Chapter 1095: Chapter 476: Bodric’s Plea for Help

A Horned Eagle Beast plummeted from the sky as the World-Devourer Primarch returned to Gene Town, laden with cargo. In his arms, he held a gilded card; it was the business card of a Bounty Hunter.

After the war ended, Brunner persuaded Angerong, who intended to go on a killing spree, stating that joining this war had no benefits, was extremely dangerous, and would lead to a series of issues afterward. The Skaven Ratmen are notorious for their vengeance, and you wouldn’t want to cause trouble for Count Laine, would you?

Brunner, with a dry mouth, spoke for five minutes. Luckily, Angerong listened to the last sentence. Angerong thought that none of the issues prior mattered, but he now had the good life he wanted, and he certainly didn’t want to cause trouble for Laine due to his recklessness.

So Angerong chose to cover his face with a towel and rush forward, slaughtering an entire Storm Rat Legion under Brunner’s dumbfounded expression, tearing two Storm Demon Rats in half and taking the head of the Skaven Warlord from them.

The former Ascension Demon Primarch, Khorne’s Demon Prince, took advantage of the chaos among the Ratmen as they fought for the Warlord position. Angerong used Ratman blood to draw a rough ”U” pattern and signaled the Bounty Hunter to retreat.

Returning to Tiriel, they claimed the bounty. Brunner kept his promise, giving Angerong three hundred Gold Crowns and handed him a business card indicating where to contact Tiriel’s strongest Bounty Hunter in the future. The two went their separate ways.

”Where’s Laine? I brought some specialties from Tiriel.” As Angerong approached the wine estate with many gifts, he found over a hundred fully armed Sea God Knights nearby, and Lorgar was selling his homemade drinks to them: ”Laine is inside for a meeting, Angerong. Want to try the drink I made? It’s filled with the taste of loyalty!”

It was a bizarrely colored drink made by Lorgar using fruit juice, vegetables, and alcohol, in shades of blood red, deep blue, dark green, and pale purple. Judging from the expressions of the Sea God Knights, it seemed to taste good.

”The taste of loyalty?” Angerong paused his steps, having heard Laine was busy, and eyed Lorgar’s concoction.

”Black Legion’s drink, personally selected by Abaddon! Drink it, and you’ll be part of the Warmaster’s men! Haha, April Fool’s, just joking, don’t take it seriously.” Lorgar seemed quite proud of his creation, whispering, ”I’ve made four flavors: Khorne’s Skull taste, Tzeentch’s Bird Head taste, Nurgle’s Soup taste, and Slaanesh’s Enigmatic taste.”

”None of those sound like good choices.” The relationship between Angerong and Lorgar was built after the Great Betrayal. They were acquaintances in the same circle, and hearing Lorgar’s recommendation, Angerong didn’t look pleased.

”Just consider it a trick from me, give it a try. I assure you, you won’t regret it,” Lorgar coaxed Angerong. ”Definitely worth the price.”

”Alright, then... Khorne’s Skull flavor.” Angerong pointed casually.

The blood-red turbid liquid bubbled as Lorgar poured a full glass from a glass bottle. ”Here you go.”

Angerong took the glass and gulped it down in one go.

Spicy! So spicy! The drink, with its sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy flavors, provided intense stimulation akin to strong liquor, making Angerong squint, but the lingering taste of tomato juice and the unique mild spiciness and smoothness of vodka made him breathe a long, comfortable sigh. The stimulating taste of the drink lingered on his tongue and lips: ”This tastes really good.”

”Right? I added tomato juice, chili, pepper, and vodka, along with a hint of lemon and celery juice~” Lorgar said proudly to Angerong, ”It proves to be effective.”

”Interesting.”

Outside the estate, a new wine sales event was underway. Inside the manor, Duke Boldro Bodrick sat opposite Laine. The Sea God Duke had a dark expression as he downed a full glass of red wine: ”I heard you plan to head to Estalia, and I wonder if you could do me a favor while you’re there.”

Laine indeed planned a trip to Estalia soon, and Duke Bodrick had somehow learned of it.

”The Sea God Trident is your Boldro family’s heirloom. How did it get stolen?” Laine asked, puzzled.

”A group of Rogue Knights tunneled into our family’s tomb, stealing the Sea God Trident I placed in the mausoleum,” Duke Boldro Bodrick said bitterly. ”I’ve thoroughly investigated, and it’s undoubtedly the work of Estalian bandits. Our enmity is long-standing. This was an organized and premeditated action.”

Laine intently listened to Duke Bodrick’s recounting of the conflicts between the Boldro family and Estalia.

Estalia is a country bordering Brittania to the north, facing Tiriel across the sea to the east, and the Nikohara Desert across the ocean to the south. It comprises seven autonomous city-states and has never been unified. Its total area is comparable to Brittania, with a population of about five million. The flag bears alternating red and yellow stripes with a white lion emblem.

The first encounter between Brittania and Estalia was the famed ”Red Flame Grand Expedition” (also known as the Arabi Holy War), approximately over five hundred years ago. Under the leadership of the famous Sultan King Jafar, a desert nation was unified and invaded Estalia. This ancient Human Realm nearly faced annihilation, as the Arabian desert cavalry paid no heed to human covenants, killing indiscriminately.
