flaws.

Aiden Sheldon glanced at it, handed the phone to Ruby Sheldon, and asked, ”You were planning to wear this dress today? Why didn’t you?”

”I did wear it.” Ruby Sheldon’s spirits immediately dimmed, lowering her head, fingers twirling the white tablecloth on the dining table, ”But... but...”

She glanced over at Lawrence Winters, said faintly, ”...Someone’s wearing the same dress, unbelievably wearing the same outfit as me.”

Aiden Sheldon’s silence followed.

Ruby Sheldon peeked up quickly, seeing his noncommittal expression, rushed on, ”I really don’t get it. Normally, people attending someone’s party should inquire about what the host is wearing to avoid matching outfits, right? Even if they don’t have my social media, they should’ve asked someone... Also, I can’t fathom why the person who brought her to the party thought to cause me embarrassment?”

”...Who are you talking about?” Aiden Sheldon initially wanted to tell Ruby Sheldon to refrain from making snide remarks, this posture could seem unappealing, but looking at her light brown eyes and aggrieved expression, he softened his tone, just patted her head.

Ruby Sheldon brightened inside, gestured toward Lawrence Winters, ”It’s her... Look at her dress, isn’t it identical to the one I posted on social media? Well, maybe not identical, a little different, right? I don’t have her on social media, so it’s excusable. But Mrs. Fu... Mrs. Fu should’ve known...”

Ruby Sheldon spoke ambiguously; indeed, she wasn’t connected with Mrs. Fu on social media either.

But in their circle, this is basic etiquette.

Even without social media connection, it should be inquired through the housekeeper beforehand.

Aiden Sheldon couldn’t bring himself to blame Ruby Sheldon, but with her even daring to imply Mrs. Fu, he had to speak.

He held a knife and fork, spoke softly, ”Betty, ignorance is not a sin, besides, you indeed don’t look as good in that dress as Miss Winters does; what you’re wearing now looks much better, far better than that dress.”
