Chapter 1330: Chapter 569: Tamu Khan! (Part 3)

The first to give in were the demon mages of Tzeentch. The conspiracy witch from the Ural Tribe quickly realized something was amiss. Screaming, she led her Tzeentch demon mages swiftly from the battlefield, leaving the Tzeentch fanatics behind. Within a few minutes, the last Tzeentch cultist melted away in Nurgle’s pus stream.

”For the love of the benevolent father!” Tamu Khan spewed rotting flesh from his bloated, ulcerated mouth, raising his War Axe: ”Advance!”

”For the benevolent father!”

”Praise Nurgle!”

The yellow-green turbid torrent swept across the battlefield. Now, the weak and cowardly had no choice but to flee, their pitiful and timid appearance amused the Evil God, whose laughter echoed gleefully across the chaotic battlefield.

Currently, blocking Tamu Khan’s path were Sargass the Void, the champion of Slaanesh, and his Desire Knight brigade, along with the Khorne Champion Haka and his Khorne’s Brass Chosen Warriors.

The sky poured rain, with lightning and thunder rumbling, as Tamu Khan’s plague army formally engaged with Khorne’s Brass Warriors and Slaanesh’s Desire Knights. Amidst the torrential downpour, Tamu Khan led the charge, riding his Toad Dragon into the fray.

”The outcome of the battle will soon be decided,” the traveler and his followers maintained their silence, simply observing the war and awaiting the result.

... This is the onlooker’s dividing line ...

Meanwhile, in the Old World, Brittania, Charon Forest.

Naturally, Laine was completely unaware of events occurring thousands of miles away on the Kurgan Steppe.

After organizing personnel and troops, Laine led more than three thousand people to retreat from Musillon, preparing to return to his own territory.

By late July, Surya’s pregnancy was nearing eight months, and it was imperative for him to return.

Fortunately, from her letters, Surya was very understanding of Laine’s endeavors. Moreover, the Lake Fairy and Laine’s personal maid, the dark elf Ollica, constantly accompanied the lady knight, ensuring her spirit remained stable, especially the Lake Fairy’s presence.

Nonetheless, Surya still harbored some resentment towards Laine, hoping he’d hasten his return from Musillon.

Laine naturally surrendered to the situation; there’s no reasoning with a pregnant woman. He immediately wrote pledging a swift return. For this, Laine abandoned the slowly retreating, gradually disbanding knightly army, and with Francois, Jerald, and several Holy Grail Knights from the Quenalis Champion Knights Brotherhood, he rushed to return home as soon as possible.

In the forest, the Holy Grail Knights, hurrying all the way, gradually approached Angerong’s established base—the Forest Cottage.

The knights were to take a brief respite here.

After dismounting, Laine found Angerong feeding his Horned Eagle Beast, ”Nukelion.” Despite his anxiety, Laine restrained himself, approaching with a smile: ”Brother, feeding it?”

”Indeed, Nukelion has had a tough journey,” Angerong stuffed large chunks of roast pork into the beast’s mouth, the Horned Eagle Beast clearly relishing it, spreading its wings and devouring the food.

”Journey?” Laine asked, puzzled: ”Brother, you’ve been out?”

”This war you fought was impressive, brother,” Angerong didn’t directly respond to Laine’s query, grinning: ”At thirty-four, I hadn’t your prowess; then I was still in the gladiatorial arena fighting aimlessly with a batch of others.”

”You heard about my endeavors?” Laine casually inquired.

Angerong shook his head.

”... Did you follow me?” Laine quickly figured it out.

Angerong still shook his head, avoiding further discussion on the topic. Instead, the World-Devourer Primarch handed Laine a letter.

”Fugen, that effeminate fellow, and his Ash Legion are preparing to recruit a massive number of new soldiers in the Old World.”

”They’ll arrive shortly.”
