Chapter 1308: Chapter 561: Blood Dragon Ancestor Appears

Looking at the Temple Knight standing in the center of the camp, Laine’s face slightly changed.

”Afu, are you serious?”

The Temple Knight who volunteered stood before everyone, nodding forcefully: ”I am serious, I believe this mission is destined for me!”

The one who came was Alfred, this Temple Knight leading a team of about a hundred Paladins and Ascetic Monks arrived at the camp.

”Afu, this task is not as simple as you think, we need to transport a large amount of explosives to the bottom of the dark channel.” Laine frowned tightly, and he continued: ”Do you know what it means to detonate gunpowder in an underground, enclosed cavern?”

”It means that even if I use the Holy Shield Skill, I may not be able to come out alive.” Alfred knew very well.

”Even so, you still...” Laine looked at Alfred, the newly appointed Duke of Musillon couldn’t help but hesitate.

The Holy Shield Skill is not an invincible existence, currently, Alfred with his Legendary Power can maintain the Holy Shield Skill for twelve seconds, and can use it once a day.

But even so, the Holy Shield Skill cannot protect Alfred from the most severe and fearsome damage, facing such an explosion, he is very likely to be blown to pieces on the spot.

”Besides me, no one can take on this job.” Alfred was also very serious: ”Firstly, I am a Temple Knight, I am naturally resistant to undead forces, my plate armor is engraved with blessings, the Holy Light Skill can protect me from temporary harm from undead magic, and furthermore, as you said, the Holy Shield Skill.”

”But...” Laine knew Alfred’s decision was already made, he opened his mouth: ”This is too risky.”

”Then do you have a better candidate than me?” Alfred retorted: ”You can’t personally go down to ignite the fuse yourself?”

This made Laine hesitate.

The Duke’s original intention was actually to arrange a willing Peasant Infantry to ignite the fuse, and then richly reward the peasant’s family, granting them as Free People. Laine believed such a promise would bring forth many willing peasants.

However, since Alfred insisted, Laine couldn’t well refuse, after all, he was asked directly.

Laine exchanged a glance with Teresa: Can you ensure Afu’s safety?

I’ll try my best, the female sorcerer returned to Laine with an assuring look.

”Alright then.” Laine finally nodded: ”Since this is the case, Afu, the Dwarf Engineer will prepare a sufficient amount of explosives, Veronica will inject a large amount of Flame Energy into these explosives, what you need to do is, after placing the explosives, enter the dark channel to ignite the fuse. At that time, I will lead all the troops to siege the city to divert the attention of the defenders for you, creating an opportunity.”

”Understood, leave it to me!” Alfred was very confident in himself, he replied loudly.

Laine gave a command, and the dwarves began testing, with Harharaver the Gold Digger, the Chief Engineer of the Angland Clan, leading the Dwarf Engineers and Dwarf Craftsmen in calculating how much explosives and the force needed to use the dark channel to collapse the city walls.

Teresa also began preparing spells, she needed to cast an Ice Barrier and Frost Shield on Alfred, which would increase his chances of survival.

Everything started to be prepared intensely and urgently.

At the same time, in the depths of the forest outside the Alliance Camp.

The blinding green light lit up the midnight forest, the Green Knight riding his Ghost Warhorse strolled through.

Since a thousand years ago, he has been guarding this country, and the Knight Kingdom is everything to him. He was granted immortality by the Lake Fairy, living for a thousand years watching this country from its new birth, prosperity, peak, to decline. The Green Knight has experienced far too much, mortal sentiments gradually dissipated, his heart already weary, all he could do was fight endlessly, fight repeatedly, over a thousand years, he has exterminated tens of thousands of Beastmen, countless strong enemies were slain under his sword.

Holding the Blade of Suffering, the Green Knight walked slowly through the forest.

”Ultimately, Landuin also left me.” He murmured to himself: ”But from Laine, I see the power of renewal, he might... bring a rebirth to this Kingdom.”

”Therefore, I cannot allow you to appear here.” The King of Green Eyes looked coldly and indifferently at the depths of the forest: ”Why are you appearing here at this time?”

”I am here for my bloodline.” From the forest depths, a knight whose age couldn’t be discerned walked out.

This knight had a burly figure, wearing a full set of Blood Dragon Armor engraved with dark red runes, his pale hair fell from the gaps in his helmet, a gigantic Blood Dragon statue stood on his helmet.

The knight’s everything was very simple, except for the dark red Blood Dragon Armor and the Great Sword in hand, he had nothing else.

But when this knight stood there, it seemed as though he had conquered all the world, stepping all enemies beneath his feet, his every movement was engulfed by the blood-red waves around him, under the long armor skirt were bloodstains everywhere, when he opened his mouth to speak, the surrounding plants even slowly turned away, seemingly wanting to separate from all this.

His appearance was firm and quite weathered, glancing around with great authority, his every word like the absolute truth of the world, remembered by all living things, the era of the living was gone! Now is the era of his reign!

Shaking the world, intimidating all races, unmatched grandeur, I alone am supreme, his face radiated with intense arrogance.
