Chapter 1314: Chapter 563: Musillon Falls (2)

”Clang~ Clang~” The sound of iron boots stepping in the wet mud echoed one after another.

”One!” The distance was just right! The Temple Knight began to slow down.

”Two!” Leaning backward, Alfred calculated the distance.

”Three!!!” A torch blazing with Magic Flame flew out of his hand, whirling in the air, shooting straight towards the large iron balls filled with gunpowder!

”For justice! I grant you judgment!” As it flipped in the air, the torch gradually approached within Alfred’s sight.

”Run!!!” Alfred turned around and ran; within seconds, a massive explosion nearly deafened him, and a gigantic wave of explosive force surged toward him from behind in an instant!

”Holy Shield Skill!!!” The Temple Knight immediately cast his life-saving spell!

A golden ring enveloped him; the Holy Shield Skill took effect!

But Alfred hadn’t had a moment to breathe a sigh of relief when the golden ring of the Holy Shield Skill immediately cracked under the massive explosive impact! Countless cracks quickly spread across every part of the ring!

”Bang!” With an expression of surprise, Alfred watched the Holy Shield Skill shatter!

Teresa’s Ice Armor flashed briefly and was instantly swallowed by the explosive flames and waves!

The Ice Barrier was triggered immediately, but the transparent barrier of ice only protected Alfred for two seconds before shattering!

”Ugh!” The flames had already engulfed Alfred’s entire body; his hair and his scriptures ignited at once, and the Temple Knight was blown away by the explosion.

Damn... I really overestimated myself, Alfred thought, as he felt his body uncontrollably sailing outward. Clenching his teeth, the Temple Knight used the last of his strength to cast a Holy Light Skill to save himself. The Holy Light Skill temporarily repelled the flames and stabilized his injuries, and then he gritted his teeth against the pain, trying to force himself to rush out.

Now, he was just a short distance from the exit of the sluice!

”Young man is always so confident.” At this moment, a man clad in blood-red plate armor and wearing a Blood Dragon Golden Crown appeared at the sluice’s exit. His face was full of endless arrogance, wisdom, and confidence, and his presence dominated everything, even the flames shied away from him: ”Honor and faith, hmm, steadfast will, the determination to face death, I admire you, young man.”

”Ugh...” Alfred’s ears were filled with ringing, and he couldn’t hear what the newcomer was saying. The Temple Knight didn’t have a chance to speak as the man immediately grabbed his arm, pulling Alfred up with such strength that he threw the fully armored Alfred, weighing nearly three hundred pounds, into the sky, flying towards the distance: ”Well, your task is completed. Go rest.”

The next second, the newcomer was completely engulfed by the explosive flames and waves.

Damn, his strength is enormous, my arm seems dislocated.

This was Alfred’s last thought before falling unconscious.

”Boom!”

”Boom~ Boom!”

Earth-shattering noises erupted across the entire battlefield of Musillon,

Musillon’s walls crumbled under this ear-splitting explosion, the tens-of-meters-high walls directly blown open by a single shockwave! Massive rubble fell and caused tumult among the crowds.

”Rumble—!!”

A thunderous roar followed as a surge of blazing waves burst from beneath Musillon’s walls. Accompanying a world-shaking roar, thick smoke billowed upwards like an all-encompassing sandstorm, while crimson flames blossomed enchantingly like resplendent otherworldly flowers in intense competition, showcasing the dwarf gunpowder’s power to perfection at this moment.

The fierce explosion nearly caused the Grismore River to reverse its flow. A whole section of the wall continuously collapsed, and shattered boulders fell like a meteor shower, mercilessly crashing into every area near the castle. Francois had long led the Pegasus Knights away from the explosion’s vicinity, but the Pegasi were still so frightened that they flew desperately towards the distance, refusing the knights’ commands.

The undead guards on that section of the wall collectively soared into the sky! They were torn apart in the explosion, falling like a meteor shower without mercy, shattering into bone fragments during the descent,

”Hahahaha~ This is exhilarating!” Alaros, riding on a giant eagle, felt no fear; instead, he felt an unparalleled thrill. The young Forest Lord Alaros loved battle, adventure, and encountering new things. He and his Talas Warhawk Guard had long flown far away from the explosion’s influence. At this moment, Airel’s Divine Chosen Champion was already thinking about how to tell stories at the bonfire party upon returning to Aisloron!

”Success!” Seeing the wall completely collapse in the world-shaking explosion, Laine clenched his fist fiercely from atop his griffin and shouted joyfully, ”Success! Musillon is mine!”

But this joy didn’t last long before worry crept into Laine’s mind; did Afu manage to escape?

There was little time to think now; facing such a precious opportunity, Laine immediately raised Mjolnir and shouted, ”Knights! Advance! Reclaim Musillon! For the Lady! For Brittania! For Landuin!”

”For the Lady! For Brittania!” The knights had been waiting a long time!

The tidal wave of army finally passed through the breach in the wall, storming into Musillon.

”What?” The Blood Dragon Race Vampires, commanding the defense at the gate, watched in shock at what unfolded before them: ”What happened?”

”Hold fast! Hold fast!” Immediately, some vampires tried to organize the remaining troops to counterattack, but without the protective cover of the walls, how could the undead withstand the knights’ onslaught?

”Die!” The Red Dragon Duke Bohemond charged alone into Musillon Castle, swinging his Giant Wolf Fang Club, smashing five Skeleton Warriors in one blow: ”Undead! Face the Lady’s judgment!”

”What on earth happened, why did the walls...” Just as the Blood Dragon Race Vampires were still discussing what had occurred, a blood-red figure approached from afar. They beheaded an Undead Mage with a speed so incredible, no one could see how they made the move; the vampires only saw him gently lift his arm, and the mage’s head fell.

Just as the Blood Dragon Race was about to loudly question the newcomer’s identity, an emotion from the depths of their blood surged through their hearts—a call of the bloodline, an echo from their souls. They could only tremble all over, an inexplicable agitation rising from deep within: ”You are...?”

”Come with me, my offspring.” The newcomer removed his Blood Dragon Golden Crown, speaking calmly to his descendants: ”Time to leave.”

”Ancestor?!”

”Patriarch!”

”It’s Prince Wallace!”

The Blood Dragon Race gasped in surprise, many kneeling, crying out in lament: ”Ancestor, you’ve finally arrived!”

”Save us, save Musillon!”

”Enough is enough, my offspring; you’ve fought to this point, and that’s enough.” Alboim Wallace exhaled a deep breath: ”It’s time to depart.”

”Yes!” The Blood Knights and Blood Dragon Race Vampires could not disobey the Blood Dragon Ancestor’s command. They answered loudly, and subsequently, all the Blood Knights and Blood Dragon Race Vampires gathered and withdrew from the battlefield under Alboim Wallace’s command.

Those who were most obstinate and refused to retreat were dragged off by Alboim Wallace personally, incredibly powerful, the feared Blood Knights, who had left numerous terrifying legends in the Old World, were picked up like little chicks by Alboim Wallace, without any ability to resist.

Following the retreat path pre-arranged by Laine, this group of Blood Knights and Alboim Wallace disappeared into the forest, leaving Brittania, never to return.

Deprived of the military support of the Blood Knights and Blood Dragon Race Vampires, after an entire day of relentless assault, the tidal wave of the Order Alliance Army finally overwhelmed the entire Musillon Castle.

Musillon’s three-hundred-year history under undead rule ended today.

Under Laine’s leadership, Musillon officially returned to Brittania’s hands!
