Chapter 1309: Chapter 561: Blood Dragon Ancestor Appears (Part 2)

Among those who stood before him, no one dared to question his power and glory. If one were to examine his history, they would discover that his life was a series of overwhelming victories, sweeping away all challenges without suspense. Whoever he faced, he always won decisively without a hint of doubt.

Only in the Knight Kingdom did he encounter the Green Knight, where the two Old World’s most powerful figures fought to a standstill.

The King of Green Eyes fixed his gaze on his old rival, the Green Knight, who twirled the Blade of Suffering in his hand: ”You have finally come, yet I must say, you did not keep your oath to me, you promised me.”

”Indeed, for that, I offer my apologies, my esteemed adversary.” The newcomer slowly approached: ”Thus, I have come to resolve this matter.”

”You wish to have a champion duel with him?! I do not allow it.” The King of Green Eyes’ voice was detached, his tone wavering like an ethereal breeze, yet resolute: ”He is not yet ready to face you.”

”I am very much looking forward to it.” The arrogance that seeped from the newcomer’s soul was somewhat tempered in front of the King of Green Eyes: ”I look forward to his growth; someday, he will grow to match me.”

”But not now.” The Green Knight urged his horse to approach slowly, walking alongside the visitor: ”If you wish to face him, you must face me first.”

”I have promised.” The visitor nodded: ”I have promised that I will not trouble the Knight Kingdom.”

”Yet your bloodline has committed many misdeeds here.” The Green Knight stated calmly: ”They have troubled this country greatly.”

”That was merely an accident, besides, I am myself, and my bloodline is my bloodline. I have never restrained them, never.”

”You do not restrain them, yet you appear here.”

”I come with the means to resolve the problem.” There was an extreme confidence in the visitor’s voice: ”To solve this issue, I specifically brought my followers on a trip around the ruins of Wusoran’s former empire and gathered some things. I have promised, and I will abide by it. I once hoped we could create a kingdom truly belonging to the brave and ideal together, but alas, you refused.”

”The living and the dead can never coexist, never... I remember now, Wusoran was your former master.” The King of Green Eyes nodded: ”So what exactly do you intend to do?”

”Bring that young knight here.” The visitor said each word slowly and deliberately: ”I intend to negotiate a deal with him, rest assured, I, Alboim Wallace of the Blood Dragon Family, swear here that I will not harm your future king!”

The visitor was none other than Alboim Wallace, known as the Blood Dragon Ancestor, a member of the Blood Dragon Family, one of the five great Vampire families, possessing immense power and the feat of slaying a dragon!

The Green Knight remained silent, his expression hidden beneath the helmet, unfathomable. He stared at Alboim Wallace’s face, seeming to hesitate and confirm something.

Finally, after a lengthy pause, the Green Knight nodded: ”I will bring him here, hoping your terms satisfy him.”

”I will.”

The figure of the Green Knight slowly retreated, disappearing into the forest, while from the depths of his throat, the Blood Dragon Ancestor let out a low sound, nodding slightly: ”You have given everything to protect this kingdom, my honorable adversary.”

”But as for me, there is nothing left to protect. Wusoran’s empire, Nefertari as well.” Alboim Wallace recalled the years of dueling with the Green Knight a millennium earlier, smiling wryly: ”The glory of the past is long gone.”

”Left behind, only emptiness!”

......This is the divider filled with emptiness...

An hour later, Laine, led by the Green Knight, arrived in front of the Blood Dragon Ancestor.

Both parties engaged in a serious discussion.

”So, you wish for me to spare the Blood Dragon Race vampires in the city?” Laine’s brow furrowed; he knew the other’s background, it was terrifyingly large. The person before him was Alboim Wallace, the Blood Dragon Ancestor, possibly the strongest Warrior in the entire Old World, with unfathomable power. He had once single-handedly slain a dragon and drank its blood, breaking free from the vampire curse, and had single-handedly annihilated several large armies. Once, the Blood Dragon Ancestor, Alboim Wallace, was synonymous with the invincible, unchallenged by anyone.

”Yes.” Alboim Wallace said in a low voice, the eyes under his helmet fixed steadily on Laine’s face: ”You know, I once battled His Highness the Green Knight to a draw; that was the first time in my life I acknowledged an opponent. I had an agreement with him, I wouldn’t trouble the Knight Kingdom.”

”But you didn’t keep the agreement!” Laine said discontentedly: ”Your subordinates have brought too much pain to this kingdom.”

”It was merely an accident. I had originally handed everything over to Valarzi Haken to handle, he did not adequately restrain his own subordinates.” Alboim Wallace said slowly: ”I apologize for it, yet I can’t stand idly by while my bloodline is entirely destroyed here, and that is why I came.”

After he finished speaking, Alboim Wallace clapped his hands, and four Blood Knights emerged from the forest, carrying out twenty large chests: ”Certainly, everything comes at a cost, and I will not let your interests suffer for it, I assure you.”

”I will not yield to the Undead, I utterly despise these vampires who desecrate the living, by surviving on blood.” Laine said righteously: ”Haven’t the Undead brought enough harm to this country? I am the true Duke of Musillon, and I must take responsibility for this land, it is my right and duty. Yes, due to the intervention of Chaos, I indeed accepted the surrender of the von Castain Clan’s lord, but that doesn’t change my contempt for the Undead. Now you want me to spare those wicked Blood Dragon Race vampires in the castle, it is impossible, no matter how much sincerity you offer to me, that sincerity is just null and void...”

The twenty large chests were opened, each one two meters long and one meter wide. The first ten chests were filled with countless treasures of gold and silver, pure gold and silver along with various jewels and jewelry, each piece a priceless treasure.

The next ten chests were filled with innumerable gold coins of various types: the Empire’s Gold Mark, Brittania’s Gold Crown, Estalia’s Gold Exelant, Kislev Kingdom’s Gold Ducat, Tiriel’s Gold Talente.

There was even one chest filled with the Dwarves’ Oath Gold Coins, a massive chest with over a thousand coins! The rich rune power and the Dwarves’ exquisite craftsmanship proved these were genuine Oath Gold!

Two large chests were filled with High Elf coins called Sovlin! These exquisitely crafted coins featured engravings of castles, spires, and temples, occasionally adorned with famous Giant Dragons, Pegasi, and other mythical creatures. These Gold Dragon Coins could be traded for twenty-five to thirty Gold Crowns each!

What shocked Laine even more was a chest containing the legendary Gold Stone Coins, a currency from the distant and ancient Zhendan Empire! Older than any known human history! These were priceless, unseen on any market!

When the last chest was opened, Laine was beyond words.

The last chest contained little, mostly simple silver leaves, each crafted from pure silver, portraying a leaf from ash, elm, maple, oak, or birch trees, seemingly unremarkable.

However, Laine recognized what they were, these silver leaves were the currency used by elves before they retreated from the Old World! Their value lay in the precision of their detail, every vein on the leaves was clear and could be felt with a fingertip, each such silver leaf could sell for 250 Gold Marks in the Empire’s black market!

”Well? Is this money enough to buy my bloodline a way out?” To Alboim Wallace, these treasures were worthless compared to honor and martial prowess, mere external possessions.

Laine took a deep breath, his voice trembling.

”Absolutely im...possible to refuse.”

”Then, it’s a deal.” The Blood Dragon Ancestor nodded.

”However, before that, I have one more condition!”

”Speak.”
